I am a subscriber to Yellow Eleanor. She was one of the first mushroom Vlogs I subscribed to! Since I live in La Conner Washington, I am a big fan and subscriber of Mushroom Wonderland! Another great video, dude!
SUPER COOL. I love Yellow Elanore. And cool to see some other luminaries of the fungal world. Loved seeing Y E in teaching mode, what a treat, and man that joy of mushroom learning and the lovely folks sharing it, simply the best.
So heartwarming capturing that woman’s reaction to finding her first chanterelle. I’ve cried a time or two or three with excitement from finding certain mushrooms. I wish her many more mushroom adventures!
8:34 There’s nothing like the feeling of when you find your very first target species mushroom… when my Wife and I found Chanterelles for the first time last year, we were overcome with joy, wonder, stoke, excitement and tremendous gratitude! It’s so rejuvenating and inspires the deep gratitude and appreciation for the beautiful, natural Mushroom Wonderland all around us! Good for you Sherry! I felt those feelings all over again seeing your rapture of finding your first Chanterelle!!! That really hit me beautifully!!! 😭🥲🥹 Mush-Love ❤️🔥
Mushroom forays are so fun! Everyone is always smiling, happy and the enthusiasm is infectious! Found hens and shaggy manes in NW Pa. Thank you Aaron for your giddiness ✌️
Great to meet you today at the club meeting Aaron. Yellow Ellanor was my first RUclips videos I watched about mushrooming. She’s great and you’re great. Makes me so happy to see you both together. Another great video buddy!
me too. i've read his books and don't feel like going back to a university but really want to learn practical skills to transform my hobby into a career.
Fungi fortified episode!! Yellow Eleanor was also one of the first sources where I started learning. Just ordered my first serious mushroom identification & cultivation guide today- the copy second hand but "like new", of course, author Peter McCoy... 😏
i have found so much cool stuff in the seattle area the past four days. thanks for keeping me going through last year's horrible mushroom season. i found my first porcini this week. literally spotted it from the bus and walked back just to see it up close. the slugs beat me to it but i was soooo happy. i feel a little less nerdy knowing i'm not the only one that feels like a kid again when i find a species i've never seen in person before :)
So we have another shrume video person here in the Great Pacific Northwest, so cool. Just looked up her channel and subscribed. Looking forward to checking out her vids. Great video, have a great day. 🍄💧🍄💧🍄🍻
Can we talk about how my mind was blown when I saw Peter using a vegetable peeler to clean the mushroom off? That literally never crossed my mind to use that
Great video! Got a question.. do you understand the effects of fires near chanterelles grounds. I say near because my best producing chanterelle spot was about 8 miles from the bolt creek fire. There is absolutely no fruiting this year. I was thinking maybe it had to do with the Co2 levels within the trees. Any thoughts?
You mentioned people who just want to photograph mushrooms. Well, that's what I like to do. Maybe you could make a video showing unusual (and photogenic) mushrooms and feature some photographers who specialize in mushrooms.
Mycologos is amazing!!! 🎉
Beautifully done video.
Experts! Good people to guide through known mushies PNW spots.
Sherry, who found her first chanterelle, is adorable. That was a great video. Gave me all the good feels. I love Yellow Elanor!
My favorite 2 mushroomers in one video!?😱🤗🤓 this is so exciting!!
OMG! You AND Rachel?? This is one video to keep! ❤

Just got back from foraging! Perfect timing I’ll watch this while cleaning my catch.
Great to see you guys together. Super idea. Fun fun.
i cant wait until i get my first microscope and can start finally truly identifying the mushrooms i find!

Peter McCoy is truly awesome to listen to! You can tell he loves what he does. I'll definitely be checking out his school!
me too. i've read his books and don't feel like going back to a university but really want to learn practical skills to transform my hobby into a career.
I gave this video a thumbs up before I even watched it because I knew it would be awesome!
Once again... I wish I could be with you all. Someday I'll run into you all.
And yes your right... Picking uphill is So much easier to find mushrooms.
Both of your channels got me hooked on wild mushrooms. So awesome to have you both on the same show. Keep em comin Aaron!
I love both y’all’s channels. Awesome to see you both together on a video! Can’t wait to see more from Yellow Eleanor!
Digging the channel, thanks brother!
Yellow Elanor good on you SPED teacher. ❤
Right on! I did a double take when I saw the notification.

Can’t wait ❤️🔥
The mushroom mom is back 👏👏
Wonderful video
Okay, that Sherrie energy made me so happy ❤❤❤
Awesome
Wondered what happened to Yellow Elanor

Are there anything like this happening in Oregon I would love to meet up with people and hunt and learn more about mushrooms

I saw only one matsutake in the pile ! I was going to try this weekend. Is it still too early for them?
I couldn't believe he mentioned hypholoma capnoides?!!! I never would say to try that mushroom. I may cook it then see if I like it😮😮😮
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Y’all start doing collabs
There at the end when he said "Everyone says this is the best edible that nobody eats" tell me thats a Sarcodon!? Cuz theyre great
Wait! What was the "best edible that nobody eats"?! I wish he said what the mushroom was (at least I can't tell from the dark video what it might be)
Scutiger species. 🍄
Question for you:
Isn’t it awkward to go mushroom picking in a large group?😊
Nah.. This is an educational foray. Their was no secrecy or expectation to find a bunch of good edibles.
Squatting to see is great... bring a couple 4 and 5 year old's and they will spot more then you.
Morels are really over rated. Thanks Peter!! They don't compare to a porcini, Chanterelle, Hedgehog or black trumpets.
Morels aren't over-rated, the other ones are just under-rated
This is so cringey to watch. I think that’s y I stopped… maybe it’s just me
My favorite mushroom in northcentral pa is the hen of the woods. Second is the oyster mushrooms!
