That clip of KG slapping Duncan is everywhere, but here's the footage with the original commentary and some aftermath. Also including Will Perdue fouling KG and getting into a little skirmish with Tom Hammonds. This game was crazy.
Got the infamous KG vs Peeler fight on my channel now too: ruclips.net/video/fJaPToxO-GY/видео.html
Oh yeah I remember that game Peeler chin checked him like they were in the octagon and you can see KG had to make a life changing decision he didn't want it. He knew that was one he needed to leave alone.
An undersized two-guard just piecing up that loudmouth Garnett 😂😂😂😂
Yeah he picked the right one 🤣 KG fake tough guy
Class and Dignity? Garnett is a fake tough guy
These comments are so dumb it was a playoff game.. the elbow didn't even really move him.. but yeah that was a weak move by Sacramento coaching staff.. Peeler lost vs Garnett lost.. yeah not even trade duh
Garnett...the greatest "I'm so tough but will never fight guy" in the history of the NBA.
Ulysses432 Dennis was a master at getting in people's heads though.
Ulysses432 makes no sense
He was smart. How many suspensions did he take? Exactly.
Garnett is scared.
It worked tho so I don’t understand ya point he was feared wheather u like it or not
KG always been a “hold me back hold me back” type dude
Big mouth guy with even bigger coward inside
He's too skinny for confrontation
😅😭😭
No lie detected
Yup try to play all tough
and then the spurs won the 1999 nba championship.
*
@sixpack1385 then whoever won that year is asterisk too right? Spurs over proved your naysayers for 5 championships later. So y'all can sit down somewhere
David Robinson would have beaten the shit out of that whole Timberwolves team by himself. KG didnt want none.
KG tried to cheap shot the admiral...we all know how the Peeler altercation went, imagine what David would have done to big mouth.
Idk latrell sprewell was over there
@@sethcollins748 he was on Knicks at the time and no thats 7 foot 2 over 250 pounds of muscle with military training and Tim Duncan right behind him
@@rattlehead54321 I think I saw him in the video pretty sure he was on wolves in 99 Knicks after. And Duncan was a skinny a baby then. But yes d Robinson a goat for sure
@@sethcollins748 no he was on the Knicks in 1999, took them to the finals that year. He didn't join the Timberwolves until 03.
Garnett pushing Duncan’s head for literally no apparent reason. Such class.
He was just embarrassed cuz he tried to boss up on Robinson and got flicked like a flea
He slapped it cause it didn’t listen and move him out the way
Garnett has a history of punking Duncan throughout their careers 🤣😂🤣👆🏾. I liked the time when they were face-to-face and Garnett spit all on that man grille and Duncan ain't do jack sh!t but look pnssy as always 😂😂😂 !!
@@VaughnMcGregor That wasn’t and still isn’t Tim’s personality.
@@allengreene9954 As a man first, defending yourself from emasculation and public humiliation should be in EVERY man's personality.
KG: *wants the smoke*
David Robinson: sit down civilian *pushes KG*
KG: *fuck that I guess I'll hit someone else*
Lmaooo
Lmao
😂
"Robinsons pretty buff, I'll hit Duncan instead"
What I was going to say lol.
KG tough as hell....
when the other guy isn’t looking
David Robinson played for the Navy and is over 7'0..... Garnett and Smith don't want those problems.
South Carolina’s Joe Smith isn’t impressed
@@mattm3729 how many rings did joe smith win???
@ᔕ O ᒪO ᗰ O ᑎ E You could easily say how many championships did jordan win without pippen? Or Kobe without Shaq and Gasol.. Every team needs at least 2 great players to win championships consistently.. Or at the very least a very solid team at every position and one star.
Smith would kill him
@@GabaMart9598 he wouldnt use his rings to do it.
I don't think I'd want to fight against David Robinson's biceps.
Nobody would. The Admiral is untouchable.
@Observer even Eddie Hall would be put to sleep if he got an elbow in the face
@@professorx4270 Okay Den 😐 Ain’t Nobody Unbeatable
@@kalibscott1787 of course
@0bserver Karl Malone’s elbows should be registered as Lethal Weapons.
The Admiral just Shoved KG out of the way with EASE and WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT HIM😮😮😮😮😮😮😮He’s a VERY STRONG MAN💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Lol seen that also kg was like emm lemme try my luck with timmy!
@@williambuckman8359 Tim looks “soft” but he would probably destroy somebody in a fight. Plus he had a masters I think in psychology.
@@allengreene9954 imma Spurs fan fam I know! But he didn’t try that shit with the admiral
@@williambuckman8359 If the Admiral wasn’t as nice of a guy??? Just imagine.
Y'all stop that ish like David woulda do something, I remember when Karl Malone put that elbow on him and knocked his ass out .... literally, what did he do?........ nothing!
LOL David Robinson pushed KG (6'' 11') like he was nothing
KG the most well known wannabe tough guy in the NBA. Yapping is all he does and folds when a real tough guy steps up to him.
Garnett has been a punk from day one
Overrated in my opinion. People used to compare him to Duncan or mention him in the same sentance, he never was good enough to be compared to Duncan or Robinson.
@@lectricviewer nah, KG is the real deal, and loyal to a fault. If he hadn’t wasted all those yrs of his prime in Minnesota he’d have about 3 or 4 rings by now. He’s still a fake tough guy though. 😆
@etuboldon boldon sure but he should never be mentioned with Robinson and Duncan.
Timmy has been a punk since Camby was better than him in college
@@thecensoredmuscle563Garnett outplayed Duncan head-to-head. So Timmy should never be mentioned with Garnett, Robinson, or Charles Barkley as well.
"You've got to play with more class and dignity than that". KG clearly wasn't listening
Garnett wants to fight only when he knows the other players will keep them separated
FACTZ
That pucnh on Duncan’s head was absolutely uncalled for
Fr Timmy took it like a champ too
😂 It was funny though lol.
Malik Sealy ......R.I.P...
Bill Walton’s comment on the Garnett slap Lool
David would knock KG out just by flexing with them raging biceps💪🏾
Bro its funny as hell 4:19 he throws him off like a little boy, I woulda loved to see Robinson lose his cool and throw some bombs I bet he would knock some dudes out.
@Ulysses432 I respect David's Navy credential and all, but he was never a fighter.
@Brendan Cronin It's Patrick Ewing who's 240Lbs. David Robinson's 236Lbs cut to shreds. You got the wrong flattop center brother from the Original Dream Team on the weight part.
Arson Hakobyan bro DR did college for the Navy. They teach self defence there, such as takedowns and submission techniques.
@@bikrambal791 He knows those combative techniques mentally, but they're not in his heart. I think they have to be in your heart to be able to apply them on the street in anything less than fight-or-flight scenario. Don't get me wrong, The Admiral could beat up most people just based on his freakish reach, strength & athleticism, but another big (as in at least 6 1/2 ft), strong, physical, athletic dude w/ a descent amount of fighting skills, who's got some fight in him, would absolutely beat up David Robinson on the street, if Robinson is just fighting for something like 'dignity' or foolish pride, but not for his life.
Great footage here. The Timberwolves were on the ropes (one game away from elimination) so I think they just wanted to make sure they went down swinging. Looking at the box score, it was kind of a gross game all around; neither team shot 40 percent and Kevin Garnett (6-20), David Robinson (5-13), and Tim Duncan (5-15) all had to grind for what they got, apparently (I have no recollection of this contest aside from the scraps).
Thanks man! Big fan of your channel. Full game is here ruclips.net/video/VyvqnnvcxJA/видео.html and i'll update the description
@@amattchronism awesome link.
Did the Bulls win the championship or the Spurs?
@@younglove3362 Spurs beat the Knicks for the championship in 1999.
KG: Let's go!
David Robinson: Ok, let's go!
KG: Huh?
It hurts sometimes how much I miss this NBA dominant era of superstars clashing, high tension rivalry games with a bunch of trash talk, shoulder checks and elbows!
Horrible basketball you mean?
@@I2slicik Oh you must love the soft style of play today?😂
yep. players now are all friends and play like it. i miss the old NBA.
Man the Admiral is so jacked up. I don’t want no smoke with him
I just wanna say that Minnesota was lucky the Admiral didn't lose his calm like throughout his career. The Navy training,he would have made short work of their entire team.
Shubham Lele " You don't see David Robinson this angry very often😮😮😮😮😮" Just imagine if the Admiral wasn't always a nice guy........
Lol Joe Smith would kill him with one hand
@@GabaMart9598 How???
Look how easily Robinson disregards Garnett at 4:20 😂. Like swatting a 🪰 away.
Its Garret ..
@@fortitude1208Robinson pushed garnett, Garrett is the other guy.
7ft guys have never had to fight in their lives so they're actually goofy af when they try to swing
Knockout Artist #stoppage guys start off as boys and teens and are shorter at that point. You really think mfers go thru they whole lives not fighting and furthermore you think because a person get arm reach they forget how to connect with a body & head.
You must’ve been punched in the head assuming that silly shit lolol
@@krambone lol why did my comment hurt you so bad? Are you a tall goofy mf? Sorry I offended you lurch
Robinson went to Navy so it's pretty safe to say he can swing.
Here's one for you old schoolers. Go back and watch when KG ran from Antonio McDyess.
0:52 He pushed KG away without even looking at him 🤣
The Admiral just pushing Garnett like he was nothin lol.
It's all fun and games until you get the admiral David Robinson mad.
The other day Draymond said that in the 80’s and 90’s it was just “a few players” the ones that played rough and physical. Someone please get Draymond a copy of this video so he gets educated on the matter. LOL, LOL.
Haha, the admiral did a no look shove on Garnett, who was so humiliated he wanted to compensate by slapping Timmy on the head. Too funny.
The admiral would probably destroy the whole Timberwolves team including the bench. They're lucky he was such a gentleman.
Didn't even look at him "This grown folks business...move back out the way."
Yup!
KG Disrespectful as always
David Robinson didn't even feel Garnett on his side. Lol. The guy is a specimen.
Imagine what the Admiral would’ve done to draymond green
RIP Flip Saunders
I would fight anyone that was ever in the nba except David Robinson just look at the man and he was in the navy
You might want to look into Wilt Chamberlain.
Or obviously Kermit Washington.
Another NBA player you would never want to mess with: Calvin Murphy.
@@3243_ muggsy bogues and Earl boykins
Steven Adams too
Present time
Duncan to KG: How many championships do you have?
KG: I'll slap my own head bruh
Admiral would FUCK up smith and kg at the same time...they had no idea how lucky they were that my boy kept his cool...
Exactly!
man 'o man you gotta love the 80's and 90's
RIP Flip and Sealy. Only time we will see the Spurs react this way and get tough. Nice guys finish first sometimes
In today's NBA there would be three games suspensions fines. Back then every team had an enforcer and that's called immediate retaliation for trying to hurt a star player of your team
Garnett was a very good player, however, if he ever got into a fight with any NBA player, he would lose. He doesn't know how to fight and takes cheap shots and runs his mouth all the time. He's a great player, but also a coward and cheap short artist when it comes to do being tough and doing the dirty work.
ANTHONY PEELER ELBOWED HIM IN THE FACE.HE DIDNT DO NOTHING
Saw KG give a sneaky cheap shot to Robinson just before the post-up too
at :57 how did the refs miss the cheap shot punch by Garnett?
adaonetube back of the head sneak attack by dirty KG
KG couldn't even beat Tim Duncan in a fight. He didn't want none of David Robinson
What do you think Garnett was thinking right after he slapped the back of Tim Duncan's head
damn, DRob barely put any effort into that shove on KG and KG nearly landed on his ass. lol KG fake ass though guy
0:52 , ahh good old garnett acting like a 9 year old, david talking to the referee, garnett trying to make something of nothing, then gets offended when david pushes him off, garnett even hit tim duncan, i tell yah, garnett may have been a professional athlete , but that doesnt mean at this point that he was a mature man, cause thats pathetic to watch someone act like that.
Man the current NBA is softer Charmin. A Technical foul that’s it!
I remember Smith number 1 pick out of Maryland but was a wash up....played for over 15 different teams. David Robinson 2 time champion.
This is just like what Memphis tried to do to the Warriors this year. And the result was exactly the same. The team that kept crying about the physicality of the game, and kept taking cheap shots in "retaliation", ended up losing the series.
Respect to the admiral for keeping his composure and not murdering these punks.
In the end..the Spurs won and then went on to win their first CHAMPIONSHIP!
He knew it was a bad idea to mess with robinson so he slaped dunkan LOL
So kg is too scared to respond to a robinson elbow so he sucker slaps duncan??lmaoooo
Flip Saunders was a member of the University of Minnesota basketball team that rioted at the end of a game with Ohio State in the early 70s. The Minnesota players actually stomped on a couple of Ohio State players, badly hurting Luke Witte. Bill Musselman was the coach, a mean bastard, and Saunders was one of Musselman's disciples.
Impossible. People from Ohio always win fights
Thanks for that information ℹ️ and RIP 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Coach Flip
Nahhh, KG acting tough but he don't want smoke with the Admiral. Dude was in the Navy, you can't tell me he wouldn't have messed KG up loll
The Tom Hammond thing at the end is the best
KG was a hit a player when his back is turned kind of guy.
Rest In Peace to Malik Sealy, Flip Saunders and Dick Enberg❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
KG running up on The Admiral like he wanted smoke and felt that strength he almost got shoved out the arena lol KG was a great player but always gave me fake tough guy vibes
Nobody gonna thank Jerome for breaking up that brawl R.I.P.
We all know The Admiral can destroy the whole Timberwolves
My Spurs destroyed the sorry T-Wolves 3-1 in that series anyway. Lol!
Lifelong T’wolves fan and in particular KG fan, but slapping someone like Tim Duncan in such a disrespectful and cowardly way makes my stomach queasy, not gonna lie
Tim Duncan:
"Hey KD...."
"Nice Try..."
🤣😂
Annnnd then the big scandal that sent Smith and McCale out of the orginization..
Spurs 5 rings
Miss
them
All
I despised KG for doing that to Duncan.
Duncan bested Garnett in every single career category. Much to the life long chagrin of KG.
Yeah Timmy!
Walton sort of brushed on it, but when Robinson came down to the offensive end and took his post position, he flung out his arm or elbow that connected with Smith's neck or jaw, and that was what started the whole thing between him and the Admiral. But then again, we don't know from this clip what was going on between them in the paint during the game prior, and all of this was perhaps just the final straw in a fierce physical game.....
I was thought KG was weak for slapping Duncan
Garnett talks to himself trying convince himself he's bad dude but nope he's just Dwight Howard & Blake Griffin 👀😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was a girl slap kg gave tim. It was so friendly.....
It’s no easy task to get a rise out of Tim Duncan. This is the closest I’ve seen to Duncan walking towards a confrontation.
I think this was the same series where Duncan laughed in KG's face when he tried talking shit. Big fan of your channel btw
2020 and I’m just here seen real basketball 🏀
Admiral would flip their heads
Did David Robinson make KG fight his own teammate. 😂
2 things I'm sure about the NBA, KG has MVP title, KG never fights always acting like...😁
Look how easy it was for David Robinson to push KG, and to know that Karl Malone KNOCKED OUT Robinson with an elbow.
@Mark Grace The only time the Mailman felt bad about being dirty because the Admiral was such a nice guy.
Robinson shoved garnet like a little rag doll lol
Sometimes basketball makes dudes forget it's real life and you gotta respect the next man, even in competition.
TNT spend so much time showing that Shaq and Chuck fight they forget small fights like this actually happened.
Such a punk move hitting someone when their back is turned. That’s so lame.
Like why would you hit Tim Duncan??? 😭😭😭
Duncan owned KG, like owned the man. 33-19 record, advantage Timmy.
Physical play in the NBA, is a part of the game, not anymore, that’s what I liked about it back then, the physicality, like the old NFL with the great hits, got you pumped up, seeing the big men fighting for position, no easy baskets, I miss that .
its good the spurs fought back beacuse people use to think they were soft. You got to hit back when getting hit
Garnet had no respect whasoever, i mean going at the admiral like that while he's been In the league for only a year smh
KG wanted no smoke with Admiral. That slap on Duncan was hilarious tho!
that dustup between Joe Smith and David Robinson was a whole lotta NOTHING ... post play was physical. really, KG got off light cuz he almost escalated matters.
TIM DUNCAN IS THE GREATEST POWER FORWARD OF ALL TIME..KG is nowhere to be found
FACTZ
Damn if David would have been this fired up his whole career he may have stopped Jordans Bulls, he could have bullied the whole league by himself.
Why would you fuck with Robinson he from the Navy. And why fuck with TD, he too quiet. 🤣
Kevin Garnett : "hey look at me ... look at me man! y'all better holding me up"
Best moment in KG's career up to that point. Then he became a champion. Tim of course became a champion 5 times and won mvps. But it doesn't matter, KG got to sit with the cool kids at the rear end of the bus.
Kg is the very defintiton of all bark no bite
I saw this game and replay when David came down to establish position, he initially elbowed Joe who wasn't a dirty player either yet The Admiral was getting frustrated by Joe's D and offense by taking him off the dribble.
Joe Smith shoved him force, so Robinson swung his arm and caught him with the flaying elbow while trying to maintain his position, I don't think Robinson intended that though.
