very informative video, been looking to try out some pneumatics myself recently and its good to see someone in the UK using them.

7:17 I am not sure that linkage for that bucket is correct.. It seems to be a rather complicated way of doing an extended lever, rather than a 4 bar linkage.
Unless I am just not looking at it correct ?

Brilliant video. Spot on for someone who hasn't used pneumatics before.

Do you have a video on how much pressure a cylinder will exert on an object based on a cylinder size and input pressure?
I'm trying to understand I'm designing a something like a paper press but I'd like to know how much pressure will it give so I can choose the right cylinder
    Thank you!

I would also know this, like can I control the pressure in some way. Maybe set a maximum pressure and when reached it will stop and hold that pressure. I'm building a roll laminating table 👍

i have very heavy duty air cylinder. i think it is 40cm stroke and i want to use it for 4x4 snow plow "turning" cylinder. what kind of valve do i need for it. and is there some kind of protection, if plow hits the stump so it can handle the shock from side to side? i really liked that 3 position 5 way valve with joystic. can i use that? Thanks!

Good morning, thanks for the comment.
3 position string to centre would work. Also with it being compressed air, it means the cylinder is “back drive-able” to some extent (some cushioning is present at 10 bar for example)
