I am also doing the same thing in Japan. However I spend more time to check some possibility if some drivers shall do sudden unexpected action, (ie open door or change lane etc.) We have to take note somebody could make unexpected action, under frustration of Traffic Jam)
You were being respectful and riding at a safe speed. I've done it plenty of times myself the exact same way. Hey, at 3:43, it says Bike Lane anyway so you're good. lol
That wasn't really lane splitting, but my only issue with that move is, driver animosity. Or maybe it's jealousy. They wish they had room to do it in their cars? But as a courtesy , i don't do it to that degree. But as any bike rider knows, sitting in traffic for more than a few minutes causes total discomfort from the engine heat, and chances of overheating is more on a bike, especially air cooled, so movement is a must. But,,, constantly passing on the right, is a no,no. You're always in a potential blind spot. So, if someone pulls out in your path,,, don't bitch. Ride safe.
Hi! I really liked you video, I was like mesmerized and put into a trance just watching it lolz! I woulda done the same thing! I wouldn't wait and sit there in the traffic. I'd really like to get a triumph thruxton, I was wondering what was your average speed on the open road with no traffic in the highway and/or the freeway. and what was the fastest speed you've you've ever went on it? Thanks and I really like your video, you should put up some more videos like this :)
You should rev a bit when filtering, makes your presence known, I know that helped me quite a few times when doing this in Paris and London. On the road you were it's allright to just ride on but in cities you never know when someone is going to come out of a car for example.
Do you still have the standard bar end mirror's on or have you taken them off? I was wondering what's the bike like when filtering through traffic, does it feel wide etc? Thanks - great bike btw!
paulbi2008 The Thrux is actually pretty narrow as compared to most other bikes. It's a very stable and comfortable motorcycle to split lanes with. The standard mirrors were not my favorite so I switched them out to what you see in the video. They provide much better rear viewing.
What do I think? I am thinking great video! However...., I am not sure I could repeat this experiment in Ohio. Traffic laws and the abundance of highway knuckleheads keep me in the slow lanes. Ugh!
Fine maschine and I have one too - but stop this stupid driving between carrows - it is not safe because cardrivers are stupid and at once the cardoor smack you and your fine bike and SHIT!!
Great riding! Beautiful machine too. Keep the shiny side up. 👍

Bikes are not made to wait in the traffic.
especially an air-cooled bike. talking from a mechanical point of view
Lane splitting. The only law in California that makes sense.
"What would you do at 2:50" Here in California it is legal and actually encouraged that motorcyclists filter between cars to prevent traffic build-up.
Lane splitting means one less vehicle in queue. It's better for everyone.
I agree with you 100% Dean!
would you say that you are.....cafe racing?
At 2:50? Same as you. Where I live its legal to hit the hard shoulder on a motorbike if the traffic is doing less that 35kph.

Ride safe.
Apart from riding on the wrong side of the road, I don't see an issue.
Who would ride that distance for Starbucks...pls
+Colin Newton Perhaps he just wanted to go on the ride for itself. Coffee was just a "side quest". :))
+Colin Newton thats what I'm saying, all that distance and ride and pull up to a starbucks, should have been a local coffee shop with style.
+agentrandom Perhaps I just needed an excuse to go for a ride! LOL
I would do the same, nice ride, great video. i enjoyed the ride just viewing the vid! Dutch One
You obviously don't ride
plenty of room, that was a long ass line of cars!

That cannot be the closest Starbucks to you!
How did you get the kickstand down so quickly?
same jeep at 1:54 and 5:45 if anyone cares.
+Johnny McKenna Lol yeah :)
Honestly if thats the traffic street im thinking of then dude i wouldve done the same thing.
I always want to pass cars like that, however it is illegal where I live, and I can never be sure that there might be a cop in that line up!
@Dutch One hey man. what mods/after market parts are you running? your bike seems to be a hell of a lot more snappy and fast than others ive seen
when will you people realise that "Starfucks"is not coffee
scribed! dutch where did you pickup that gas filler cap?

ahh, ok, just watch the end of the video and noticed you have different mirrors. I'd still be interested as to how the bike feels though!
Cheers!! :)

6:10 thats a cool truck
What camera do you use and how do you attach it?
Same as you !
This is like meditation to me. Subscribe
Bad ass video..
that a long way to get a coffee.. :)
It says lane Bike. You're driving a bike.
whats a comfortable RPM? or speed in general?
how much area did you cover in this time?
Ned Miller roughly 19 miles... I was never speeding btw..
what kind of exhaust do you have and did you upgradd carburetor?
+Austin Pasquarelli I upgraded the exhaust to an arrow 2 in 2 system. Very good upgrade. This model Thruxton does not have a carburetor it is EFI.
nice joker fuelcap;)

hi, are you running standard pipes on it.
No those are full Arrow pipes.
what do you have for pipes?
Those are Arrow 2 in 2 pipes. They create a very sweet sound but not too loud..
nice
terrible riding
robaxx I'll stick to my riding and you can keep making your little phone videos..
How is this terrible riding, i think he's Damm good!
