    This is one of the last things my late grandfather gave. He gave it to me to fix it since it wasn't working. And I was motivated to see if I could make it work and I stumbled upon your video

    I got the af-1 mini infinity. Same lens as MJU. Weather sealed, AA batteries, tiny form. Absolutely awesome. Great autofocus and exposure.

    Ah, back in school on 2018 moved towns and found 2 of these for 3€ each. No brainer, both worked well, used them at the same time for Colour and B&W and ended trading one for a flash that I haven't been using at all. I regret the latter a bit but still have one unit but I also thrifted an Olympus AF10 which might even have the same lens design, and that I haven't ever shot. No (cheap) color film stock left so maybe not a huge loss.
    For a while my jam was to load up with some 400 ISO B&W and then nicely print those on 18x24cm RC paper in the darkroom! Medium format is then for more thoughtful shots.

    Great camera, the MJU II has a couple of extra tricks and can also be shot with a remote, the lens may be a little better too. I have 3 like this and 2 MJU II as well as a few of the zoom models. All good. I think this one is the most fun to carry and shoot though.

    Hello!
    Probably nobody is going to see the comment, but as a first filmcamera now, would you recommend this or the Kodak H35? Can’t decide if a new or old is better choice and which one is better quality! - would thank a lot for an answer:)
    Liked the video a lot!

      The Kodak H35 is a toy compared to the Mju. If you find a Mju in good condition, I would always recommend it.

    Hey, maybe you can help me. I took plenty of photos with the camera in New York, and some turned out to be very sharp, while others were the complete opposite. The lightning and even the setting were the same in some of them. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you :)
    Edit: im always using the focus (LED) to be green before i shoot (and always shoot without flash).

    You raise a good point, the best camera is the one you have on you all or most the time. My heavy 120 cameras I have with me barely any of the time because they are a struggle to carry.

    I'm new to film. I just bought the mju and recently found out (kind of) what metering is. I've heard that generally having the flash on is better with this camera. Do you agree and what's your approach to the specific flash settings on this camera?

    • @Lostin35mm
      @Lostin35mm  Год назад

      If there's light, i shoot with flash off. There's a look that you get with flash on, and sometimes I want that so I shoot with the flash in auto mode. But I would say that 90% of my pictures I take with the flash off. You can even shoot in dusk/darker places if you just have steady hands.

    Hi! Do you shot at auto iso with the DX or did you make any kind of DX hacking?

    Apparently, coz its quite an old camera, it doesn't date past the 90s. So its just like, stuck there! lol
