Booms and air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem early Sunday after Iran launched dozens of drones and ballistic missiles toward Israel in an unprecedented revenge mission that pushed the Middle East ever closer to a regionwide war.
The attack marked the first time Iran has launched a direct military assault on Israel, despite decades of enmity dating back to the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution. Condemnation was swift, with France saying that “Iran has crossed a new threshold with regard to its destabilizing activities and is risking a potential military escalation.” Britain called the attacks “reckless.”

@@jonedgar5996 That was clearly a hypersonic missile. There is NO defense against those. If they have one, there are more, most likely supplied by Russia. And yes, it was looped, but there are 2 in that video, not 1.
@@squonk375they weren’t hypersonic. They were certainly sub supersonic; it’s just that the Iranians developed missiles that sort of juke up and down in order to confuse the iron dome missiles. And, somehow, once the Iranian missiles sensed that the iron dome missiles were thrown off, the Iranian missiles accelerated and hit their targets. Not all of them were these types of missiles because they needed some the other missiles and drones to distract the iron dome while a few of these special missiles would zoom past everything after they accelerated. If you look at other videos, you’ll see these missiles moving at the same speed and then suddenly these special ones would accelerate away from the crowd

looked like Iran was trying the waters. Why attack from high altitude make it easy for the Iron Dome? Drones can fly very low and make it impossible for the ID. One interceptor ID missile is around 100k - 150K Hamas has fired thousands of rockets question is how many they have left and how much will it cost to keep ID going. Iran has ICBM that can't be itercepted by ID and decided not to use them.
Ballistic missiles are way more faster than Conventional rocket systems and drones. Ballistic missile systems travel in hypersonic and subsonic speeds and then iron dome is overwhelmed by conventional rockin some drones ballistic missiles will get through a very good tactic so you can see here.
