Hey friends! I realized after posting this that sharing files is more difficult than I thought. Feel free to message me on Instagram (@michellereed) and I will send you a downloadable link to the budget template by tomorrow. I hope this helps!!!
If you use google drive/google docs, you can import the file into google sheets, then change your sharing preferences to "Anyone with the Link can view." Then just post the link in the description or on your insta and everyone can download it from there without you having to manually send it to us! If you have a gmail account, you have access to the google drive through there.
If you use EveryDollar, the app, you don't have to hook up your bank account. It's the best budgeting app for zero-dollar based budgeting! Dave Ramsey approved ;)
A really good video, having a good budgeting plan can help us become financially stable, that's why I use a 50/30/20 budgeting pattern which has helped me save a lot these past few months.
@@annabelwillemse6997 it's 50% on expenses, 30% on investing and 20% on saving. Spending less has really created more room for investing and I have been doing these for the past thirteen months.
once a year i do a no spend month, and by that i mean for a full month i only purchase essentials and pay bills, nothing else. i also stopped buying coffee and food at work and bring my own, then i move $10 into my savings every day that i work. it’s incredible how much it all adds up!
Stop buying things you do NOT need. Example: You do not need 6 pairs of sneakers, 3 expensive watches, $200 dollar sunglasses, etc etc. Splurge reasonably. This tip alone will save you a ton!
When I was broke life in college at 19 I just got out..I would make this meal last five days Just spaghetti with beef and vegetables I bought the cheap stuff Spaghetti x2 $2.00 Two cans/jars of spaghetti sauce (you can buy cheap tomato sauce or the 6.00 jar I choose the around $2 jar of prego) A pound of ground beef or turkey (also varies in price depending on which one you buy) Onion Garlic Mushrooms Green or bell pepper To be honest I take any vegetables I like cut them up and put them all in a saucepan until they are cooked Then I take the pasta sauce add whatever spices to it I like (I love an Italian mix and some balsamic vinegar just a little vinegar though) I cook the meat Separately and drain off the meat juice I literally add all of it together let it cook in the sauce for awhile 15 minutes or an hour the longer the better and then I just make the spaghetti I find I can make this for around $15.00 and I eat lunch or dinner for the whole week with it

Thank you so much for uploading this video. I wish that more people on RUclips would talk about this instead of showing all of their haul videos which makes me want to spend money. Not that haul videos are bad or anything, but it is nice to see somebody putting something different up! Love your videos!
Hi Michelle! In one of your old videos you mentioned how you can have a great or bad college experience wherever you go, because it’s about what you make out of it. That actually saved me a lot of money, because it helped me decide to go to a community college (which is free in my state). I was really afraid of not having the freshman experience, but I ended up really liking it here. I would have been so stressed about finances if I went to my dream school right away. So far my grades and art portfolio have improved since high school, so I’m hoping to get really good scholarships for when I transfer. Thank you so much Michelle for all that you do! You are such an amazing person, and have taught me so many things.
When you said you were a senior in college, I realized that I have been subscribed for more than four years! You are such a thoughtful and kind person!
I'm a sophomore in high school and although I may not need to worry about saving up as much as I would if I was a senior or going into college, I still do want to be aware of what I can do in the future. I really love your videos because they are very helpful in educating me about the little things I need to be prepared for. Stay amazing!
Girl I love this! Saving money is so important and not enough people are talking about it! Saving money gives you control over your life and your happiness. I post about money all the time on my channel because not enough people are talking about it!
the best way i’ve managed to save money (and also helps the envr) is by only buying what i “need”. so instead of just going to the mall to shop, i’ll only go shopping if i know exactly what i’m looking for and for clothes i’ll hit up the thrift stores first!
This was so so helpful!! I'm a senior in highschool and I just finished working out my financial aid for the school I'm going to next year + I know I still have a lot of money I need to save and work to make during college to make my top school possible, but this put a lot of my purchases into perspective!! Great video Michelle!!
I’m one of your OG subscribers been subscribed since 2012. You are still beautiful just like you were 6 years ago. I will continue to watch your videos and wish you nothing but success in life. Crazy how fast time as went by.
Michelle, I’ve been watching your videos since you were starting high school, and its amazing to see how you’ve matured and learned! I love how you’ve crafted your channel and brand toward having a healthy mind, body, and habits. Thank you for being genuine and a great role model! xoxo
Thank you for this video, Michelle!! Money management has been a struggle for the last few years. My monthly income does vary and many people who make these videos don't touch on that. Your advice to make things work on the lowest paycheck is great and something I will definitely use in the future!
As a Buddhist, I completely relate to so much you say. Generosity releases our attachment to money and let’s us remember that the money we make at the end of the day should be given to others who don’t have money. Also super helpful video !!! Financial stability is super important to me to as a young woman. Love u Michelle!
A wedding is just one day. Save your money for the rest of your life. That's a LOT of compound interest and life experiences lost. Some of these weddings are like keeping up with the Jones. I wish I could have convinced my wife of this at the time.
I'm a dependant (hs student) who works and this was super helpful looking towards the future. For other HS students, this is your time to save! I put 60% of my paycheck into savings and WOW does that add up. When you have a refrigerator free and open to you 24/7, make sure you use it. Everytime I eat out somewhere I have to pay, but when I eat at home, it's free. Know where you can save money and start getting a fund ready for future emergencies, investing, or anything else that has future importance.
My absolute dream is to save $10,000! This summer i worked so much doing 8 hour shifts 6 days a week and I was still only able to save $1,000 for college and it’s already gone due to books and rent :( thinking I have to get a second job
Please do more college study and organization related videos, I really enjoy those from you! Also, amazing video once again. Keep doing what you are doing xx
Hi Michelle! I have been using Poshmark for almost 4 years now and I love it as well. But just a tip, you could definitely raise your prices a little bit. I usually just take 50% off of what I paid originally and can get all of my items to sell. Just thought maybe I would share that if that helps :) Also I'm a fashion merchandising major and I could not agree more with what you said about trendy pieces! I love investing my money in timeless pieces that I will wear forever.
I love this so much and really respect you for making tithing a priority. I feel that it's something young Christians don't realize is important and thus don't tithe. Though I didn't have a steady income in college (which was only a few years ago), I still didn't tithe often on what I did make. As a now working adult, it's a priority for me, and I have found that there is joy in that obedience.

My financial goal is to simply get out of debt. It does get more difficult down the road when you have a partner that has their own financial goals and visions. I am more of a “look towards the future” kind of saver, whereas my fiancé has more of a “life is short!” attitude about money and saving. It definitely becomes more difficult to track spending as you grow up.
I took a money management class last semester and my teach gave the best advice! She said that your monthly payments you’re making to pay off the debt are mostly going towards the interest and not as much is going to the principle(at least at first anyway) but if you start paying more than the minimum monthly payment, even if it’s just a dollar, that will help pay off debt even faster! She did say that if you do that though, make sure to tell whoever you’re paying that the extra is going toward the principle. :)
Hi! So I have downloaded and personalized most of the file. However, how do you use it monthly? Should I just make a new copy of it each month? Trying to figure it out
I am at home student teaching for my last semester of college and my school recommends for students not to work during the experience because it is like a full-time job, but we don't get paid. We actually are paying tuition still to student teach. So I need to find a way to make a little income so I don't blow my savings. I have a poshmark but nothing has been selling recently.

OMG , so many silly videos of curling hair like it s something you have to study and find secrets, every hair type is different , when you see something on someone else probably you cannot copy exactly the same look , just do curls to your hair and try different products or not . She is saying so many interesting things , do your curls while you watch this video .

Totally agree! Work/school lunches, quick dinners, or vegetarian meals would be amazing!!!!
yes!!
When I was broke life in college at 19 I just got out..I would make this meal last five days
Just spaghetti with beef and vegetables I bought the cheap stuff
Spaghetti x2 $2.00
Two cans/jars of spaghetti sauce (you can buy cheap tomato sauce or the 6.00 jar I choose the around $2 jar of prego)
A pound of ground beef or turkey (also varies in price depending on which one you buy)
Onion
Garlic
Mushrooms
Green or bell pepper
To be honest I take any vegetables I like cut them up and put them all in a saucepan until they are cooked
Then I take the pasta sauce add whatever spices to it I like (I love an Italian mix and some balsamic vinegar just a little vinegar though)
I cook the meat Separately and drain off the meat juice
I literally add all of it together let it cook in the sauce for awhile 15 minutes or an hour the longer the better and then I just make the spaghetti
I find I can make this for around $15.00 and I eat lunch or dinner for the whole week with it
I'm starting the 52 week challenge where I save 5 dollars a week. I'm cooking at home now and only taking me and my daughter out once a month.

OMG , so many silly videos of curling hair like it s something you have to study and find secrets, every hair type is different , when you see something on someone else probably you cannot copy exactly the same look , just do curls to your hair and try different products or not . She is saying so many interesting things , do your curls while you watch this video .
