The S-class used to be my favorite car until I drove the '07 model. It was supposed to be the standard of excellence in big luxury sedans. I decided to drive a '08 bmw 750li and it was surprisingly much better. Nevertheless, I had to buy it. I appreciated the features and most importantly the handling of the big car. I have been a bmw guy all my life but the S-class always reigned supreme until i really had to go in there and test drive both myself. BMW is the clear winner here among all the other big luxury sedans (Lexus LS, Audi A8L, Benz S-class, etc)
Really? I would have to choose the A8. The Lexus is just a big barge that cant handle. BMW's are terrible. Nothing, but problems, especially the 7-series

@justinaadu2 I dont know where you live, but here in the NYC area where we have bumps in the roads that car rides like shit. It really does. I have driven that car plenty of times and was surprised myself.
You can't compare the s550 to this car. The 750 is a 4.8 liter, whereas the s550 has a 5.5 liter. You would be better off comparing it to the s450, with it's 4.7 liter engine. And the last time I checked, 4.7 is closer to 4.8, than it is to 5.5.

in i-Drive, change the damper control from comfort to stiffer BMW Sport Mode suspension.

I could not afford the 07-13 generation s class, i bought an 08 750Li instead for under 30k.
