I didn't know what Hunter x Hunter was about until now, so I had just assumed it was a gay romance between two boys named Hunter, and now that I'm learning it's not my disappointment is impossible to express.

I ran into a retired professor at work after I graduated. He was my advisor for music education so I was incredibly embarrassed to not be in a teaching job at the time but it turned out that he had been supporting the nonprofit I work for for years. It was a surprisingly wholesome reunion and he even asked for a selfie so he could post about my success after school on his Facebook lol
I had just graduated high school, got a job as a cashier at a local supermarket and the amount of high school faculty who came through my line with heavy amounts of alcohol was INSANE

most of the teachers in my school were addicts and/or on the verge of a breakdown and/or completely shut down on autopilot... while I had a terrible time in school and was affected by the poor standard of teaching, I still felt really sorry for them, they were clearly overworked and underpaid... the system is broken :(

I actually saw an article about this, as I also have this issue, and they were saying it's because fanfic is significantly lower energy to consume since you already know the characters and since a lot of self proclaimed bookworms have mental health stuff going on mental energy can be harder to come by at some point

I love that I heard the justice gun bit, immediately said to myself, "long gun of the law(like long-arm-of-the-law, but a gun)" and thought "thats stupid." And then got to listen to Julia clearly have the exact same thought but struggle and fail to get the words out.
A lot of VTubers have started having gamer hands made specifically so that you can see their hands on a controller when they play games. One of my favorite VTubers to watch, Juniper Actias, even has her hands rigged to respond to button prompts so that the controller responds realistically.

@@Chickenman161 I can't say for certain, but I think it's just another program besides the game capturing the controller inputs and displaying them as movements on the model's controller.
@@Chickenman161 speedrunners use programs that display button presses in real time with colored highlights, I assume instead of that you could use specific animations

There was an early pokemon episode about fossils (first appearance of aerodactyl). Gary finds a spiral and asks the scientist what it is, acting all smug. He gets taken down a peg when the paleontologist reveals it's fossilized pokemon manure.
So yes, pokemon canonically poop. At least, the ancient ones did. Modern ones likely still do.
I would love to see a village in Kingdom Hearts that is just populated with all random characters from the strange live action movies Disney produced in the 60s and 70s that no one has ever heard of. Some examples are: The Absent Minded Professor (1961), The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1969), Million Dollar Duck (1971), Candle Shoe (1978), and That Darn Cat! (1965).

Oh yeah. Hate seeing people from school outside of school. Got a great story of how the middle school principal showed up at my sister's funeral to make sure one of my other sister wasn't lying about missing school because one of our sisters died of cancer. Really awkward. It was extra weird when two days later she ran into my mother and another different sister at the store and explained that she was just doing what was best for the previously mentioned sister by making sure she wasn't skipping school, and the signed note from our mother could've been forged. Goodness, people in education sure are real characters.
It's more insane that they probably did this because their experienced someone in the past that lied about it
I remember I was really sick in middle school and yeah, it was the last few days before school break. And the person at the desk thought I was faking... While I was throwing up and laying down on the couch.

It was certainly not what I wanted out of a date, but it wasn't terribly awkward either. Turned out the reason that he stopped teaching our class was indeed that he got too close to her but they weren't a couple or anything.

My random teacher story:
There's a supermarket we always go to, it's really nothing special. That one time though I noticed someone standing on the balcony right over the market entrance and reflexively looked up.
And there he was, my teacher, standing there looking down at me, wearing nothing but his underwear...
We exchanged greetings and I proceeded with the shopping and now this image is involuntarily burned into my mind.
Julia missing the point of why Gon doesn’t want to learn about his mom. He doesn’t care about about his real mom because he just considers his aunt his real mom, not because he idolized his shitty dad. I think it’s a pretty cool moment where he shows great respect for his aunt.

I'd love to see them do a video/ stream where they turn different animals into dinosaurs/ prehistoric animals. I know a lot of animals will already have prehistoric versions to rely on (i.e. tigers - sabretooth tiger, elephants - mammoths, etc), so I'm hoping it would encourage them to either come up w/ a unique take on them (i.e. pterodactyl-snake), or choose animals you wouldn't expect lol.
Drawfee has directly impacted my life twice in the past day:

I get why Julia doesn't like Gon from HunterxHunter but from my understanding Gon doesn't want to know who his biological mom is because to him his aunt is already his mom. Its kinda of a dumb reason not to know who your mom is but atleast Gon isn't that selfish.
Gon's also more than a little deranged. Maybe my favorite kid protagonist from any series, but he's an unhinged lil' guy to be sure.

On running into teachers in real-life: I used to work at a grocery store not in the same town as my high school. I had two teachers of mine come through my store. One was my creative writing teacher who I didn't like much, so nothing to report, but the OTHER... was my choir teacher... and he was buying beer. Something so innocent and nothing to write home, but sophmore-junior in high school me thought it was the most scandalous shit ever.

When Julia said she hated Gon my mouth dropped because Hunter X Hunter is my favorite anime. Obviously everyone entitled to own opinions. Bit then Jacob said that she never meet the blind girl and the second half of the Chimera Ant arc I kinda understood her reaction. The Chimera ant arc is def. my favorite arc of the whole show. It made me happy, angry, cry and tell myself holly shit that episode was wild. Plus the intro and outro are so good 👍. Btw slight spoiler up ahead

the ghost stories dub... story is not entirely true actually! while some lines were improvised by the voice actors, the majority was actually scripted. the true part is that the dub studio was told that they could do whatever they want for the episodes (with a few stipulations, names that certain names had to stay the same and the general plot of the episode needed to be the same, which usually just amounted to the method used to defeat the ghost of the episode being the same)

Awkward teacher story: I was hit on by a former professor on a dating website. I just answered back, "Dr. Bustamante?" And he never replied again.
On the positive side it was grad school so we were both adults when we first met, and he no longer worked at the university when it happened, but still!

^ - while Chip and Dale are Gummi Ship... engineers(?), this could be an alternate timeline, or a flashback world like they did for "Steamboat Willie" and the Musketeers cartoon.
* - yes, I know Scrooge & the Boys are shopkeeps in the games, but like with the example above, it could be an alternate timeline or a flashback world. While the more recent series is definitely better, I'd be happy with one based off either.

Vod paused for now, don't know if they will have a worst teacher in public story, but I have one: One of my past Portuguese teacher (I'm brazilian) is a health nut, she does "mountain" biking, trails and all that, so, naturally (?) she sometimes works on the public health system, redirecting patients and all that. So the 1 time I decided to look for treatment with a psychologist, specifically for depression (it was a front for something else, or just me being bored I don't know), she was working. So I went in her office, gave her the sheet with my directions, we had a little bit of small talk, when the chat died out, she looked at the sheet, we stood there in silence for almost a minute (explaining things would make a mess, so I didn't try), she told me were to go, I said thanks. And I don't think we ever spoke again after that, but it was just burning awkwardness
Watching too much Drawfee is when they say "I'm gonna make Luigi Monster Hunter" and you're not sure if it's gonna be a hunter, a dino or a weapon.
