This Elder is truly illuminated. Fr. Theodore really helped me feel a unique warmth within Orthodoxy that sometimes is less emphasized and can give a sense of just great heaviness in the spiritual life. I thank Christ that I just found this channel and Fr. Theodore a true luminary.

The Bible says that we only recive the Holy Spirit when we are born again, as Jesus says in John chapter 3. Jesus is our Savior, we need to belive in Him only to be saved, Ephisians 2,8-9. Read Gods Word and do as it says, if you love the Lord, John 14,23-24. He actually IS Gods Word, revelation 19,13 ,John 1,1 1.John 1,1 .

I'm not sure I understand. How do you find God within you? Should I be looking for God within me? Every Orthodox church gives me great peace and grace. I don't feel this great peace and love away from church even though I pray often and read the Bible often. I pray for the people around me.
Are you a baptised Orthodox Christian? Make your home like the Church, then make your body like the Church by prayer and living the life of the Church (prayer, fasting communion, obedience to a spiritual father, etc. Keep seeking and the Lord will open the door to you.
Orthodox Christians believe in seeking God's presence within themselves through practices like the prayer of the heart and watchfulness, aiming to cultivate a deep inner connection with God. This inward focus involves guarding the senses and nurturing the heart through prayer and spiritual disciplines to align one's will with God's.
