I love how Across the Stars is romantic, but has sad undertones giving it this sense of impending tragedy. It's both beautiful and foreboding at the same time.
Anakin is the most heartbreaking character in movies. The way is betrayal is portrayed just breaks my heart so much. I don't know why people think Hayden is a bad actor he did a great job
Most of the actors did an excellent job as their portrayal was what Lucas wanted. Even with the original movies it was long known that he cared more for the special effects to carry the day than an actor's performance. They followed the script and Lucas's direction. I often wish Lucas could have been kept away from the acting side and had a director that pushed for more believable writing (such as showing Sidious's manipulation more) and more depth to why Anakin seemed to be a spoiled child most of the time.
obiwan, mace windu, yoda were all terrible teachers. obiwan did not even help his student. If i have student as competent as anakin, i would backed him a lot more.
@@chairmanzia3556 We also know that the only reason Obi-wan backed Anakin in the first place was because his master, Qui-Gon wanted him to. Yoda specifically was right to fear the levels of anger he had in him even as a 9 year old.

This would probably have to be one of my favourite themes of the whole Star Wars saga. It's beautiful, innocent, and romantic, but it also has undertones of sadness and tragedy, hinting at how Anakin and Padme's relationship ends. Those things together make such a heart-wrenching combination, and you captured all of that beautifully in this arrangement... I can't wait to learn it.
This soundtrack shows Anakin's relationship with Padmé better than all dialogues do in whole three films. What would Star Wars be without Williams music?
You're forgetting the fact that without John William's music in the OG Trilogy, there would be no Rouge One, but I do agree that Giachinno's music is pretty good, especially the Imperial Suite.
Thank goodness he returned for the sequals or the redeeming featurws would be far ad few between as opposed to the hundred or so minutes of soundtrack we got from john williams

This is a beautiful song. A duel between hope and despair, between light and dark. John Williams created a haunting masterpiece, and your reinterpretation of it is just as wonderful. I've listened to this dozens of times. Second only to the Maestro's full orchestra, yours is my favorite take on this song.
I like how John Williams composed this masterpiece of a song to go along with George Lucas's vision of a relationship of a guy trying to flirt by talking about how sand is sandy and gets everywhere and a girl trying to flirt by saying he makes her uncomfortable.
Yeah, lucas and dialogue don't mix really well but on the flip side, awkard 18 y.o would say dumb shit like this. Remember anakin would be like a 12th grader who went to a boys only grammar school and padme was 23 and a queen who has been at the helm for more than a decade. She was also working as a politician who would have been rubbing shoulders with elites, dignitaries, jedi masters, politicians so she would be far more socially competent than anakin.
You know what, these comments really bug me. RANT TIME!! Hate if u want, but in my opinion(which I'm certainly entitled to), the prequels were by far the best of the trilogies. No doubt in my mind. I'm relatively new to the Star Wars universe, but even having watched the originals & the sequels, the amount of depth the prequels added is indescribable. I literally am only interested in SW because of them. Yes, Lucas gets a lot of hate for his dialogue, but frankly, like chairman zia said, a 18 year old boy who's basically been isolated for 10 years would be very awkward talking to a girl a couple of years older than him. Furthermore, Anakin kind of was uncomfortable ( it's a bit weird to keep on giving a girl u haven't seen in 10 years verbal and physical signs of attraction like stroking her shoulder even if she may have felt the same way.) Im not saying Lucas intended it that way, but try to understand the POV. I just think that the sarcastic comments about these movies takes away from their patent beauty. I watched the originals first, and saw the redemption of Darth Vader, but after watching the prequels, I think I cried for probably 2 months!!! That's the effect it had on me! I honestly didn't notice all these "imperfections" until I read reddit post, memes, and comments. It's just very difficult to put into words what these movies engender. It's a mix of heartbreak, poignancy, fear, and honestly, anger/ frustration. I didn't really get any of that from any other SW films. Anyway, I could go on far longer, but I just hope someone reads this and gets a new perspective, or at least feels the same way. P.S I'm currently watching the Clone Wars. After season 2, it gets really good! Even more depth! Cant wait for Obi Wan Kenobi!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta say, this is wonderful. John Williams makes the most beautiful music and you play his music wonderfully. Good job. Also this is one of my absolute favorite songs of John and you play it perfectly.
Wow...i can't believe you did such incredible and unique arrangement for this piece...i've just noticed you haven't uploaded any piece by Ennio Morricone...i think it would be great to see you arrange some unforgettable old soundtracks from him...thank you ^_^
To me, this piece conveys how passionate and kind-hearted Anakin was in everything he did and felt and how genuine while also turbulent that growing love was... it's magical
This is, by far, my favorite piece of music from John Williams. It's beautifully tragic. The way love truly is. Always, we lose our loved ones to deaths sting. Yet they say it's better to have loved and lost...than to never have loved at all.
Interesting analogy. Their relationship indeed was forbidden by both their "families", Anakin's being the Jedi and Padmé's being the Senate. The tragic part is sadder, since it's from Anakin's fall to the dark side, and Padmé's heartbreak at it, as opposed to a joint suicide.
Both Anakin and Romeo are best swordsmen, Both couples married secretly due to some family affairs and jedi rules. Juliet wanted to live with Romeo so she acted like she died but that's the main reason for Romeo's dead, Anakin wanted to protect padme so he joined darkside but that's the main reason for padme's dead. But in contrary Romeo and Juliet love stopped the hatred and joined both family but Anakin and padme's love almost destroyed the whole galaxy how ironic.
Imo one of the best and most iconic movie themes ever, up there with Pirates, Indy, Ghostbusters, etc. But if im honest, the Main Star Wars theme can't be topped.
When you learn to play the love theme of your favorite character(s) from Star Wars and your heart just breaks while playing it because it is so sweet and dramatic at the same time and it reminded you of one of the cutest/saddest love stories 💔✨
Say what you want about Attack of the Clones (I love it.), but when Padme and Anakin go out into the Geonosian Arena and Across the Stars starts blaring, its amazing.
I have practiced your beautiful arrangement for quite awhile. Your playing is really fabulous especially all the arpeggios. I will never be able to perform them at your tempo. Awesome performance
I’m going to state this outright, every piece of yours I have listened to has been very impressive and I hope this brings you further success that is definitely deserved.
This may be the single best piece John Williams has ever composed. It is one of the many reasons he should be spoken about in the same way as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven

Burada Türkleri görmek güzel 👍
I rarely cry, but this is one of the few things that made me cry. Thank you, for this breathtaking arrangement.
The colours are lovely and your hands flow across the keys so lightly and gently that one appreciates the care put into each note.
@Soulful Notes At first I was going to say "Thanks so much, but please don't flatter me into watching your YT videos."
After reviewing some other comments on this video, and realising that you're just copying and pasting this same message (not so heartfelt to my comment then, is it?) I understand that you're here just for the views, not because of my interest in music, or your "lovely" views on my comment.
Please don't spam messages like this in the comments.
Me: I'm so going to learn this.
Also me: Girl. Patrik arranged this. You DO NOT have the skills needed.
Every single time.
Thanks though, every time your arrangement is something I didn't know I needed but I did. I love what you do, you have all my support!
A beautiful nostalgia-filled arrangement.
Patrik, you've done it again.
Omg. uploaded 1 minute ago. YES. You're the BEST
How can you see the hour when a RUclips video was uploaded?
This is the best song ever, I love it!
Monsieur Pietschmann, vos reprises sont tout simplement magnifiques, vous avez, plus qu'un talent, un véritable don. Continuez à nous faire rêver, je vous souhaite réussite et le même bonheur que vos reprises m'apportent.
More Star Wars please ! :))) Could you play the Cantina Band Theme for example or The Throne Room theme ?
Thumps up if you are a Star Wars fan
Yeah more star wars songs please! May the force be with you
Cantina band
@@MakeMusic88 thumbs up if you're a fan of fransesco parrino too :)
@@Pilotcrew1993 he already has but he called it the force theme
Everytime I listen to this song, piano version or whatever, reminds me a 'good era of Star wars'
I miss my childhood😢
me too! the prequels were my childhood
Im not gonna lie i also love the prequels
I gotta say, this is wonderful. John Williams makes the most beautiful music and you play his music wonderfully. Good job. Also this is one of my absolute favorite songs of John and you play it perfectly.
The most beautiful song from all of the Star Wars films!!
It’s tragic how one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces ever composed is tied to “I don’t like sand.”
What… 😭
yesterday was history
tomorow is a mistery
but today is a gift
thats why we call it present
feels
keep fighting in those times!!
kung fu panda?
Lucia G. yes, student

@@fizas6851 I bought it, while it was avaiable on Musicnotes.
@@samuelnagy9302 🥲
@@samuelnagy9302 It’s not buyable anymore, would you share please?
@@samuelnagy9302nooo I just bought John Williams arrangement and just realised it’s not the same, any chance you could share it?
This is by far the best piano arrangement for this piece I’ve came across, absolutely beautiful. Thank you
Have A nice Day everyone 💜 and Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
Wow...i can't believe you did such incredible and unique arrangement for this piece...i've just noticed you haven't uploaded any piece by Ennio Morricone...i think it would be great to see you arrange some unforgettable old soundtracks from him...thank you ^_^
My goosebumps had goosebumps and I got weirdly emotional during this.
Yet they say it's better to have loved and lost...than to never have loved at all.
great piece, you should also do battle of the heroes from episode 3!
Imagine all the "high ground" memes there would be in the comments lol
Exactly what i posted
@@pryx8532 patrik confirmed it
Yes, if he likes it than that is hopefully an approval
Anakin & Padme is the modern love tragedy of Romeo and Juliet
I actually think that Anakin & Padme is sadder than Romeo and Juliet.
I cry when I see « Revenge of the Sith » but not when I read « Romeo and Juliet »
@@Natearl13 lol
Both Anakin and Romeo are best swordsmen,
Both couples married secretly due to some family affairs and jedi rules.
Juliet wanted to live with Romeo so she acted like she died but that's the main reason for Romeo's dead,
Anakin wanted to protect padme so he joined darkside but that's the main reason for padme's dead.
But in contrary Romeo and Juliet love stopped the hatred and joined both family but Anakin and padme's love almost destroyed the whole galaxy how ironic.
This is my favorite video because the music is so beautiful and the way you play it makes it 100 times better!
I’m glad that people still watch this video, I agree, this is one of my favorite pieces.
Absolute Masterpiece. I probably have watched it like 400 times.
The most beautiful music I have never heard in piano, you are the most strong pianist. Also, I cry 😢🙂
How can anyone dislike this?! Amazing rendition of from Episode 2, prequel music was amongst the best for sure 👍
this piece is beautiful and hints tragedy at the same time, absolutely amazing
I didn't know this theme was called "Across the Stars". This is beautiful btw.
Music like this gives hope in one's darkest moments.
This is what I love about film music. It tells us a story without saying a word.
Phantastische Interpretation, vielen Dank !
Magic
May the force be with you guys!
This guy has 3 parts to the brain: Left, Right and Everything else
I'm obsessed with the feeling of this song 💔😞
this masterpiece arrangement makes me wanna cry... also you inspired me to play piano again after so many years.. I thank you for your music!
btw i already bought this piano sheets, and Anni's ballad sheets. Amazing..
Beautifully done, Patrik. Your rendition gave me goosebumps!
the colors and the music! wow
Great version of this song. This channel is amazing
Say what you want about Attack of the Clones (I love it.), but when Padme and Anakin go out into the Geonosian Arena and Across the Stars starts blaring, its amazing.
This is why I want the piano
Let us all bow our heads and ask the dear lord to continue to bless his fingers with beautiful music, Amen.
This song is pretty deep and emotional, across the stars makes me think of a light traveling into the dark trying to find its purpose
Please do a cover of Lost but won by Hans Zimmer
Thanks for heart :D I cant wait to see you play this :)
Yess
I know it could be nothing less than perfect
Yes
Yes I Love Rush
Say what you will about the franchise. Star wars will forever have the greatest scores in cinema history.
This may be the single best piece John Williams has ever composed. It is one of the many reasons he should be spoken about in the same way as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven
