- My Hero Academia is a pretty well known anime for both good and bad reasons but mostly bad. Yet very few are aware that the anime's 7th season carries on MHA's run of raising the bar every season. This season is packed with a lot of action and stories, which might help change everyone's perception of MHA.

@@jeremygrandison1040 That’s true but they could’ve done it another way, the concert just came out of nowhere and became everything. Even in the final episode, Deku has to beat the villain to get to the concert and help out.
It could’ve been shorter (have a 3-4 episode beach arc for fun)
@@Lee_Boi This arc was just like the training arc from demon slayer, even though the animation was good and it was still really high quality, it was all just filling. Same thing here idk why the arc is there, i believe i would work better in a manga then making an entire season. Thats just my opion though.
@@bold4138 Exactly but the cool thing about the Hashira Training Arc, was that the signs were there that it would be filler. From the short amount of episodes and it being called a “Training Arc”, you could see they were giving characters a break to train, but also teaching us a bit about some of the Hashira we don’t know yet. MHA did it in a confusing way.

I love seeing Lemillion trying to make her smile for Nighteye, it is so beautifully satisfying
I love the song, Hero Too, it's such a BOP!
And don't get the hate on it at all, it's PEAK for me, and I'll defend this arc til the day I'll be decayed! (if ya know what I mean)

It’s explained that Midoriya got caught by Toga and pulled into the portal with her because danger sense didn’t tell him she was going to do that because when she hurts someone, it’s her showing affection, and in her eyes that’s normal for her.
@@ManakiGTaiyo I got that part but he’s strong enough to rip it off or not be dragged away by it, especially because it’s just Toga on the other end not anyone strong like that.
I get what you mean, but from the scene, i guess he just wasn’t fast enough to get it off him in time, especially if he had no idea the attack was coming
@@ManakiGTaiyo Yeah, he probably couldn’t react fast enough. The scene is slowed down before he gets dragged away, so it’s possible too🤷🏽♂️
Season 6 is where it came back, season 5 was above okay could even say good but season 6 is where it started to come back and go hard
@@solaire07 That’s very true, even I was surprised by how a few people were talking about MHA being really good again during season 6 after most people dropped it between season 3 and 4. Season 5 started giving us bigger hints that it was going to become way darker and brutal.

Beleave me, the festival arc is not filler. The entier reazon Deku realizes villains aren´t necesarily inheratly bad people is because of Gentle. The next pay of from that arc happens soon, that is all I´ll say.
tbh i dont remember the whole season, but making it that long was kind of useless, they could
ve done it in less episodes
@@ManiacForStorysyMusi That part was cool but that season was all over the place. We gain sympathy and understanding for the villains naturally as the seasons have passed and their stories have been told. Gentle’s message/story becomes an afterthought.
@@bold4138 I absolutley agree with this, The problem is that they where adapting two chapters per episode in this part, which is how most of season 2 adapted things, but now the chapters being adapted were shorter, so they draged
@@Lee_Boi It´s not about us as audience members, its about Deku. I don´t know how open he would have been to saving Shigaraki if he hadn´t seen people that had no ill intent work as villains due to their situation

@@justsomecheezyguy It’s not only you, he does look weird. Seeing him sheepishly smile and be shy about looking up to All Might and wanting his autograph, made that scene so much more impactful. We saw a glimpse of the real Bakugo not Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight🤣 (OST cooked too).
Good video but people who say season 4 is filler piss me off. You just don't understand the parallel between gentle criminal and Deku. And the concert was for Eri. He wanted to make sure this child he just saved who has never known happiness get one moment of geniune fun

No, I got all of it (it wasn't that complex to get what was going on) but it didn't hit me like that. I still stand on my feelings back then of the season feeling like filler (which it wasn't as I've been told) and my opinion of it being probably the weakest season but understand that other people really liked it and think differently, ultimately it's just preference.
Season 4 part 2 wasnt filler. Imma be honest, I thought of it the same way. But you will later see why the season 4s second part will be important

The rest of the season is going to be darker and darker. Next episode (ep 13) is going to be probably top 3 episode in the show because deku will go absolutely insane on shigaraki.

I was fr crying every episode of season 7, even though I read the manga. And also season 4 wasn’t just for filler. First of all, it was the last time that they all got to smile. It does have a point.

That’s true but it seems like most people enjoy the last episodes more than the entire season. Overhaul took up most of the season but it was forgettable and when we get to the concert, I’ve learnt that it wasn’t filler but it felt like it. My brain is programmed to consider any concert or beach episodes or school party to be filler, that’s on me.
yeah, that singing show gave us some great songs but thats about it tbh
i was always keeping up with MHA and it definetly had a ton of great, impactful moments (All Might vs All for One and Deku & Eri vs Overhaul will always be memorable imo)
My main issue with basically most of S1-S4 is that it had great moments, but the pacing was just not great. Especially S4 (the overhaul stuff, not the fucking school festival) had so many flashbacks i felt like fucking Okabe Rintarou.
BUT S6 and S7 (the current one and that before) had much, MUCH better pacing and were much more serious and also much more brutal.
I honestly didnt really mind the filler arcs as i was watching them, although im pretty sure i wouldnt rewatch them since they really werent that interesting mostly
i really think the fact that its set in school (and specifically in THE FIRST YEAR) really held back the series. Most uninteresting filler stuff was school related iirc and that really held it down.
Tl;dr: if you dont mind skipping a couple of episodes here and there and you just want a simple shounen, i think MHA is definetly worth your time, especially because these last two season have been really fucking good imo

The Overhaul saga felt super weird, it was super anticlimactic. He was there and then he was finished, it almost felt like even the characters in the anime were surprised by how short Overhaul’s arc was.
For a anime that has a lot of episodes and seasons, MHA plays a bit too much with its time resulting in shaky pacing. Either it’s too fast, too slow or just right but never consistent enough to firmly be one of the three(until S6 & S7). Which is bad because as the seasons pile up, trying to get people into the anime gets harder as the amount they’d have to watch becomes daunting with the fear of possible inconsistency.
Despite this, it’s still a good watch. The internet would have you thinking MHA is a terrible anime when it’s not, it’s just flawed like any anime🤷🏽♂️

The U.A. School Festival isn’t Filler, as it did happen in the Manga, and it does have a point, but I gotta level with ya’, it does feel like the Manga’s portrayal of it was done better
Also Season 7 isn’t borderline the end, it’s LITERALLY The Final Season Part 1.. with The Final Arc starting at Season 7 Episode.6
Also, the reason for the Animation drop is likely because we’ve still got MHA’s 'Super-Saiyan/Gear 5 Moment coming up in S7 Ep.13' & another 'Break the Internet' fight coming up
@@RealtaoNua It felt like filler, the execution wasn’t good even with it aiming to send a message. It felt weird and out of place, it’s more of a critique on the delivery than message. Thanks for keeping it a buck, I don’t know that much about the manga (I don’t really read the manga that much, just watch the anime)
That’s been a question mark to me because some say this is the final season while others say it isn’t. I can’t say this is the final season and then Part 2 comes out with x amount of episodes, it will be confusing like Attack On Titan again with all the parts of the final season. So it’s safer to say “borderline”, to not confuse everyone (including myself) and draw attention to the journey almost coming to an end.
That can be true but if this is the final season go out with a bang from the start to finish, have awesome animation all the way. Celebrate the entire season and not only the moments.
The point of the concert in season 4 was to show Eri that there are things to look forward to and smile about since we know she had been traumatized her whole life and bonded by the chains of overhaul, she even had difficulty pulling a fake smile. During the concert, she finally let the ghost of overhaul be put to rest and smiled for the first time ever. In my opinion, it wasn’t pointless at all and a lot of people overlooked it
@@exactcrackle9659 I get that, the symbolism was beautiful and it was very sweet but realistically can a concert really have that powerful of an effect on someone who’s been through a lot like Eri ?
Maybe I’m being too serious and analytical, but there could’ve been better ways to help her directly and personally and make it seem more natural with her and the anime in general instead of a random concert. That’s just my opinion, you’re not wrong in how you feel about it and it’s a fair way to see it as well.

Overhaul was not a good villain and you know it deep down inside. He gets overshadowed by Gentle and he showed up at the end(👀)
There I fully agree, breaks are important and they’re actually a realistic action after going through a tough time or big moment.

Video is very flawed imo. Idk if the summary of Midoriya’s origin is supposed to be a joke, but even if it is, it doesn’t give good context and when you have the possibility of confusing newcomers to the show it’s best you edit that to make more sense or just leave that out completely cuz let’s be fr if you’re watching this video you know wtf my hero is and you probably are caught up otherwise you wouldn’t be spoiling yourself on the new season. Other than that you made a few good points and I agree that My Hero is underrated. People need to realize this is the climax arc we are currently in and I believe it is going to be stretched into next season as well even tho I don’t read the manga. Very excited to see what is to come but everybody needs to experience this on their own and form their own opinion
