Rifle Range Target Build - Pipe Range Vehicle! - Welding, Fabrication
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.2 года назад
In this video, I come up with a solution for a rifle pipe range at Steve Smiths Shooting Ground. The pipe range at Steve Smiths extends out to 100yrds, but the difficulty comes when wanting to shoot smaller calibers at shorter distances. This solutions involves a wheeled trolley which is pulled into the pipe, holding the target at the desired distance. Components such as unistrut channel and mi...

7:17 I am not sure that linkage for that bucket is correct.. It seems to be a rather complicated way of doing an extended lever, rather than a 4 bar linkage. Unless I am just not looking at it correct ?

Unistrut and Superstrut are great but here in Texas the price has tripled in the last couple of years and hasn't gone down. I used to use it like you are for lots of things but it's just too expensive nowadays.

Do you have a video on how much pressure a cylinder will exert on an object based on a cylinder size and input pressure? I'm trying to understand I'm designing a something like a paper press but I'd like to know how much pressure will it give so I can choose the right cylinder Thank you!

    • @DwIzEr

I would also know this, like can I control the pressure in some way. Maybe set a maximum pressure and when reached it will stop and hold that pressure. I'm building a roll laminating table 👍

I recently bought a 3 x 4 imperial 16mm hole Sigmund. What’s interesting is that measuring the diameter of the spigots on the bottom of 5/8” and 16mm rated fixtures shows that they’re the same. My 5/8” BuildPro fixtures are the same as the 16mm fixtures from Sigmund. So when buying any fixturing devices for these tables, don’t worry if they say 5/8” or 16mm. They’re fine either way. Just buy the ones you like best.

Are you sure the base top doesn't rotate? That's the reason for the two holes, punch in one, retical the other. Line it up, rotate the base top (there's an indent) and strike the punch.

you need some more mass behind the seat in case he grabs to much. i would put some wheel barrow wheels full of water. that way you can move it about pretty easy. and some old tubes with zip ties might be enough to keep fingers from poking the wrong bits. great idea.
