- It's been a long time since I've uploaded anything and this is just a quick tour of our recently completed solar pergola. We don't have a big homestead in the hills, we live in the city and have hated the continual increase in energy rates. Follow along as we become energy independent while still living a totally normal life in the city.
System details:
Sol-Ark 15k Inverter
(3) SOK 5.12kWh batteries
(15) Canadian Solar 445w Bi-facial panels on the pergola
EG4 Chargeverter
(4) Q.Cells 400w panels on our contractor camper
(1) EG4 48v V2 LL battery in contractor camper Наука
Awesome video! thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Nice job on the installation!
Much appreciated!
the Bi-Polar solar looks great like that plus shorten cables look awesome
Thank you! It was a lot of work but I think it paid off
sweet power plant. Saw your post on Will Prowse DIY solar forum. Love what you have done
Thanks! I didn’t share it there as I didn’t want to spam anyone. Maybe in time I’ll try to make some more engaging videos haha!
@@muirindustries I read the story on how the inspector was surprised on the under 200 sq ft calculation was done. maybe read/saw it on another video. I love this tech and how people use it
I have grid tie 18Kw solars and it is not enough ... lol
You must be running a lot!
@@muirindustries AC in NYC is killing the power. lol. split system next
..changed electric dryer to gas.. time to go back to electric lmao
We’ll see how it goes, I’m just planning for winter and want to make sure our dryer doesn’t hog all the power ;)
@@muirindustries yea I make sure to only run most of our stuff during peak day. I will be adding a hot water heater soon and getting rid of the gas entirely. I'll have a night/day switch and turn it off at night. They can stay warm a few days without power but this will just allow it to only draw power during the day
@@gg-gn3re smart! I think our next upgrade will be an induction cooktop
@@muirindustries nice, it's a whole new thing being able to actually set pan temperature lol
@@gg-gn3re I cannot wait!!
