That’s some thick grass And good dirt you got there Goon. Like a carpet! I laughed when you used the bucket and cleaned up your grass from the dirt. 🤣. That music and out shot was like an oasis. So relaxing.
Great video man. I use a pool water gun to extract the free standing water. Keep the videos coming brotha! Would like to see your yearly fert regiment.
I love my MP rotators! Although none of them are trenched in properly lol. I just used hoses. They are excellent heads though. Thanks for sharing this info!
Nice to see you've got a thin trenching shovel. They also make a thin hand trowel. If you had dug out a little bit more of the soil the water would have dropped below the fitting without any chance of contaminants entering the system and you could have save the time in not having to flush the system. Just put the head on Boom turn it on make final adjustment to the ark and you're out of there. Pretty good job though compared with some of the people I see showing sprinkler repair of this sort. I've been repairing sprinklers for over 40 years.
Awesome video for sure! I know it's been a couple years since you premiered this video... Any suggestions, tips or tricks when replacing the grass/sod back into the ground? Mine is close to cement sidewalk and I seen a lot of loose gravel rocks just below my sod... My guess is the gravel came from when they installed the concrete sidewalk? I can tell you it was overkill as there is lot. Should I put some type of dirt fertilizer and maybe some clean topsoil down before I put my old cut out sod back down?
I specialize in irrigation only and I gotta say this guys paid buy the hour and loving it. Poor homeowners. Without cutscenes, this should of been done just as clean in 10 minutes. Why would u need a level of your going for grade next to the concrete? I would hope you can see what the elevations like. Doesn’t take much to see the change and adjust. 🤦🏼♂️
You did a great job replacing the sprinkler head. The only thing I would say is DON'T use the pliers to rotate the head. Sharp metal tools will scratch and gouge the plastic and the wiper seal will leak. Better to grasp with hand and rotate it.
Are all sprinklers removed by twisting it out? Are they never glued? I tried to twist mine loose but it seems stuck….i need to add a riser to it bc it was underground this year when I un-winterized it
What do I do if I have replaced mine and it still has trouble popping up and my gardner says it is because of my water pressure.. what I know it is not.. because it worked for 10+ years until now.. maybe a leak? how can I find out if i do have one..
Thanks! However, there's way to much wasted time on completely obvious stuff. Yes. We know how to dig a hole! There's about 42 seconds of useful information; the rest is "fluff". We are too busy repairing our sprinklers to sit and watch your artistic composition. Sorry.
It would be a lot better if you would explain things. One example is flushing the line. You show it, but don't explain how it's done and what to use to do it. There are much better tutorials that actually explain how sprinklers are set up and how to install and troubleshoot the heads.
Great camera angles and tip. Yard is looking good. West coast is starting warm up for us finally!
Thank you! I’ll be transitioning my ryegrass to Bermuda in late May depending on the weather. It’ll be one of my contents on tap.
Solid Job man. I enjoyed thevideo and I like reparing like this too.😇
Great looking lawn. Very nice video. Btw, can u share details on the blue shovel. Need one for myself.

Great video, Jerry Baker is smiling from heaven... you have the greenest lawn in AZ!
Thank you sir! “Only on my side of the fence” lol.
Don’t see that style of sprinkler much in my region. There is something oddly satisfying about watching that spray pattern, almost mesmerizing 👀
Quality repair, albeit a typical one. What did you differently that you learned from ?
Nice clean job! I did my first irrigation repair last fall. It’s really pretty damn easy.
I still see a lot of the local landscape guys out here goof them up.
niceAZlawn oh I’m sure, it would be easy to hit something you shouldn’t.
@@Szdday thats called a gooff ball 😂🎉🎉
Great job on this one. One day I’ll have an irrigation system! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you sir! Having a sprinkler out in the desert helps out a lot! I try to irrigate responsibility as well.
Great video man. I use a pool water gun to extract the free standing water. Keep the videos coming brotha! Would like to see your yearly fert regiment.
Great idea 💡 Thanks for watching buddy!

Thanks! Those MP ROTATORS were a great purchase. I’ve eliminated a lot of my hot spots after getting them.
Nice video and beautiful lawn!
Thanks buddy! I’m still learning how to do this RUclipss stuff lol!
niceAZlawn
Me too! 😜
Haha YESSS!!! Thanks for the shout brutha. Awesome video, Soil looks awesome under that gorgeous patch of turf🤝
Thanks for watching buddy. I look forward to going back to school when your next video come out!

Thanks Bill! Since the video was shot, I learned to do that. I try to improve my technique all the time and share my experiences.
Awesome video for sure!

OMG!!! Those roots!!!
It would have been nice to see what you did with the riser. The camera was too low.

Great edit! The videos are coming along nicely! 👏😎👌
Thanks Ben! You should have a lot of great content being at the new place. I can’t wait to see your videos.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills
Nice one francis 👍🏼
Great job man... yard looks amazing!
Thanks buddy! My work in the lawn never stops. I try to make time to enjoy all I’ve done to it.
This video was legit man 🙌👍 love it
Thanks brother!

Man, that's some good looking dirt. That shovel sliced in so easily. My Alabama red clay will get there. Patience... :)
It didn’t start off like this, but I’ve had 10 years of working and improving the soil.
What do I do if I have replaced mine and it still has trouble popping up and my gardner says it is because of my water pressure.. what I know it is not.. because it worked for 10+ years until now.. maybe a leak? how can I find out if i do have one..
Thanks : )
Yassssss! What type of shovel is that you used. Great video
+phillips4 Energy It’s a 3” trench digging shovel. You can get it at any irrigation supply store.
Awesome soil!
It sure has improved over the years! Thanks for watching!
Great job! Can’t even tell you made a repair. What heads are those?
I use Hunter pop spray heads and MP Rotators.
Yep that soil looks awsome, thats clay right?
Clay silt.
niceAZlawn We got mostly sand here, maybe 5% clay if that.
Looks like it could have been replaced without even digging a hole or even a couple inches at most depending on what was going on
What is the reason my MP Hunters won’t rotate?
Do those sprinklers have any regulator inside them?
I don’t with these. You can use them if your water pressure is too high and you are seeing fogging. You want to see large water droplets.
wish we had real dirt like that in houston. it's all rust , clay and sand. nothing grows here but weed.
I guess no rocks or roots in your soil……
Sub#59 👊🏼😎
They don’t call it nice Az lawn for nothing, when you coming to my house and transform my backyard.
I’m still on the quest for a showcase lawn. As long as you got some Dr Pepper and some food, I’ll be there!
Flush dirt out BEFORE you install a new sprinkler head
Can’t see what you’re doing, lots of it is off camera.
Thanks! However, there's way to much wasted time on completely obvious stuff. Yes. We know how to dig a hole! There's about 42 seconds of useful information; the rest is "fluff". We are too busy repairing our sprinklers to sit and watch your artistic composition. Sorry.
Some are newbie’s, so they’ll find it useful.
Half of this video is him digging a hole!
this is so cringey to watch u ohull out big hunk's of dirt when u should simply peel the sod back
such waste of water

There’s so much u dont explain :/
Two and a half minutes of crap music
