Excellent performance! What a powerful delivery! I was there!!! Unforgettable! Thank you Mr. Turner and RMC for such an amazing goosebumps chilling performance!!! Long live R'N'R!!!
You guys have to remember he was 64 years old when he did this.. Let's see how many can be what you where in your 20s when you are 60 plus. He's got the attitude and giving his best instead of a sulking about life and whining about how the youth is lost...
I actually think he sounds better than ever at the "tender" age of 65 and i think he did a great job on this even though im a huge Dio fan and nothing really compares to Dio singing it.
" Now where do we go?????" You are flying the height where Eagles soar, Joe Lynn Turner. Keep your altitude and Rock on my brother, keep it up and ROCK ON ! ! ! \\m// \\m//
I think all the singer has had been sucking is a lot of Big Macs, Big Gulp and donuts. This was a great song once I think, no? He sing it nothing like Donnie James Deo
Estoy realmente asombrado !!! tal vez algunos diran que JOE nunca estara a la altura de DIO, y claro que no...pero hizo un Excelente trabajo con este tema que no cualquiera se atreveria a cantar sin ser duramente criticado... I am truly amazed! Perhaps some will say that JOE will never be at the height of DIO, and clear that not... but did an excellent job with this theme that not any is vegeto to sing without being severely criticized...
All the haters and low lives stayed home at their moms attics that night! How more hateful comments could you write?!... God will sort you all out for your jealousy and misery! Go JLT!!! One of the last ones that are still kicking ass!!! You are incredible!!! We love you!
I don't like the symphony fad that's going around in rock or heavy metal, but for this particular song, it's not bad. This song lends itself to symphony accompaniment and the energy of everyone on stage is contagious! The lead guitarist is pretty good! I like Joe Lynn Turner and I like this performance.
there are many many better technical guitar players then blackmore...but...very few who can effectively cover him...which says a lot...and he was right there, an integral influence, at the genesis of it all...
There's a lot of guitar players who can play faster than Blackmore for shure. But a few of them got the brain to create so many master pieces of music, creativity is where Blackmore shines over everyone.
I agree, Marco...I also think the he had/has a very unique signature to his playing...when you hear him play, you don't need to check to see who's playing.
+eqsmooth I became a Rainbow fan when I first heard the first Rainbow album but never saw them live with Dio I loved Down to earth but Rainbow didn't tour that album so like you I didn't see them till 82 on the Difficult to cure tour I was a huge Blackmore fan and was standing right in front of the stage in front of Blackmore I even caught the slide he used while playing Difficult to cure I still have it to this day' I thought the band sounded great but I don't think they did any Dio material except maybe man on the silver mountain. I liked the JLT era Rainbow but it was no comparison to the Blackmore/Dio/Powell Rainbow
Well actor Gary Oldham born in England speaks with a American accent, so much when he finally did an English film he had to hire a voice coach to regain his English accent
Not a bad effort at all! Thing is, very. very few singers can ever do anything like justice to Ronnie James Dio's songs but this is one of the better attempts. You're on a hiding to nothing so unless you get it as close as you can can (short of using his actual voice on a backing tape or something ) You're always risking it. JUst two words of advice though, Dump The Syrup, and tell your guitarist that the guitar solo in Stargazer DOES NOT require any kind of fretboard runs
+Skinny Buranakit-Mason Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow shows nowadays seem to me as hilarious as you think about this video...JLT believed in a glorious tour reunion with all former members last year, celebrating 40th anniversary; but, instead of that, we found only lame and weak concerts by a decrepit old Blackmore, supported also by a kind of "tribute band", who have no idea of performing classics from RAINBOW...
+Skinny Buranakit-Mason I agree, even he sings it on a lower key, on the other part Ronnie Romero did justice to this song along with Ritchie Blackmore
Stargazer is a utterly difficult song to sing, everyone knows that is DIO´s song, but JLT did it not bad. However the background choir were not convincing.
this is simply a great performance, Joe sings great ! some people apparently got nothing else to do than to find something to complain about, my advise for those people: just don´t watch it !
I did have an attempt at being a singer in a band for a while but was never that good, so I packed in, I tried I failed and do have some understanding of music. I've also seen JLT before and thought he was great. I just didn't think that this was a particularly good attempt at this track while I was there, his other two songs were fine.
JLT sounds great, they should have left the Orchestral musicians at home . I imagine the band was tuned down a step or two since that seems to be what everyone does these days (although I suspect JTL can hit everything in standard tuning just fine - he's always had an amazing range), and the Orchestra was tuned to standard tuning - which created that God awful cacophony. .
Alex Envy I think Joe did ok. One of the things Joe and Ronnie were great at was how they ended songs with lyrical phrasing and different melodies. For example when Ronnie sang 'I see a rainbow rising, look there on the horizon.' Love that stuff. That's where Joe killed it for me. Those endings are songs within the song. Joe should have stuck to the script.
Versão ruim. Este povo todo no palco não fez nem metade do que fazia o Rainbow nos bons tempos. Eu gosto do JLT, mas acho que ele não compreendeu esta música. Ele tem uma abordagem muito pop e música é muito épica.
His voice has got better over the years. Decent tribute to Dio.
I think so to, he sounds better today than in the Rainbow days.
Wow Turner's best performance in 30 years. This is great Horns up \m/
joe .. you performed so damn good ..... amazing brilliant joe ..you still rock and u ll rock to the end
Great tribute. Long live JLT!
Nice tribute to the biggest voice ever-DIO
We miss you Ronnie and we love you
Excellent version of Star Gazer. Love the orchestra which definitely added to the song. Very well done Joe. You did it justice.
Excellent performance! What a powerful delivery! I was there!!! Unforgettable! Thank you Mr. Turner and RMC for such an amazing goosebumps chilling performance!!! Long live R'N'R!!!
AWESOMENESSSSSSSSSSSS
You guys have to remember he was 64 years old when he did this.. Let's see how many can be what you where in your 20s when you are 60 plus. He's got the attitude and giving his best instead of a sulking about life and whining about how the youth is lost...
Maybe he needs the money!!
I actually think he sounds better than ever at the "tender" age of 65 and i think he did a great job on this even though im a huge Dio fan and nothing really compares to Dio singing it.
So true bro. Love ya Joe.
Very nice! This is a timeless piece of music, no matter who performs it. I wish we could see him with Blackmore at some point again.
+rudek25 soon, just a few more months!
Joe is a fantastic singer..and great attitude..I personally loved the deep purple album slaves and masters
DIO would be proud..this is fucking EPIC..Joe Lynn is killing it!!!
Joe fucking sucks, Stargazer shouldn't be touched.
+Anki Hansen I tend to agree. Even Blackmore dropped it from the set relatively quickly because he felt he couldn't match the studio version.
+thewheel246
true
+thewheel246
Not killing it..more like murdering it!
Absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!
" Now where do we go?????"
You are flying the height where Eagles soar, Joe Lynn Turner. Keep your altitude and Rock on my brother, keep it up and ROCK ON ! ! ! \\m// \\m//
Happy birthday Joe Lynn Turner🎂
Dam!! Great job Joe
Great cover
JLT You are a great man with a KILLER Voice !
Well done ,period.
Классная песня и классное живое исполнение,столько людей на сцене!
Alta versión! Ni hablar! Honor a Ronnie James!!!

First time I've seen this ....JLT did a first. class job ....young Ronnie should listen to this

Hail Dio!
exelente joe !!!!
Joe sounds great!!! Haters can suck it
Rich they are busy sucking eachother haha, we rock to this
I think all the singer has had been sucking is a lot of Big Macs, Big Gulp and donuts. This was a great song once I think, no? He sing it nothing like Donnie James Deo
He's never sounded good, unless you like BUBBLE GUM Rock.
***** LOL, check out the youtube videos Joe with Cem Koksal live in Bursa, Turkey. Joe nails Deep Purple songs with near perection!
Ben Adam775 Go back and listen to what the GREAT Jon Lord thinks about Joe Lynn Turner singing for Purple.
Estoy realmente asombrado !!! tal vez algunos diran que JOE nunca estara a la altura de DIO, y claro que no...pero hizo un Excelente trabajo con este tema que no cualquiera se atreveria a cantar sin ser duramente criticado...

Wow Joe and band sounded incredible -nice nice work and what an excellent song Stargazer is :)
que buena rola RIP Ronnie
Purple played the first gig with an orchestra in 1969 as an original score. And it ain't second Beatles, it is simply a concept that works.
Тhe best song , forever !
dignifiedly
I don't like the symphony fad that's going around in rock or heavy metal, but for this particular song, it's not bad. Too many unfulfilled dreams of Joe Lynn Turner...Ronnie James Dio does not need money any more...
Why did they need to turn the hammond so loud
I'm subscribing just on this vdo thank you
excelente vercion y mejor aún joe un grande entre los grandes larga vida maestro
excellent version well done
yeah totally agree with ya buck
there are many many better technical guitar players then blackmore...but...very few who can effectively cover him...which says a lot...and he was right there, an integral influence, at the genesis of it all...

Joe still has it!
Памяти Дио,великий был вокал.
Супер !
bien ejecutado
Why the fuck is joe speaking with a british accent he's from fucking New Jersey
+eqsmooth I became a Rainbow fan when I first heard the first Rainbow album but never saw them live with Dio I loved Down to earth but Rainbow didn't tour that album so like you I didn't see them till 82 on the Difficult to cure tour I was a huge Blackmore fan and was standing right in front of the stage in front of Blackmore I even caught the slide he used while playing Difficult to cure I still have it to this day' I thought the band sounded great but I don't think they did any Dio material except maybe man on the silver mountain. Rainbow actually toured the Down to Earth album. there's even live video from it and live cd's as well
I know the did Castle Donington and maybe some other shows in Europe but I don't believe they toured the states for Down to Earth
Well actor Gary Oldham born in England speaks with a American accent, so much when he finally did an English film he had to hire a voice coach to regain his English accent
JLT! good to see him healthy,... but this is mess.. too many cooks
Yeah baby!!! A real RockOrchestra.
guitarist captures the blackmore feel well...not many players can do that.
Yeah it was actually quite good for once, not many does it well.
Guitarist was only good thing about this
Joe is good here, thanks to Mr. Blackmore for this song !
JLT at his best nice tribute to Dio
I'm shocked! It's actually quite good!
MrKayley10 why shocked? Turner is mint
MrKayley10 good rock

next to Dio Joe Lynn Turner is the best singer for rainbow
Guitarist is using the Yngwie 'Duck' replica guitar
true legend guys...jlt!!!
Great
Joe's singing is excellent
Fucking Brilliant!!Take a Bow!!!!!!!
impresionante
Who's playing the solo guitar ? he ain't Ritchie
euuuh euuuh : tribute to ritchie blackmore 's rainbow , please ; dio is only the singer
Sei un mostro joe
I had no idea Nigel Tufnel could sing so well. He still ain't got shit on Dio though.
Much better than I ever would´ve guessed. JLT is a prancing diva with zero taste, but he still has a great voice.
Awesome JLT, you see, Ritchie? WTF IS NOT IN RAINBOW?
+Skinny Buranakit-Mason Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow shows nowadays seem to me as hilarious as you think about this video...JLT believed in a glorious tour reunion with all former members last year, celebrating 40th anniversary; but, instead of that, we found only lame and weak concerts by a decrepit old Blackmore, supported also by a kind of "tribute band", who have no idea of performing classics from RAINBOW...
+Skinny Buranakit-Mason I agree, even he sings it on a lower key, on the other part Ronnie Romero did justice to this song along with Ritchie Blackmore
and on...and on...and on...
why Oliver hartmann didn't support the vocals?
Pretty good considering..
ジョーリンターナーもいいねぇ
Who is the guitarist with yellow fender??
Stargazer is a utterly difficult song to sing, everyone knows that is DIO´s song, but JLT did it not bad. However the background choir were not convincing.
With wips and chains, heat and the rain
he got it the wrong way round. Oh well
This song is not right for JLT voice. Rainbows live version of Stargazer is untouchable.
Chris Seaman amen
this is simply a great performance, Joe sings great ! some people apparently got nothing else to do than to find something to complain about, my advise for those people: just don´t watch it !
apisteutos para poly kalos
Very good with one exception...the backing singers sound like crap, otherwise very good
they ruined whole bands music in that concert
agree.. the backings are too loud
i saw yngwie's play loud guitar
Not a bad effort, but why was it in a lower key? I notice these things and it bothered me...
Because JLT can't sing in the normal key... he even struggled his ass off here.
JLT sounds good, he does the song justice. I agree the backup singers are a bit much, but overall a very nice job on the song.
RJD must be turning in his grave after this dogs arse of an attempt, sounded even worse while I was there.
Gaz Lovatt JLT is an excellent vocal
I did have an attempt at being a singer in a band for a while but was never that good, so I packed in, I tried I failed and do have some understanding of music. I've also seen JLT before and thought he was great. I just didn't think that this was a particularly good attempt at this track while I was there, his other two songs were fine.
+Михаил Владимиров Not in this song
members?

Dat belly of Joe :P
Hoh is better then orginal ?
WHO IS THE GUITAR?
no wonder it drove Richie
Who's on guitar? I don't recognize him.
jeddak 0liver hartmann (At vance, Avantasia) and Alex Beyrodt (primal fear)
wow , ist not RJD , be Joe sounds really good !
JTL & Jimmy Page
Joe Lynn Turner. spoiled song
Alex Envy I think Joe did ok. One of the things Joe and Ronnie were great at was how they ended songs with lyrical phrasing and different melodies. 30 years ago, he sang better!
Shutdown that organ, please.
Like JLT, love Ronnie. This version is lacking. Guitar is overplayed, the climactic ending is choppy and disconnected.
Damon Buckett Jesus its excellent
,,, is Joe wearing a wig ? ,,,, still his voice is not bad ,,,,,,,
+Woody Jagla ,yes, looks like a aspen brand monofilament mens dress wig,,voice sounds great agree
+Woody Jagla Yes, he always did.
+Neon Knight ,,, thanks - that's what I thought.
+Woody Jagla As far as I know, he was ill when he was a child.
+Neon Knight That's true, he has a disease called Alopecia Areata
