Just want to point out to everyone that whenever it switched to him in Malaysia, nanami never once opened his eyes because of the fact that he never got to experience it. Mappa really rubbed salt in the wound with that one

In a very weird way, I feel like some animators saw Nanami in themselves, and the cursed spirits as the corrupt higher ups forcing them to fight. However, their motivation to continue was for the supporters and the fans (Yuji)
That sounds depressing but it just proves that how good the scene looks is due to their non-stop hard work. They gave it their all and I love it. Props to MAPPA animators... and props to Nanami.
