- This song by "The Band" was released in 1968 and was on their album "Music From Big Pink" Am sure most people out there will know that this song was also in the film "Easy Rider" (1969) and what a fantastic film that was, which i have watched many times over the years.. Classic from the movie, there were a lot of good tracks on the movie, which I have to say I have bought a few times. Also got the sound track on in all formats. Great to hear it again. Stay safe.

Really nice one Carl. One of my fave bands. All Canadian but for one. Levon Helm is from the USA. I've got the movie of their break up called "The Last Waltz" directed by Martin Scorsese 1976. They were called "The Hawks" before becoming Dylan's backup band in the mid sixties. They met at the "Hard Rock Cafe" in Toronto. The rest is history. I recently did a one take audio of this song. May upload one day. There's a great world wide collab on RUclips of this one with Robbie Robinson. Ringo Star is the drummer. Great share friend. I agree great movie 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍Lloyd :)
Have never seen the film "The Last Waltz" but would love to see it.. I have always liked this song from the very first time i heard, and it's just sort of stuck around in my head like some songs do..
