Everything is a potential drug. That thought hit me hard. Not just substance abuse. I mean - love, sex, money, success, excellence, perfection, hatred, pity, sadness... everything is a potential drug.
"In theaters October".. You'd think that after some 20 years later, they'd give this film a rerelease into theaters..Sad that it will probably never happen.
Deer Heart Yup, just like faith is a drug for religious people. They think that they're actually worshipping one out of 3000 or so religions but in reality they are just addicted to the comfort of having a sky daddy watching over them. But if they were more informed about reality, they would be saving money and not giving it to superstitious idiots. And catholics of all religions are just sick...."No fun, or sex with the opposite gender, unless youre a priest, then they think its ok to have forced relations with CHILDREN. How this religion is one of the biggest ones out there is beyond me... Unless I realize how many dumbass gullible people there are in our world...85% in my opinion.
Anything can be addictive. From Chocolate to Morphine is a wonderful book that explains this topic in depth. There is no such thing as good or bad drugs, only good and relationships with substances.
While watching the movie I started to get lost during the hip hop montage scene I kept making Sarah and Harry’s addictions separated but later in the movie as the montages kept going I got lost in who was who and that’s when I was like it’s not different it’s the same they’re both going through the same thing
Darren the genius of the genre

Even without the film soundtrack this movie is a masterpiece!
This aged so well. Social media is a prime example of how anything can potentially be turned into a drug.
When the song came on, I started having flashbacks. Lol

Darren is awesome as a director
This is brilliant
Thank you Darren, this is the best movie that gave us a big message about what will happen to us if we did the drugs.
What a legend
I didn't think of hope as a drug, good idea to ponder ...................i suppose its used to escape a reality

Hope Sees the Invisible and Achieves the Impossible

Hope without action is addicting and dangerous.
@@yourname5450 I’m religious but not because it comforts me. I would rather be no God and no damnation. It’s much more comforting to be an atheist.
Great film, don't recommend it.

This is Amazing
is this the director? woao
weird that they decided to change the pupils from shrinking to expanding
It should have expanded for Sarah, but pinned in for the heroin addicts.
Is that a laundry machine on his T-Shirt?
yeah, it's a Sonic Youth band tee for their washing machine album
