Heatless Flexi Rods + Night/Morning Routine

- Here is my heatless flexi rod routine on wet curls using mousse and twisting butter! I used 16 rods total and left them in overnight to let my hair air dry. I also wanted to share my night routine and how I refresh my curls in the morning to help this style last for as long as possible (a week in my case). Please let me know if you try this out and if this routine works for you!
Additional tips and FAQ’s:

Pre-section your hair to pace yourself and evenly distribute the rollers
I did 4 sections each with 4 rollers. 4x4 = 16
Doing this routine on blow dried hair will stretch the curls out longer
Using skinnier flexi rods will give you tighter curls
Avoid applying thick creams to your roots so you don’t weigh the style down
Leave the rollers in for at least 4 hours for best results
Don’t pick and fluff it out too much the first day
Sleep with your bangs in a flexi rod for perfect hair every morning
Experiment with different sizes!

My girlfriend's mother passed away this past year and I brush / style her hair sometimes now for that bit of comfort she misses. She has been talking about wanting to do this with her hair, and this was a great resource for me to learn and surprise her! I have these rods. I’ve haven’t used them probably since my 21st birthday and turning 30 this year. I think I haven’t done them because they were so uncomfortable to sleep with, BUT I have a fancy blow dryer now that I can use to dry the hair quickly.👌🏽😼✨
Have you tried just wrapping your hair around cloth
@@yazzy1979 I think I might’ve tried it, but it’s been a long time so I can’t remember. What makes it uncomfortable for me is the weight of my head pressing on something while sleeping. I’m tender headed so anything pressing against my scalp for hours will cause my head to hurt a lot. Like even putting on hair clips, as soon as I get back home I’m slowly removing them right away because my head feels SO sore. I just ordered a scalp massager last night to see if it helps ease tension.😄
I agree. Having locs and doing knots hurts but just wrapping in in old shirt cloth maybe 2 inches from your head might work. Your hair is beautiful as well. You could do a video on your channel 😍
@@yazzy1979 Thank you! I couldn’t even imagine having locs. That would hurt my head so much. Just the weight of them.🙈 I used to have to wear military buns while in the air force and the bun alone felt like a brick on the back of my head.🤣 I got the Dyson hair dryer for Christmas so it’s been amazing and quick to dry my hair. Thought about making videos again it’s just the whole process is A LOT. People don’t understand how long it takes to set up, film, edit, etcetera. You have to be truly passionate about it and since I’m not because it’s not my life’s calling, I stopped.🙊🙈🤣
