@@thisis4ever1 samesies mate, but people who play this gospel/ jazzy /neo soul type of thing usually use way too much because they think it flatters the playing. It's nice to actually hear the guitar and have some space and not just a wall of ambient mush
I’m an old guy and in my youth I saw a lot of Mustangs. Popular guitar at the time. I had a beat-up pawn shop Mustang for a while, I should’ve kept it.
The tone you've gotten from that guitar is amazing! You're dynamic control is genuinely amazing too, sounds like you could make any instrument sound fantastic!
That's crazy, your video just showed up. My first electric guitar was a 1965 Fender Mustang and I just bought a new American Performer Mustang about 3 weeks ago. I play a lot of styles including jazz. The Mustang is still my favorite electric guitar after all these years.
@@thisis4ever1 Naw, I'm almost 72 so back then they didn't cost very much. It was a student guitar. My parents and grandparents bought it for me. for my birthday with a Blackface Fender Vibro Champ.. There were no distortion pedals yet as Gibson hadn't come out with the Maestro Fuzz Tone. I use to put the amp in the closet with a bunch of pillows around it and turn it up all the way. It barely had any power so I never blew the speaker or the tubes. Then when The Rolling Stones recorded 'Satisfaction' that was the first use of the Fuzz Tone and all the kids had to have one. My poor parents and neighbors, or yeah, and neighborhood dogs.
@@BeachJazzMusic ahhh i see what a time to be alive😪 they cost more than im worth now. your grandparents and parents really loved you that’s super cool do you still have it?

I keep coming back and listen to this probably 10 times a day... I just ordered my first electric guitar I've been messing with the bass for a couple of months. The bass was the first musical instrument I've ever touched but I knew I should've gotten a guitar... welp now I have both.
I Can’t tell whether you’re trying not to smile or whether you’re trying to smile I see one trying to pop up every now and again that’s a nice little jazz composition there that guitar sounds real good keep up the good work young lady
What lovely playing! What a lovely sound! Just goes to show one guitar isn’t “for” a particular style of music any more than another is. Intention is everything.
Mustangs get no love, but they'll always have a place in my heart. Those single coils and the phase configurations of the switches produces sound textures that you won't find on any other guitar. 👍🏻😎
My parents bought me a sunburst Mustang new in 1970 or 1971. Traded a 3-pickup Teisco Del Rey ES-335 style guitar for it. Was great, had wanted a Strat but this did fine for playing out with our band for a good 2-3 years. Sounded great with my Big Muff Pi.
Such a warm and soft tone) It's really sounds good. On the last week I bought G&L ASAT Classic) It also has very nice tone with original Alnico electronics)

Every time I see a Mustang my heart melts. Such a perfect looking guitar and fun to play.
You can buy the MIM Jaguar I have for sale. I recently realized I’m not an offset guitar player. I’m more of a Strat,Tele or LP guy.
are you kidding, offset, strange light switches, it looks bizarre
@@djizzah Agreed. I have a surplus of the “geezerhood weirdness vibe” going without strapping a bizarre looking axe to my body.😜
Just got one as my first guitar!!
