Dia dhuit Sióbhán! Love your channel and your accent and of course you're an excellent teacher! You pronounce Irish as my granny did,I wanna say that like her you can pronounce the sound "kh" very clearly and correctly,I can also pronounce this sound correctly, but unfortunately many can't and end up saying "k". Thanks to you my Irish has improved ! Is breá liom Gaelige ! Go raibh maith agat agus slán go fóill!
Thank you Siobhan....so easy to understand your videos. Wish I had you as a teacher. I'll keep watching your videos and try to get to grips with pronunciation of this amazing language. Karen .
I really want to learn Irish, but I don't know if I can pronounce the words and I am shy. I just found this channel and it seems like a very neat way to start learning this beautiful language. Also, I love the way you speak and you are very beautiful.

Similar to welsh, the the right is 'i'r dde' - dde being mutated from de. Confusingly, the word for south in welsh is also 'de' You are right is 'ti'n gywir' - gywir a mutation of cywir. ALthough cywir is more the equivalent of 'correct', while 'iawn' in usually used for being right.
Ecce Crucem Domini Figure parted adversae Vicit Leo de tribu Jada, Radix David! Alleluia! Behold, the cross of Jesus Christ. Begone all evil powers! The lion of the tribe of Judah, The Root of David, has conquered! Alleluia, Alleluia

Tá in Portuguese is Tá. I've been trying to remember a similar expression for ages... All I remember it starts with Tá.
Similar to welsh, the the right is 'i'r dde' - dde being mutated from de. Confusingly, the word for south in welsh is also 'de'

Siobhán tá an ceart agat 😇.
A bit off-topic, sorry. Would you be able to translate "my golden-haired girl" to Gaelic?
I'll take a look, thanks for the tip!@@BitesizeIrish
Mo cailín fionn (pronounced: muh koll-een fyunn)
@@veraa.b.6650 Hi! I am Irish but I don't speak it well, I think it could be "a chailín cinn-óir!"
It´s similar to Latin - certe= for sure.
Right is Ceart in Gaelic Irish
Rogate ergo Dominum messis ut mittat operarios in messem suam
Ask the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into the harvest
Ecce Crucem Domini
Figure parted adversae
Vicit Leo de tribu Jada,
Radix David! Alleluia!
Behold, the cross of Jesus Christ.
Begone all evil powers!
The lion of the tribe of Judah,
The Root of David, has conquered!
Alleluia, Alleluia
Go h-iontach ar fad
Does not compute.
Rían Ó Máille What you don't understand it?
