I used to do them with hand tools and a hammer, which was terrifying. Make sure to get the correct set of dies for your machine and snaps.
Thank you for this, I don’t use these press studs very often, but I always find the instruction sketches very ambiguous and struggle to use the right part of the die! Now I can see clearly what to do, I am about to make a coat and want to use these studs as a fastening and now I will not be so worried about making a mistake and ruining my project. Thank you so much x

My pleasure ☺️ I typically use 12 mm (1/2") snaps. It is a good size for most projects. Yes, dies should come as a complete set of 4. There are other press snaps, so get the correct die set for your hand press and snaps.
