Thank you! I haven't really tracked others that specialize in clothing to see how their sell through rate is. Obviously though I will always want it better than what it currently is. haha
New subscriber here as well. You Tube recommended you :) I like your straight forward approach, and your love for the business shines through. I am getting back into reselling on eBay after a few years away and boy has it changed. Doing mostly men's clothing but want to get more hard goods and electronics as well. Hovering just over 100 items right now, and refining my sourcing as I go along of course. Thanks for the good info!
Yeah I figured a lot of my vcr sales go to people refurbishing and selling on Amazon, but didn’t know they use a message like that. Haha. Good to know, thanks!!
Yeah Mercari just doesn’t have the traffic that eBay and Poshmark do and the buyer has to pay all the fees. I would probably focus on the other platforms honestly.
Great videos Jim! Are you cross listing on Poshmark? If so what app are you using to cross list? I'm considering Poshmark now that fees were dropped. Ive been selling on eBay since 2000.
What do you do about eBay returns? I selected no returns, I use to have returned accepted on, but my nwt inventory would still come back with try on wear, so I turned returns off. eBay still accepts returns overriding me, even if the customer states they didn’t like the clothes.
I look at returns like I would as a shopper. I wouldn’t buy any clothing item without the possibility of returning if it didn’t fit. So I have 30 day returns on, and have started to use free returns to see if that helped with sales. NWT is the same. I’ve had a few new items returned and the buyer did not remove any tags. They way I think about, if it sold once, it will sell again.
Really enjoy your content Jim. You seem very honest and transparent with things. Keep up the good work!
agree. One of the few.
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
A sell through rate over 50% in predominantly clothing is actually really really good! Don’t short change yourself

Happy to see you doing well🌷 Thanks!

That’s great! Appreciate you subscribing! Good luck getting back into reselling, hope sales are great for you!
Those VCRs with that message are drop shippers haha. They’ll usually buy instantly to fulfill Amazon sales.

I only started reselling this past summer and have never had a single sale on Mercari

Yep! I used FLYP for my crosslisting tool for Poshmark and Mercari. You can also delist items easliy once it sells.
hi! new here to your channel. If you don’t mind me asking about how many listing do you put up per day or week on eBay? Thanks!!
I list between 10-12 items every day and then crosslist those to Poshmark and Mercari. Thanks for watching!
