    Is vmix call ever going to have functional screen sharing?

    I’m making a victory dance 🎉🎉🎉 - seems I can finally trash my mixingboard or downscale it! Audio got the love in 27!

    That will be perfect, I am going to remove my sound mixer from the control room.

    Such a shame that vMix is still not offering HLS streaming in 27. RUclips have been offering HLS ingest for nearly a year now, so it's surprising that this is being ignored? Since streaming to RUclips via HLS our sports streaming quality has improved immensely (particularly with water sports, where via RTMP surface ripples appeared as dithering mush). The only way we can hack this is by running NDI out of vMix into OBS. Not an ideal scenario - come on vMix, get with it!

      you could attempt to write a helper script/program to forward the LiveLAN HLS output .ts segments to youtube (assuming the encode parameters are to Google's liking), through ffmpeg, or something; technically vMix does have HLS encoding because of the LiveLAN feature. I wish it also supported LiveLAN HLS for output channel 2 as well.

    Can we either get either LiveLAN HLS for output channel 2 as well and/or overall more configurable HLS encoding (both push of the .ts segs to youtube as some people want -i dont care about that, and the current internal web server mode)? Can I get 6 or 10 second segments, I know everyone wants the low latency but sometimes I have other use cases. vMix is just very opaque to the user in how its managing it's various encodes. I can't tell what is piggybacking off what (less I watch the CPU usage I guess).

    It would be great to have two or more additional SRT outputs even if they were fixed (start/stop stream to change them) to a single input layer and even without audio. When running in the cloud, only having four outputs is difficult even with excellent use of the TCP API to max out workflows/change multiviews/etc, even when making dodgy use of second virtual monitor/NDI screen capture to SRT via third party tools to get expanded outputs. I would really like to be able to send aux mix input (the little mini mix things) out via SRT or NDI (but then I'd still have to finangle NDI into something I care about like SRT or RTMP or what have you). TCP MPEG TS server outputs? It would be great to have more options to interconnect multiple vMix systems via SRT (such as having a second install just for vmix calls; wanting to offer two distinct return multiviews to callers, without eating into main system outputs). I suppose with hardware installs the now expanded four external outputs are a nice solution for interlinking physical systems. Even making the webcam outputs/vMix video outputs different then NDI webcam thing can turn them into SRT for me. Or different options for vmix call return video beyond the four outputs.

    Is there an option (and via TCP API) to disable the mix-minus of vMix calls? Sometimes I want to hear myself back through the call and I currently have to use up an extra audio bus to enable that feedback routing. I like being able to toggle my own mic on/off back at myself as a confidence measure.

    Can we get an input type that creates a custom list of audio meter visualizations for specific channel(s), to be used in multiview layer overlays? Basically like the audio mixer popout window but just the level meters and a channel label strip and with ability to select which meters are visible. Currently screen capturing and cropping the mixer window; screen capture resets the "vMix 2" window selection on every startup.

    Does vMix use anything from gstreamer internally? vMix is incredible but the four outputs thing, really a chore (specifically from a aux routing/return feeds/multiview standpoint). Oh also, y'all are lovely, this is indeed a fun program to watch. Particularly during the postcard segment. 22:12 and 23:14 and 21:40

    I've had an error message since August, how do i resolve this.
    (Vmix Error
    Value of '0' is not valid for 'emSize'. 'emSize' should be greater than O and less than or equal to System.Single.MaxValue. Parameter name: emSize)
    Please assist me with a solution

    That OBSbot Camera has painful delay. Does or would Vmix ever be able to delay the vision and audio of the faster cameras to match the slowest camera in production? Understanding this is not suitable for imag.

      Not an automated thing, but you can delay video and audio in your settings- ruclips.net/video/gmYZ8pBFLRk/видео.html

    if I've included a GT title layer over a mini mix input thing (a multiview layer overlay on the mini mix), is there an easy way to fade the entire layer on/off just as with toggling the main 4 overlays, or would that fade have to be built into the title design, or done via an extra mini mix thing?
    also, can you tell me why opacity of title backgrounds appears different when rendered on the main output as an overlay compared to when included as a multiview layer overlay? like if I have a translucent lower third background layered over top a mini mix input thing, it appears differently than over the main output.

    Option to reload title (and erase existing title data for that input)? Is reloading the title supported via the TCP API, would input reset do that?

    Great addition in the audio mixer with bus mixer and a real aux send for channels to busses!🎉 When it will be possible to have a dynamic external output to busses ? It will be amazing to have the possibility to change the audio bus output to a secondary external audio ? Something like tricaster additional audio output in the routing tab? If you're using a broadcasting setup as I do, it will be gold to have a secondary output for the channel that can be directly addressed to a Dante virtual sound card output for example, rather than using only the busses, something like the NDI output feature for the calls and the cameras with embedded audio too... If you can address at least one supplemental output on external audio device for each input vmix will be adding a great feature and will help a lot routing in the IP workflow . If I need to have iso audio feeds from my vmix call I have to use a bus or use the NDI feature output and pass through an NC2IO module to de embedd audio and send that NDI audio feed to Dante for example... It will be quite amazing if I can send the supplemental Dante audio output directly from the vmix input instead, so to coordinate 1 caller talent you don't need 2 busses for the mix minus but you can just use 1 and send the direct audio output from a small "additional audio output" window on the input itself ! Great video as always 😊

    Love vMix like I can’t tell you but the fact that nobody cares about the intro music on this cutting off so abruptly kills me. It’s due to the fact that vMix stops any videos as soon as it cuts away from it. This seems to be based on the assumption that if we can’t see it why would we want hear it.?? Creating continuous music bed under a program menu sequence like almost every TV news is almost impossible. Just imagine the power of being able to have separate audio and video transitions and finally lose these abrupt clunky cuts. Just need the option to allow the video to continue to play for a couple of seconds while we fade it’s audio out gently. What do we think?

    • @elomazamati3372
      @elomazamati3372 10 месяцев назад

      turn off automatically mix audio and the option that pauses the video on transition (done in the input settings for desired input) and the video's audio will keep playing even when not in focus. Of course you'd have to manually turn off the video's audio or pause the video but it solves the issue you seem to be having. You could also manually fade out the music using the audio mixer (there may be a way to automate it and make it smoother but I'm not too sure)

    • @marklet
      @marklet 10 месяцев назад

      @@elomazamati3372 yes that is true. I forgot to mention that I need it to work with triggers. So for example on end fade video to live camera. Even with all the settings you describe the trigger function ignores those settings and freezes the video as normal. Performing a manual fade works as you suggest. The triggered fade function does not perform the same function as the manual fade button. This inconsistency is has been overlooked by the coders and prevents automatic transitions from animated title sequences for example. Such a shame as everything else can be triggered to create professional broadcasts.
      The only work around was to trigger an automated key stroke of a character that had been set to trigger a manual fade transition. This is not practical as the trigger has to be set x number of frames from the video start meaning the only way to preview the transition is to wait for the entire length of the video. It’s bugged me for 6 years but it seems the instant stopping of videos on a triggered fade is here to stay. To me it seems like a massive oversight on an otherwise brilliant system.
