I love how Across the Stars is romantic, but has sad undertones giving it this sense of impending tragedy. It's both beautiful and foreboding at the same time.
This would probably have to be one of my favourite themes of the whole Star Wars saga. Those things together make such a heart-wrenching combination, and you captured all of that beautifully in this arrangement... I can't wait to learn it.
Anakin is the most heartbreaking character in movies. The way is betrayal is portrayed just breaks my heart so much. I don't know why people think Hayden is a bad actor he did a great job
Most of the actors did an excellent job as their portrayal was what Lucas wanted. Even with the original movies it was long known that he cared more for the special effects to carry the day than an actor's performance. They followed the script and Lucas's direction. I often wish Lucas could have been kept away from the acting side and had a director that pushed for more believable writing (such as showing Sidious's manipulation more) and more depth to why Anakin seemed to be a spoiled child most of the time.

You know what, these comments really bug me. RANT TIME!! Hate if u want, but in my opinion(which I'm certainly entitled to), the prequels were by far the best of the trilogies. No doubt in my mind. I'm relatively new to the Star Wars universe, but even having watched the originals & the sequels, the amount of depth the prequels added is indescribable. I literally am only interested in SW because of them. Yes, Lucas gets a lot of hate for his dialogue, but frankly, like chairman zia said, a 18 year old boy who's basically been isolated for 10 years would be very awkward talking to a girl a couple of years older than him. Furthermore, Anakin kind of was uncomfortable ( it's a bit weird to keep on giving a girl u haven't seen in 10 years verbal and physical signs of attraction like stroking her shoulder even if she may have felt the same way.) Im not saying Lucas intended it that way, but try to understand the POV. I just think that the sarcastic comments about these movies takes away from their patent beauty. I watched the originals first, and saw the redemption of Darth Vader, but after watching the prequels, I think I cried for probably 2 months!!! That's the effect it had on me! I honestly didn't notice all these "imperfections" until I read reddit post, memes, and comments. It's just very difficult to put into words what these movies engender. Wow...i can't believe you did such incredible and unique arrangement for this piece...i've just noticed you haven't uploaded any piece by Ennio Morricone...i think it would be great to see you arrange some unforgettable old soundtracks from him...thank you ^_^
To me, this piece conveys how passionate and kind-hearted Anakin was in everything he did and felt and how genuine while also turbulent that growing love was... it's magical
This is, by far, my favorite piece of music from John Williams. It's beautifully tragic. The way love truly is. Always, we lose our loved ones to deaths sting. Yet they say it's better to have loved and lost...than to never have loved at all.
I really think that you do not get enough credit for how great of a player you are. You are soft or loud when it is desperately needed, but the forte does not screech and it is so comforting to the ears. Love your music.
I’m going to state this outright, every piece of yours I have listened to has been very impressive and I hope this brings you further success that is definitely deserved.
This is a great arrangement. I love to play this song, its such a touching peace. The melody really captivates the love story that could had been perfect. But it never could be. Too many things in the way of their love. 🥲 May The Force Be With Every Being, Now And Always. 🥹🩵🐿️
I have practiced your beautiful arrangement for quite awhile. Your playing is really fabulous especially all the arpeggios. I will never be able to perform them at your tempo. Awesome performance
Imo one of the best and most iconic movie themes ever, up there with Pirates, Indy, Ghostbusters, etc. But if im honest, the Main Star Wars theme can't be topped.
When you learn to play the love theme of your favorite character(s) from Star Wars and your heart just breaks while playing it because it is so sweet and dramatic at the same time and it reminded you of one of the cutest/saddest love stories 💔✨
This may be the single best piece John Williams has ever composed. It is one of the many reasons he should be spoken about in the same way as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven
Interesting analogy. Their relationship indeed was forbidden by both their "families", Anakin's being the Jedi and Padmé's being the Senate. The tragic part is sadder, since it's from Anakin's fall to the dark side, and Padmé's heartbreak at it, as opposed to a joint suicide.
Both Anakin and Romeo are best swordsmen, Both couples married secretly due to some family affairs and jedi rules. Juliet wanted to live with Romeo so she acted like she died but that's the main reason for Romeo's dead, Anakin wanted to protect padme so he joined darkside but that's the main reason for padme's dead. But in contrary Romeo and Juliet love stopped the hatred and joined both family but Anakin and padme's love almost destroyed the whole galaxy how ironic.
Say what you want about Attack of the Clones (I love it.), but when Padme and Anakin go out into the Geonosian Arena and Across the Stars starts blaring, its amazing.
Aww, you cut my favourite part of the original version of this song! There is an awesome melody that John Williams puts into this song that breaks up the repeat of the regular theme, and highlights the conflict in Padme/Anakin's relationship.
I love how Across the Stars is romantic, but has sad undertones giving it this sense of impending tragedy. It's both beautiful and foreboding at the same time.

Padme: next thing I knew, I was pregnant
It's really cool how he accents the melody within intermediate arpeggios so that it's really clear, even though his other fingers are doing just as much work.
I think the arpeggios are in the actual peice
The most beautiful, tragic and heartbreaking love story with a theme by John that captured all those feelings. Wonderful cover, thank you.
How one single person can create this kind of beauty is amazing and inspiring.
That's what I love about music
A beautiful nostalgia-filled arrangement.
Patrik, you've done it again.
1:20 That transition from a few quiet notes to the whole piano coming to life is amazing. The whole thing is of course but that in particular was my faviurite bit.
2:20 beautiful job with playing the melody in the middle voice!! 👏👏👏 nice arranging!
I got goosebumps while listening to this.
The colours are lovely and your hands flow across the keys so lightly and gently that one appreciates the care put into each note.
@Soulful Notes At first I was going to say "Thanks so much, but please don't flatter me into watching your YT videos."
After reviewing some other comments on this video, and realising that you're just copying and pasting this same message (not so heartfelt to my comment then, is it?) I understand that you're here just for the views, not because of my interest in music, or your "lovely" views on my comment.

Monsieur Pietschmann, vos reprises sont tout simplement magnifiques, vous avez, plus qu'un talent, un véritable don. Continuez à nous faire rêver, je vous souhaite réussite et le même bonheur que vos reprises m'apportent.
I rarely cry, but this is one of the few things that made me cry. Thank you, for this breathtaking arrangement.
This is what falling in love sounds like
And losing the one u love

3:36 on shows that all the work is meaningful when you know how to end it.
@Calvin Reich Agreed, except this applies for the whole sequels
May the Force be with you Patrik, Always
Omg. uploaded 1 minute ago. YES. You're the BEST
How can you see the hour when a RUclips video was uploaded?
Greetings from Turkey. You listen to the world of dreams while listening.
So well said, mate.
Türkiye'den selamlar :)
Burada Türkleri görmek güzel 👍
I gotta say, this is wonderful. John Williams makes the most beautiful music and you play his music wonderfully. Good job. Also this is one of my absolute favorite songs of John and you play it perfectly.
This is by far the best piano arrangement for this piece I’ve came across, absolutely beautiful. Thank you
One of my favorite themes from Star Wars and your cover is amazing as always
Me: I'm so going to learn this.
Also me: Girl. Patrik arranged this. You DO NOT have the skills needed.
Every single time.
Thanks though, every time your arrangement is something I didn't know I needed but I did. I love what you do, you have all my support!
Wow...i can't believe you did such incredible and unique arrangement for this piece...i've just noticed you haven't uploaded any piece by Ennio Morricone...i think it would be great to see you arrange some unforgettable old soundtracks from him...thank you ^_^
This is the most relaxing song from star Wars ever
After like half a year, I finally learned it, thank you for everything : )
serious question, how did you get the sheet music?
@@fizas6851 I bought it, while it was avaiable on Musicnotes.

This is my favorite video because the music is so beautiful and the way you play it makes it 100 times better!
I’m glad that people still watch this video, I agree, this is one of my favorite pieces.
To me, this piece conveys how passionate and kind-hearted Anakin was in everything he did and felt and how genuine while also turbulent that growing love was... it's magical
The most beautiful song from all of the Star Wars films!!
More Star Wars please ! :))) Could you play the Cantina Band Theme for example or The Throne Room theme ?
Thumps up if you are a Star Wars fan
Yeah more star wars songs please! May the force be with you
Cantina band
@@MakeMusic88 thumbs up if you're a fan of fransesco parrino too :)

Everytime I listen to this song, piano version or whatever, reminds me a 'good era of Star wars'
I miss my childhood😢
me too! the prequels were my childhood
Im not gonna lie i also love the prequels
This is, by far, my favorite piece of music from John Williams. It's beautifully tragic. The way love truly is. Always, we lose our loved ones to deaths sting. Yet they say it's better to have loved and lost...than to never have loved at all.
OMG this made my heart melt. I am a huge Star Wars fan and I know the force is with you Piano Padawan. May the piano force be with you all.
I really think that you do not get enough credit for how great of a player you are. You are soft or loud when it is desperately needed, but the forte does not screech and it is so comforting to the ears. Love your music.

Beautifully done, Patrik. Your rendition gave me goosebumps!
I sat there like 10 Minutes wondering who would dislike this video. Patrik Pietschman- you gained a new sub.
May The Force Be With Every Being, Now And Always.

Great version of this song. This channel is amazing
Wow. The amount of skill it takes to play this arrangement is insane, most impressive!
It’s tragic how one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces ever composed is tied to “I don’t like sand.”
What… 😭
I didn't know this theme was called "Across the Stars". This is beautiful btw.
I have practiced your beautiful arrangement for quite awhile. Your playing is really fabulous especially all the arpeggios. I will never be able to perform them at your tempo. Awesome performance
this piece is beautiful and hints tragedy at the same time, absolutely amazing
The most beautiful music I have never heard in piano, you are the most strong pianist. Also, I cry 😢🙂
this masterpiece arrangement makes me wanna cry... also you inspired me to play piano again after so many years.. I thank you for your music!
btw i already bought this piano sheets, and Anni's ballad sheets. Amazing..
Have A nice Day everyone 💜 and Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
How can anyone dislike this?! Amazing rendition of from Episode 2, prequel music was amongst the best for sure 👍
My goosebumps had goosebumps and I got weirdly emotional during this.
I’ve played this song on the piano for years, but this is BY FAR the best arrangement for piano I’ve ever heard of this song.
Fantastic ! I think this one of the best pieces by John Williams. Very sleek piano version.
Imo one of the best and most iconic movie themes ever, up there with Pirates, Indy, Ghostbusters, etc. But if im honest, the Main Star Wars theme can't be topped.
One of my favourite pieces from your channel, beautifully played. Keep up the inspiring work!
A Masterpiece.
You simply nailed it.
Without this song I can't sleep that night I'm too much addict to this music.
Anakin & Padme is the modern love tragedy of Romeo and Juliet
I actually think that Anakin & Padme is sadder than Romeo and Juliet.
I cry when I see « Revenge of the Sith » but not when I read « Romeo and Juliet »
@@Natearl13 lol
Both Anakin and Romeo are best swordsmen,
Both couples married secretly due to some family affairs and jedi rules.
Juliet wanted to live with Romeo so she acted like she died but that's the main reason for Romeo's dead,
Anakin wanted to protect padme so he joined darkside but that's the main reason for padme's dead.
Absolute Masterpiece. I probably have watched it like 400 times.
I'm pretty numb emotionally, listening to Star Wars music is somehow the only thing that makes me feel a bit.
Your covers are beautiful, man
