FUCKING TRUTH jesus fucking christ diversion of attention for zoanthropes is legit the fastest way to nuke them down especially if you have a heavy, tactical, or sniper. Or it could be the utter fucking worst when one or 2/3 of those classes just splits and leaves you high and dry and then boom could have 2 medkits and full armor and boom gone and then those same teammates proceed to poach your executes when you are hanging on threads of hp and no armor
@@alastor8091 yeah, but he is right tho, alot of players will be like 'nah, fuck that, you deal with that thing' and then just run of to kill non agro'd enemies and cause hordes to rush. if you are a melee class and you really don't have a way to help (so no kraks, no ammo) then sure but even then i'd wait for the damn thing to come down a bit and smack away when i know i'm not gonna be 100-0'd by its next attack, but running away as ranged classes, especially snipers (yes, it happens) is so stupid and is basically telling on how the remainder of the run is gonna go, not good.
@blackg8r20 exactly im not talking about at the door situations im talking like just exiting the cathedral to be greeted by zoeys and ya know ya think everyone will lock in since it's way too soon to be dry on ammo and I turn around when i realized i see no other shots fired but my own and they are making for the two drop off points and they are both dead or dying from pulling more hordes
I acutally prefer when my teammates just let me handle the zoanthropes since if they start shooting, then the shield swaps, and then i have to go find the other one. I use sniper cqc build and for me its pretty easy to deal with them when they get close since i can just keep hiding when they target me and i can just stand under/behind them and blast them with my smg
Zoeys have gotten much more manageable. Now when I run into them on my assault, even solo, I can stay alive and kill them w/o running out of ammo. However I think they should be toned down a little more. The shield should have a 30sec cooldown, the beam should knock you prone but only tickle the hp bar, and the tracking on the balls needs tuned down. They went from frustrating bordering on impossible (if you lack ammo) to being tough but manageable, which is imho still too tough for what they are. Also - I think that the blue/red attack markers are only on heavy attacks that stagger you. I have no proof for this, only anecdotal experience.
I have no problem with the zoanthrope and his boyfriend but having those two goofballs spawing in when i have no ammunition is really unfun, wish they had one move that pulled them closer to the ground just like the neurothrope has so that atleast i can do something other than running for ammo boxes
I've also had one here recently where a Carnifex spawns with two Zoanthropes and nobody has health or ammo, by themselves pretty manageable but together and in certain areas you don't have any maneuverability in makes it a bit of a nightmare
The way i have found to handle Zoanthropes is to just have 2 Krak grenades on me at all times. Either that or get directly underneath them. Being underneath them makes dodging its attacks ALOT easier.
What they gotta fix is the new disc enemies, their hit boxes are so janky. I’ve lunged away from their orange attacks and despite making no contact with them they still hit me and chunk half my health. It’d also be nice if there were some sort of stun lock break, sometimes you get smacked by 5 different enemies all at once and get jammed in a corner. Although that one could just be me makin a bad move sometimes.
They need to make it so when one gets shielded it lands similar to the boss version of the zoanthrope making it vulnerable to melee. For one it eleminates them both attacking at the same time (especially with the fucking beams) and for 2 allows combat to flow better having your melee focused classes and your ranged classes able to work in cohesion to take out the 2 zoanthropes faster rather than just shoot one until it shields then shoot the other one
yeah, wish when doing offline the bots would just copy your colour patterns and emblems, and maybe had some variation in armor as opposed to being the same no helmet basic armor all the time, doesnt even seem too hard to implement
With any bosses it is important to eliminate all smaller enemies first or not to aggro them (which everyone likes doing). Zoanthropes are trivial, if all other enemies are dead and if there is a cover. If you are in the open area, then dodging must be well-timed. And if there is a sniper in the team, other teammates should always create openings for the sniper to shoot (sniper also trivializes zoanthropes)
At this point i'd say the thropes are not a problem but rather players are either unprepared or simply not experienced enough to play higher diffs. While playing i usually stock up on kraks when im expecting to deal with extremis, and to no one's surprise i can easily take down both of them in less than 10s, but some other times i tag kraks for teammates only to see them blindly tossing their kraks at a horde of fodders like they dont have tiny explosive radius
DOOOD THIS! i play every class and i try to not hoaver loot but i refuse to let randoms touch my krak at this point. Idc if kraks are a bit better for our melee bois im taking them the second i see them and honestly ive have almost 0 thrope issues s8mce release. Okay the quad lazer they were doing was mega nonsense but again kraks i normally available by the time they spawn.
I only really have “issues” with zoanthropes with bulwark and assault class who don’t have decent ranged ammo economy. If you ever run out of ammo (with any class but it’s easier in those two) they become a right pain in the ass because what can you do? Just run around scrounging for ammo :(
@@thaoremchan9234 Actually no... for the most part, the game does in fact not give you enough ammo since random spawned mini bosses like zoanthropes always happens somewhere in-between ammo refills, and you don't get enough ammo from crates to justify the usage on higher levels either.
I’ve been fighting mostly Chaos recently with the new operation so I can’t say, the one time I did fight one tho I definitely noticed the shielded one attacking less often
Been in the double beam attack before the recent patch it wasn't great both thropes doubled down (two beams) on the attack. There was no getting away. Since the patch they haven't seemed as bad.
They have bugged these things again. Sometimes their balls can just teleport in your face even if they were meters away from you. This is the single most bugged enemy in the entire game.
I think one of the solution is make them land for melee to reach otherwise all melee classes suffered when encounter these flying potatoes in higher diffculties nothing but to rely on your teammates or ai
I always found zoanthropes to be really easy for me to deal with on my cqc sniper and heavy bolter heavy. It's REALLY easy with heavy bolter. I can just stand right in front of them while they spam green balls and even if i don't have iron halo up, my strategic stand perk and heavy bolter i can just heal all my contested health faster than they can damage me.
@ bro yes I play modded for nightmare mode and I used to suck getting my astartes cheeks clapped left and right, but I simply learned the attack patterns and now I’m making big E proud
They are much better now, they were complete insanity before. But now as long as you have some good ranged dps like neo volkite, theyvarent that bad. The beams were the biggest issue, changing direction when it touched the ground, it would probably a bug too. Yikes
I felt like the spawn rate is up. Cuz why am I fighting 2 lictors and 2 zoarnthropes? Or it’ll be a Lictor Ravener and Zoarnthrope. Or better yet a massive swarm with a Ravener and 2 zoanthropes
I do not like the Zos as much as anyone else but i will say that i hate when team cant focus on one of them then take out the other in turn, just blast the unshielded and we good but that may jusy be me , but i tank tf outta stuff with my iron halo so while its hitting my sheild unload on it , but mayb just me
Honestly their just not fun to fight. You can’t use melee and their bullet sponges if you don’t have the right equipment. I wouldn’t mind them doing high damage, if they where a glass cannon and no shield. God bless y’all
They have too much hp and shield each other way too frequently I hate zoanthropes especially because they fly and you can’t hit them with anything but ranged weapons unless they fall
I main bulwark. No more issue with Zyons. Between the dodge tweak and the shielded one attacking very slowly I can take them consistently. All I'm seeing is someone who screwed up and is whining about it.
What do you do if you had massive enemy wave after wave and you use up most of your ammo… and they spawn in an area with no ammo crate? When you run out of ammo what then?
It’s the stun lock. Look at their first death, it’s the stun lock, the mechanic is garbage and doesn’t belong in a game like this. I’d they removed stun lock so many of the problems will be gone.
the first clip is prime example for importance of environmental awareness
All my homies hate zoanthropes
Anyone who posts this comment should get witch hunted
my homies homies also hate them too
I can't say that I like zoanthropes, but my biggest issue with them is teammates trying to run from them, instead of helping to kill them.

getting hit by 5 different enemies back to back is your fault not the game.

Someone ask them to let us customize our offline squad of bots it would make photo mode 100x better
yeah, wish when doing offline the bots would just copy your colour patterns and emblems, and maybe had some variation in armor as opposed to being the same no helmet basic armor all the time, doesnt even seem too hard to implement

Literally make them whatever armor you have on that class like tactical would wear whatever you have on him in your armory etc

I agree, for sure a lot of players try to power through everything without really changing anything up for higher diffs

kraks are the best grenade, unless a hormagaunt decides to sacrifice itself and jump up to take the krak
I only really have “issues” with zoanthropes with bulwark and assault class who don’t have decent ranged ammo economy.
If you ever run out of ammo (with any class but it’s easier in those two) they become a right pain in the ass because what can you do? Just run around scrounging for ammo :(
I mean letting your ammo run out is your's fault no? The game gave you enough tools to deal with them. If you run out of resources then it is on you.
@@thaoremchan9234 Actually no... for the most part, the game does in fact not give you enough ammo since random spawned mini bosses like zoanthropes always happens somewhere in-between ammo refills, and you don't get enough ammo from crates to justify the usage on higher levels either.
Zoanthropes are def a pain your team doesn’t focus them down immediately.
Dodging into a container wall and then standing there eating Zoanthrope attacks... The emperor must have deployed his 'special' marines today! Hahaha
I’ve been fighting mostly Chaos recently with the new operation so I can’t say, the one time I did fight one tho I definitely noticed the shielded one attacking less often
Got a clip on Reddit with a Zoey pair and a Neuro at the same time on substantial Inferno at the end of the mission

When are they going to nerf the chaos terminator's heat seeking missiles, they spam that attack like I owed them money.
5:40 why Zoan fires 4 set of bolts??
i was playing today had a pair of zoanthropes three beam attacks in a row went from 1 armour segment and full hp to dead
I think the last patch gave a placebo nerf to the zonethropes.
They're not a problem. The bulwark that has no ammo and the assault that has no ammo and both take 5 min to kill one minoris. That's the problem.
I don't remember them to attacking both at the same time before. 🤔
I dunno why Vanguard grapple hook works on new flying Tzaangor but not on Zoan?? Saber wanted us to suffer from Zoan tyranny
It's much easier to dodge the beam now.
At least I don't think the beam is the most annoying part about zoans at this point.
Yea honestly theyre the only enemies in the game who I think actively make it less fun to play

Melta and self heal save the day
Psychic scream still stunlocks you into a double tap, and you better pray they aren't both using it at the same time. Then you're legit fucked.
@@TheCandidPygmy That's Neurothropes
I play alot of Sniper these are quick kills no issues even pre patching.
I honestly never thought they were broken, I just thought I sucked. lol

Still getting 3 or more Zoanthrope spawns on rutheless.

I am still getting spammed by those pos.
Short answer. Yes
They are basically flying armored turret bomb. And bullet sponge is always been a bad game design
