Dare I say it, this is one of, if not, THE best Mortal Kombat game to date!
A deep, technical fighter, Mortal Kombat X has completely blown me away. This is a FANTASTIC Mortal Kombat game. It's so much more refined than it's predecessor 'Mortal Kombat 9', I feel almost everything has been improved.
The core new distinguishing feature of Mortal Kombat X, is that every character now has three unique 'Variations' to choose from. And each variation comes with it's own unique moves and combos! This in effect, makes mirror matches totally different!

I think it's awesome that you found this one to be tremendous after hearing you had changed your mind about MK9. Seems like the new ones are hooking you in, that's cool for an old-school MK guy.
MKX's graphics are just beautiful to look at. Also this is Jax's best game model ever, it looks damn near exactly like the original actor who played him in the classic games. Hell, they probably scanned his face.

Great video, but good lord! That fatality that Corrupted Shinnok did where he impales him onto the spike. That is the very first time I saw that, and after seeing that.. That was VERY painful to watch.. XD Shoving Erron Black nads first right into a spike..? Ugh.. D: I literally felt that, man!

Hey MrGSTAR321, I've only been watching your videos for 3 months but you are without a doubt my favorite RUclipsr. I hope that you continue to make mortal Kombat videos.
From what I heard, Street Fighter 5 is giving players the option to either unlock stuff in the traditional sense or simply pay for it. Which is a really nice touch honestly.
So glad that there is a Mortal Kombat fan who doesn't complain about Jason and Predator. I reckon they are good additions to the game and they fit in well with the blood and gore
The story was eh but half of the characters were POSSESED which makes the story almost crap

It's a good point you made when you were talking about Deception unlocking characters in gameplay. That's what made it fun also online wasn't as big of a thing back then. What they should have done in my opinion is having MK characters being unlocked in the Krypt and paying for only the guests characters have them be DLC. It would have made more sense to me but like you said it's about the money theses days unfortunately.
I was kind of sad when Mortal Kombat Conquest the series stopped. I did feel like though I was the only person out of my friends group that watched the show. It was quite low profile.

The takeda you are thinking about is the creator of the shirai ryu clan. The takeda in MKX was a member of shirai ryu and his father is kenshi.
This is exactly why I always wait for the "Ultimate Edition" or whatever they end up calling them... sure, I have to wait a year to play the game, but I get it for the same price as launch day... WITH THE DLC INCLUDED!
I still miss earning the unlocks, though. That was half the fun of playing the klassic MK games!

as they both help each other with some special moves
But you could actually play as both Noob and Smoke in MKC. Ferra is basically cosmetics

Kotal Kahn is not associated with Shao Kahn, as said before, "Kahn" is just a title that means emperor. Kotal Kahn is the new emperor of Outworld.

The DLC swindle thing sucks. It's just no way to treat your customers. It's kind of graceless. The game itself is pretty cool though.
I don't agree that MKX is "probably the best". To me it's one of the worst MK main games. This game's style didn't feel like it's Mortal Kombat anymore, and a lot of oldschool players will tell you that. It's on par with MKDA, which too to me felt like a completely different game (even Deception felt more MK). The select screen looks nothing like MK, the story SUCKS, it doesn't explain half of the new kombatants in the game, it just puts them in the action just like that, the style of 3 variations sucks to me, I'd rather have few more characters than this, new arenas don't seem to fit for me, even the new characters are MEH (except for Kotal, he is awesome), there are some more problems, like too many things that seem more like it's a DC game not MK. Although graphics are good. But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion :) but to me:
MK9 > MK2 > MK3 = MK4 > MK1 > MKA > MKD > MKX > MKDA >>>>>>>> MKvsDCU

Tbf, Tanya in story mode is just Kitana but with no fans, no x-ray and no fatalities.

Honestly, MK9 had a better story mode and roster. A character like Ferra/Torr has a cool design but simply isn't functional. The permanent pet peeve I have for the game is that (spoiler alert) Kitana has a Jade Variation when (SPOILER ALERT) both of them are dead. How can you mourn over someone who is just as dead as you are? If the roster accurately reflected the story mode then Jax, Kitana, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao would not be in it. But other than that MKX has better gameplay and graphics. Online feels robust and I'm glad with how it turned out.

+MrGSTAR321 Good to know! Also, about some of the new characters: Kotal Kahn is the new emperor of Outworld, replacing Shao Kahn, and Ferra/Torr is a symbiote consisting of a male brute and female dwarf. Ferra/Torr reminds me of Noob-Smoke from MK: Deception.
I've known Mortal Kombat almost my whole life but I only started to get really into it recently. Alot of you videos are Mortal Kombat based which I think is awesome as it is a fun way to learn about Mortal Kombat History. I could just simply look up Mortal Kombat History but its much more entertaining watching you play these *Klassic* games :)

Pingu It could have been better but i think it is unfair to say that it was bad.I do agree some new characters didn't click as much in the story mode but some characters were pretty good.Lets hope MK 11 is better especially with the rumored Jade's storyline.
Even though I enjoyed the story in MK9 more, I have to agree that the fighting mechanics and organization in this game is superb. They really set the bar high, I hope they can recreate that supremacy with MK11.

Fun fact, Tremor was actually playable in MK9's challenge tower for the ps vita. He had a classic ninja outfit. Also, to learn about new characters, play the 4 hour story mode.
