- SR West Country Class loco 34046 Braunton was the motive power from Preston over Shap to Carlisle and round the Cumbrian Coast back to Carnforth a for todays Lakelander railtour which originated out of Nottingham, we see 34046 with twelve on and 47828 on the rear at Scout Green in hot and hazy conditions, for the second to last shot the tripod was strapped to the palisade fence by an underpass on the legal side so was prone to vibration, thanks to Steve for the lift and crack this morning and thanks for watching.
Excellent filming of 'Braunton' Nige. Great sight and sounds. Cheers - Allan. 🙂
Thanks Allan, she certainly put in a good display considering how hot it was, cheers nige 👍
It's really an incredible train spotting video !! Greetings from India.
Many thanks Rupak, glad you enjoyed watching, cheers 👍
Nige, Wonderful captures from different angles. Regards, John
Thanks John, with it being so hot thought some lineside shots might be better not expecting any real clag which turned out different, regards nige 👍
Good clag despite the heat. Good spot to catch her.👍
Thanks David, thought some close up shots would be better with it being so hot, the clag wasn’t expected, cheers 👍
Brilliant nige lovely video's nice to have the crack with Steve
Thanks Graham, a great performance and display from the loco, cheers 👍
Spot on Nige , decent exhaust considering how hot it was 👍🎥
Thanks Steve, certainly not expecting as good as we got, cheers 👍
Great sequences Nigel. I particularly liked the 2nd right under the wires . You followed this with the trip to Arnside so a good long day out in the spring sunshine 🌞
Thanks Keith, only down side with that shot is the vibration though the palisade fencing which is very close to the ballast and right by a culvert, certainly a hot day for trekking, cheers 👍
Good captures Nige and not bad clag considering the warm day
Thanks Austin, certainly much better than what we were expecting, cheers 👍
