The teams chose who to go on the poles, deciding to put your strongest player on the pole seems like it would be the smartest thing to do but the brains had other ideas.

A man and woman trying to get Cliff off was never going to work. Cliff was just an overly powerful advantage in this challenge.
i so get it and think it seems to be unfair...but aren’t all of the challenges requiring a particular strength or feature? like being agile, larger, or very fast, or great balance. and often people who have these features use it to their advantage. i feel this sort of scenario has played out a lot of times.

That was hilarious. The moment I saw the matchups for the second and third round, it was clear who was going to win. There was no way they were going to beat Cliff, and Cliff knew it. How many challenges do you see someone literally laughing at the futile attempts of the other tribe?
I found it really unfair that they matched LJ and Jefra to get Alexis off. I mean this was a really unfair challenge because some of the guys here are a lot stronger than some girls and made it easy to win. I didn't really like this challenge.....

This was one of the most unfair challenges in Survivor history. It was like asking one tribe to try and remove a bear from around a pole and losing if they failed. One of the most one-sided face-offs ever.
It’s possible it was intended to be that way, but at this swap, there were 6/9 men and 8/9 women left. New Aparri only had two men, so they had to play with mixed gender.
I have a feeling there were some stalemates in this challenge that didn't make it to air, that might explain some of the weird player choices and the fact that Woo and Kass weren't seen participating.
This challenge would've been more fair and fun to watch if it wasn't for Cliff, but it was hilarious seeing Alexis get owned and Cliff being unbeatable. I'm surprised Spencer didn't end up shouting chess commands like "Cliff to B6" lol
When Spencer and Jeremiah tried to get Cliff off the pole, I died laughing. Like, he's much bigger than both of them. I would've just given up. 😂On a more serious note, RIP Cliff. You were one of my favorite Survivor players. 🕊

I actually enjoyed this challenge. LOVED seeing people struggling to hang on a pole for dear life while 2 others stripped them off, dragging their restless bodies across the sand and a chance of dislocating or breaking a bone. Great.
