I usually LOATHE patchouli in most fragrances, but I am grateful that you guys are actually talking about that. Many reviews on youtube don´t even mention the note when it is pretty clear when it´s present in a scent. Again, cannot stand 90% of patchouli based fragrances but you guys are doing one amazing job coaching noses worldwide, lol. Carry on.

Patch Flash is indeed very elegant and almost classic Chanelike; stern, to the lovers of a thick dark patchoulis beasts like the Jovoy one (the horror of spelling )it is perhaps not a safe blind buy, it is far too bright and airy if your deeply into the darker patch. Patchouli can never be boring! Best subject ever! Myself I love Les Nereides Patchouli Antique it has that trance quality a serenity and simple pureness and I also love Vanille Patchouli Les Seteurs Gourmandes, wry affordable and got huge love for Dames Earth Mother as a wearable clean summer patch, so good... Thank you this was a very inspiering watch.
You have the Perfect choice as #1 Patchouli in my opinion !! I was converted to this one. Initially upon 1st spray, however, I was repelled. I attempted to scrub it off. Fortunately for me, it is so made that the scent wouldn't budge !!! Some 20 or so minutes into the dry down, I was IN LOVE ! 😍 So, I figured I would share this experience as a disclaimer for anyone in your viewing audience who may be considering trying Pschedelique by JOVOY PARIS. Please give this fragrance an opportunity to dry down and do it's magic. Otherwise you may be put off by the initial blast. In this case in particular... Patience is a Virtue that will certainly be rewarded...!! 😁
Wow! That's quite a comprehensive list of patchouli frags! I was in a big patchouli fragrances 4-5 years ago, but sort of fell out of love...although I still enjoy wearing them from time to time. Also, patchouli fragrances were hard for me to define since there is a fair amount of patchouli in so many fragrances. To me, I don't like an overly "hippy" kind of in-your-face patchouli. Instead, I like a full-flavored patch that is smooth and with the edges and wrinkles removed - if that makes any sense. There are a ton of great patchouli frags...but if they're overly gourmand, not patchy enough, or haven't been smoothed out then they didn't make my list. My favorites in this category are: Chanel Coromandel Dior Patchouli Imperial Bois 1920 Real Patchouly Perris Monte Carlo Essence de Patchouli Les Nereides Patchouli Antique These are on my to-sniff/to-purchase list: Montale Patchouli Leaves Les Nereides Patchouli Precieux Von Eusersdorff Classic Patchouli Cheers!
My signature scent is Calvin Klein Obsession over a base of patchouli oil. That combo is magical for me. Women love how it smells on me and other guys ask me what I'm wearing. I love patchouli and it seems to agree with my skin chemistry.
I've been drawn to Patchouli since my indoctrination in the 60's and 70's! What a difference a day makes. LIDGE, why oh why do they mess with perfection? Bummer. Great review, I enjoyed it immensely.
All of the perfumeries in Florence are excellent, as most of them have been around for centuries. After all, the frorentins have tought the french and the english modern perfumery, after Caterina de' Medici married the King of France during the renaissance. In my opinion, one of the best perfumer is Farmacia SS (which stands for Santissima=most hallowed) Annunziata: they don't make many fragrances, but all of them are astounding. My favourite is Nero Incenso Concentrato. If you love Avignon, Nero incenso takes the concept of Avignon and brings it to the very top level. If some of you will go to Florence, you should plan a tour of all of the perfume pharmacies (SS Annunziata, Santa Maria Novella and Profumi di Firenze above the others) and artisans perfumers; you won't regret it, but maybe you will spend some money.... I love Dhalia!!!
She was a great guest for this video. I'm not overly excited about patchouli but I do enjoy some, especially kerosene fields of rubus. I like to think of it as Tuscan leather but instead of leather/coke you get that chocolatey patchouli.

I loveeeeeeee patchouli, and not a fresh one. Dark, smoky, dirty beauty of the patchouli. I love HDP Noir patchouli, beautiful composition, gorgeous dry down, unfortunately stays on my skin only two hours, on fabrics much longer. Lovely review video. 🌷🍀
Gotta say. I have recently bought two new fragrances. Gold rose oudh and ecstasy by tiziana Terenzi. Both were on number 1 on two of your list with dayla. Great recommendations.
Atelier Mistral Patchouli is my favorite patchouli fragrance. I bought it in Paris when it was first released loved it immediately. It also has the distinction of being the only frag I like with a star anise note.
Thanks for the crash course on Patchouli, Seb and Dalya. Not really sure how to make of Patchouli scent. I have LIDGE and did not even knew that it is classified as Patchouli-based.
I strongly recommend you to try Jehanne Rigaud Parfums - Patchouly. Very affordable and incredibly high quality. They also have an amazing amber - Ambre Obscur
Intersting list. There are many that I haven't yet tried. I really love patchouli. Two others I might mention are Serge Lutens Bornéo 1834 and Comme des Garçons Luxe: Patchouli. They may have been too similar to other fragrances on your list.
I liked this at 0:09! Dalya is a great guest; would love to see her again. I agree with many of your picks, especially Psychedelique. I'm definitely going to try Dr. Vranjes Firenze Zagara e Patchouli. Two of my favorites not on the list are Patchouli Nobile by Nobile 1942 and Serge Lutens Borneo 1834. I'm going to spray on some Borneo right now!

I wasn't too keen on the Coromandel EDP formulation. It does smell like Coromandel but it seems to have lost its sparkle. And I do feel that they added some kind of sugary amber accord in the base...which i smell in a number of mainstream releases. My favourite Patchouli scent so far is Coromandel EDT followed by Sammarco's Bond-T/ Serge Lutens Borneo 1834. But in general, i do think I would like most patchouli scents, its hard to screw up patchouli. Tauerville's Patchouli Flash wasn't good on me. The patchouli note is earthy, clean and elegant but there's this unpleasant fabric softener laundry musk accord that swamps over the patchouli on my skin. Sad :( I love applying a single drop of patchouli in the shower. It brings back feelings of trekking through the jungle for me.

Its not too bad, a bit too clean for my liking (i think i detect the dreaded white musk in the background) but much preferable to patchouli flash. Surprisingly for a parfum concentration, it did not have much longevity on my skin.
Well, Jovoy has been a huge disappointment for me. Psychedelique, Jeux Soint Faits and even Private Label are not suiting me at all. Psychedelique is not an attractive perfume at all. I've received two negative comments from females. First that it's dusty and choking and the second was that it smells like rotten wood. So it's not a universally appealing smell. It's something like a super niche fragrance for noses that got bored of nice smelling stuff.

You saw the Intense but now rebottled in dark purple. Light purple is for the regular one. A greener one. The dark bottle shown in the video was stopped around 2015.
I wanted to like Reminiscence Patchouli. I couldn't, it gave me a headache, too sweet. Would love an affordable fresh, citrus, patchouli fragrance. Heavy patchouli. I'm a woman but like unisex type fragrances.

Great video, if anyone is looking for an all-around patchouli room and fabric re-fresher, the "Grab Green (brand)- Vetiver" is a great patchouli scent, with an undertone of lemon. Every time I have sprayed it in my apartment, I have earned several compliments from guests. Cheers!

I was expecting to see Frederic Malle Monsieur, but it was not on this list, and I have to say, even tho I'm not a the biggest fan of patchouli, that one really smells nice to me. Nevertheless, good list.
This scent was extremly good, once you sprayed it on, it never left you through the day. Black rose and an cirtus opening, patchouly from the start to the end. I never found an equal performance ever again. Very sad they discontinued one of the best Poisons Dior ever made. If you can get one, you must try it! You can only win ;))

I saw Molinard Patchouli Intense on the Beverly Hills Perfumery website in a bottle shaped like the purple, but it's a reflective rose gold look
You saw the Intense but now rebottled in dark purple. Light purple is for the regular one. A greener one. The dark bottle shown in the video was stopped around 2015.

How would you describe the smell of patchouli essential oil?
I wanted to like Reminiscence Patchouli. I couldn't, it gave me a headache, too sweet. Would love an affordable fresh, citrus, patchouli fragrance. Heavy patchouli. I'm a woman but like unisex type fragrances.

Great video, if anyone is looking for an all-around patchouli room and fabric re-fresher, the "Grab Green (brand)- Vetiver" is a great patchouli scent, with an undertone of lemon. Every time I have sprayed it in my apartment, I have earned several compliments from guests. Cheers!

This scent was extremly good, once you sprayed it on, it never left you through the day. Black rose and an cirtus opening, patchouly from the start to the end. I never found an equal performance ever again. Very sad they discontinued one of the best Poisons Dior ever made.
If you can get one, you must try it! You can only win ;))
Not to forget about the combo of rose and patchouly are by Juliette has a Gun "Lady Venegeance" and "Midnight Oud". Both extremly well formulated.

Patchouli Intense by Nicolai Parfumeur Createur is one the best and long lasting that I have.
Patchouli Rosso is a good one specially for 35 or 37 euros, shame that U.S carrier lifts the price up to 150 USD or something, it's like selling Zino Davidoff for Serge Lutens price.
