I've lived in Korea (Seoul) for the last 10 yrs. Koreans love Son, but this video overexaggerates his popularity. K-Pop idols are bigger because it seems to involve a larger fanbase. In Korea, not that many people are huge sports fans. Baseball is the clear #1 sport with soccer being 2nd. Koreans are proud of Son, but they don't watch every match of his. They read up on it. Park Ji-sung was a more popular player partly because he played on the 2002 World Cup team that finished 4th and for Man U.

As an Arsenal fan (god we suck, Emery out) I have to say Son is a fantastic player. Best player at Spurs. Would most likely get into any 11. Deserves a bigger club.
