Season 2 really steps things up. There are so many Easter eggs in this episode I want to point out, but I'm afraid they might be considered spoilers. They really don't give anything away, since the writers were hoping people caught them when the show first aired on tv. I love watching people react to LOST. Hope you guys are all good in Hawaii.
Samraq - you are doing such a great job facilitating discussion with the "newbs", but not giving away too much. I'm really looking forward now to all 3 of you experiencing Lost for the first time. It's just going to get better and crazier as we go now... buckle up!
One downside of watching this streaming or on DVD, is that it removes the uncertainty that came with watching the beginning of this episode. I remember it well... the, "wait, this _is_ LOST, right? I didn't accidentally change to the wrong station?" And you just watch, completely puzzled, and... I don't know how to describe the emotion when we saw Locke and Jack at the top of the hatch, and you realize the perspective you were getting. It was like going from one world into another with very little warning.
And now so many speculations begin. And you thought "What is the monster?" and, per Charlie - "Guys, where are we?" were intriguing. You guys are both guessing wildly at the pinata -- and I'm not going to say a word about whether you're hitting anything or not! This is a really, really fun season!
You have a strange way to say "faith". Is it an accent from Hawaii ? 😮 So, the hope that Locke was thinking to find in the hatch is Desmond, a scottish man. Interesting. 😁
It’s odd how convinced Charlie is that “there are no Others!” considering that he killed one of them.
