- Oh no, he didn't! Yes, Scott Lewis even busted Detroit Police officers slacking off on the job. Not just any cops, these guys were the bosses. Where they went when they cut out early made this one really interesting.

Outrageously funny, but hard hitting, these stories in the late 1990's and early 2000's made Scott Lewis a household name in Detroit. They exposed shameful slacking in a city once known for it's hard work ethic and put a stop to a lot of the outrageous behavior by some so-called workers.

Yep... They will almost always get away with it, whereas you do the same thing you will charged right there and then and be thrown in jail until your next court date. At that point, they will find you GUILTY and sentence you to 10 to 20 years in prison for committing PAYROLL FRAUD and here we are COPS doing exactly that night after night and day after day... Remember this is NOT the ONLY POLICE DEPARTMENT in the United States committing FRAUD against the TAX-PAYERS. There are 100s and 1000s of them doing the same thing... lol...And people wonder why Gobermint always complains there is not enough money to go around... lol... All I can say is GOD BLESS AMERICA...:)

This is why City's need to write in better termination policy in union contracts. I use to work for a city and seen how much time is wasted on the daily basis. It is sad but true most time we could get the required city work done by 11 AM but we didn't get off till 4 PM.
These individuals should have been fired and prosecuted for fraud, one count for each time they submitted a false time report, and sent to prison, along with a loss of their pension. Instead the taxpayers will pick up the tab for their regular pay, overtime, and retirement with a full pension. Ripping off the taxpayers and living the good life while hard working regular people work until they drop dead. I bet these crooks laugh about it every day. Remember this when the city claims they need more money and raise taxes.

This is the biggest problem with paying high ranking employees of the law enforcement agencies across the country because giving them a salary rate instead of paying for their services by the hour is the reason for them to be able to make up their own opinion about what hours they have to work and how long they will have to stay at work and they have the ability to make sure that they are on the job (even though they are not even close to being on the job) and they can make their payroll log look like the way they want it to look where nobody will be able to tell the difference wether they were at work or not and our taxes is the money used to pay for their abusive actions against the community that they are supposed to serve and even if they are caught they will hide behind their qualified immunity protection and they will face no consequences whatsoever

We were in a roving surveillance one day on Michigan Ave from Wyoming to W Grand Blvd we passes Senate Coney Island at 10 am with 2 Detroit patrol cars out front! About 11:15 we decided to go in and get an order to to go for our lunch! 4 Detroit cops still sitting there! We later found out 3 calls had come and gone and there they sat! We actually took one call of a guy beating his grandmother out on the lawn! All because she wouldn’t give him money! Detroit PD didn’t show up for 35 minutes! We were pissed!

I knew a guy who worked at USS Steel in Gary, IN who was a third shift cop and had his supervisor at each job sign his timecard for a full 8 hours while he was only there for an hour each day. He retired with 30 years from each job. Great work if you can get it. This was in 1970's.

Sure all my benifits are all paid for. At my rate of pay they should be. Thats why i got a city job. Leave us alone. Scratch my back i scratch yours. Got it. Ive only got 3 months to go. then i will have my 20 in. Dont rock the boat. Then i will be 47. I will make more in retirement than i do now. Plus the taxpayers will float all of my med benifits. No deductibles. I put my 20 in. Then they tell me i can go back and work in another dept if i want. On top of all my retirement benefits. Hey fool. Dont mess with the system. The union treasure is my brother inlaw. Its all who you know. My grandfather my father and both my brothers worked for the city. They all put there 20 in and got out young so they could live life. Only idiot's work 40 years and get no pension. Not us. College? What for. Get a Govt job and ride the gravy train. Now i here they want us to start paying $5.00 copay for Doc appts. Like that will ever happen. Let the poor fools in the real world do that. So far ive got 390 hours of unused sick and vacation time. I cant wait for that check. Everyone does it. Many government agencies may have little/no personal injury protection insurance coverage for passengers. Anybody in official business should be on duty/on the clock,and be covered by Workers Comp. If the passenger girl at 3:00 breaks her arm in a collision , there may be issues.The practice of slacking off is wrong,but may cross line into unlawfulness when official records are faked at 3:48.
