easy. he pushed it but it only came to a canter if you look at the pattern of the footing (left back and front right land together) so the horse was too tired to continue.
It is only pretty obvious he mistook the winning post to people who follow horse racing, but that has not stopped those who do not from still commenting anyway. As this particular thread shows.
Only the jockey knows, he is riding the horse! I think the horse got really tired, and it is not a great idea to push the horse, it is not good. The horses heart can stop if the jockey gives a lot of preasure to them!!
Obviously there was more to the story, Jockeys know horses, the jock obviously sensed the horse was in pain or something so he stopped whipping the horse and coasted. No mystery here.
This horse was absolutely exhausted he shouldn't have been running in the first place. I've worked in this industry in the U.K., I soon learned its not about the love of horses but about winning, boadting and getting dressed up and socialising with little animal love from anyone but the grooms, stable lads/lasses and strappers.
Of course it's about winning, how else would trainers, jockeys or owners survive otherwise, those who dress like the bees knees only go to the race's to be seen and wined and dined. A lot of fur coats and no Knickers go racing just to get noticed
He knew what he was doing. That horse was exhausted. He could barely go on. Its a wonder if he was able to walk off the track after that race. And for all we know, he could have been injured going over one of the fences.
It's interesting that everyone says the horse gave up so the jockey did, how can you tell? I'm stunned at a horse way ahead, a riderless horse behind and the rest of the field far away.....nothing says this was more than an exercise track.

This right here what was he thinking just shows the level of disrespect people have for horses
He was thinking "I am going to get a ban for excessive use of the whip and miss my ride on the Derby favourite "
He was thinking imma be a role model of good horsemanship bc they have given all they can
Jockey cared more about his horse, Respect.
No, he just mistook the winning post.
He made some negotiations with bookie
easy. he pushed it but it only came to a canter if you look at the pattern of the footing (left back and front right land together) so the horse was too tired to continue.
It’s pretty obvious he mistook the winning post . Jockey error .
No, there was something wrong in the rear of that horse. You can see the switch in gait. Cramp or injury. The jockey did the right thing.
@@edemontfort9482 Oh yah good eye! Back right? I wish the clip was just a bit longer and showed him breaking to a trot.
@@edemontfort9482absolutely nothing wrong with the horse, Jockey misjudged the line, .
It is only pretty obvious he mistook the winning post to people who follow horse racing, but that has not stopped those who do not from still commenting anyway.
As this particular thread shows.
They were filming a Movie Scene…
Yeah he definitely mistook the post as he was giving tap on his horse
Only the jockey knows, he is riding the horse! I think the horse got really tired, and it is not a great idea to push the horse, it is not good. The horses heart can stop if the jockey gives a lot of preasure to them!!
Jockey error and stopped riding at the wrong post, thinking he had won.
Obviously there was more to the story, Jockeys know horses, the jock obviously sensed the horse was in pain or something so he stopped whipping the horse and coasted. No mystery here.
The horse is either injured or something else happened. He's thinking about the horse.
The idiot thought he'd passed the winning line 😂
Its obvious hes ran out of petrol.🙄
The horse looks exhausted
That’s the sort of shit I bet on lol 🤦♂️
He did not know what he was doing, he mistook the winning post and so eased down thinking that he had already won.
He noticed the horse was losing stamina and he was done so he let the horse calm down.He did the right thing by letting the horse stop
No, that’s not what happened. He thought he saw the winning post but made a mistake.
@@goonervillegonad3662 look at the other comments
It's interesting that everyone says the horse gave up so the jockey did, how can you tell? I'm stunned at a horse way ahead, a riderless horse behind and the rest of the field far away.....nothing says this was more than an exercise track.
Stopped riding at the wrong post, thinking he had already won.
Who knows what going on. The poor magnificent horses aren't always treated with dignity. Sad.
All he did is ensure he is going to have trouble getting mounts.
Vet should have checked the horse see if the horse is vatige then check jockey is riding for bookmakers
It’s called not abusing your horse that’s what the jockey was doing props to this jockeys
Being forth is better than your horse dying
He knew exactly what he was doing! He started out to fast for the horse to finish at that pace. Maybe it'll be better next time.
How would you know that when you are only seeing the end of the race?
What actually happened is the jockey mistook the winning post.
Some mad comments on here about saving the horse. The jockey fucks up ! He stops riding as he thinks the race is finished. He pats the horse down the neck as he thinks he’s won and stops riding it out. !
Horse was exhausted - that's what he's thinking
What’d he do other than slow down? I’m confused
He thought they won the race but then the other horses crossed the finish line before him 😅
Sacked in the morning 😂
Another robbery some poor bastard felt!
Can anyone explain?
You can see clearly he pull the veins to slow down the horse....he got paid by someone to loose the game, trust me.
Unfortunately, I cannot trust you because that is not what happened and there are far better ways to lose a race than this.
The jockey mistook the half a furlong to go post for the winning post and so stopped riding when thinking that he had already won.
And it is not really a good idea or very nice to defame someone when you do not understand what is going on.
In all my days I've never read such ridiculous comments regarding why he stopped riding, he clearly misjudged the winning post and as for those who think the loose horse was the winning one, please god give me strength I'm dealing with people here who clearly haven't a clue about racing 😂 🙄🙄🙄
Too many people who do not follow racing, commenting on things they know nothing about.
Jockey had a bet on the winner
He probably could tell his horse was done so he let it end at that
He was being human for once
Niet zo hard slaan met die zweep jonge 😢
He thought he'd crossed the winning line when he hadn't. The end
The 1 got it done!!!
He knew something went wrong with horse
