Big Lou inspired me to fight my illness hard and live when I was 15. I always wanted to be big and strong like the Hulk. I started working out and my body began to turn around and adapt to the regiment. I was dying of hepatitis and my body kept rejecting food and nutrients. @Atypical Lavender. I loved it too. You and I both were scared. Especially when the transformation from David Banner into the hulk. But I watched all the shows. I was so scared of his face and the intensity of his size😐😅🙄 that I actually had nightmares for about 10 years of him coming after me. It was always in my home. And I always hid from him. I know it sounds silly. But I did have them. They eventually went away. Looking back on the reruns and I watched as many as I can on RUclips, I actually get to see that he was a protector & he really was gentle. If you watch some of the shows the way the hulk interacts with animals, children and the gentleness with women. I had nothing to fear in fact. That was so silly, what did I know as a child. However, I would never fear him again. This is how great Lou Ferrigno played this part. With such sensitivity.. So believable. Anyone who experienced this show as a child we were treated to greatness. Classic greatness. And we will never see something so genuine like that again... Unfortunately. The good thing is I'm watching every clip I can find on the internet, and I can't get enough of the show. I'm on a binge now.😉 I'm so glad I found this interview on Lou. It explains and gives the show more clarity and appreciation for the role itself. 😊

I think The Revenge of The Incredible Hulk should be released as a graphic novel.

@David Loud for a movie yes but not for a book.

For me... He'll stay a legend with his enormous physique and with his movies... I think during his youth his true potential was not well visible, it appeared during his late thirty, early fourty. We're not going to see another bodybuilder like him...

I'm doing good thank God. Yes, I still hit the iron and try to eat healthy. Thanks for asking and I thank God for people like Lou who folks can look to for inspiration and perseverence in life.

If this is the interview from the flipper DVD of Pilot and Married, I am glad you uploaded it. I had that disc before I bought the Hulk mega set and it was not included with that set.

Before I had any idea of the Incredible Hulk or watched the series I always thought Arnold Schwarzenegger would be a great choice to play the hulk. Funny thing was my dad told me originally Arnold was one of the actors to play the hulk, but was rejected because he wasn’t tall for the role. Seeing Lou Ferrigno compared to Arnold, makes Lou look like a giant.

Definition of a gentle giant. Watching Pumping Iron I hated the way his dad treated him and I don’t blame Lou one bit for not having anything to do with him afterwards.
