I love these videos where there is no music and you can hear only the sounds of what you do, new subscriber!! Greetings from Argentina! 🇦🇷
Long press to edit & lock
Wish I have the tools and most importantly, your skills! Very elegant.
A tip to make the slot for the wire. Clamp the pieces together, mark your depth, and then drill. It would also be advisable to go down farther below the plug so when the cable is run out the back it isn't making a tight 90. And a last suggestion would be to attach the bottom with screws. That way if the cable dies, it can be replaced instead of having to make a whole new stand.
protips, especially the screw one
Good advice
Once you've drilled the hole, how do you get the cable in?
@@JAYRAY00 the pieces would just be clamped while you drill so they would come apart once you're all done
@@PsYkoTicxxRipZz ahh I see, I thought it was after clamping and gluing

Nice stand for smartphone.
That’s the way to store your phone in style!! Great job!
It's very good idea😁
Cool vid!
Top 👍👍👍
Good job 👍🇮🇩
Very cool! Can you make one with removable charger cable?
i would have made the back bit the same colour as the bottom for better contrast
Nice!
Súper nice
One slip or sneeze with that bandsaw and you'll resemble my 7th grade wood shop teacher Mr. Phlangeless

Nice idea..but for me I might use router tool embossed the whole shape of phone..

My god so much work.. Just cut it out of a single block!!
You should use a guide before you lose fingers but other than that kudos awesome project gonna try to make this myself
that's all I could think of while watching this
When you are expert you don't have too but What about the fact you can buy this crap for $2 bucks at dollar general.
@@mgtazco an expert would know that safety is always very important no matter how confident you are with power tools and blades

too good idea
Why the slits in the side? Functional or just decorative?
Joseph looks like hardwood flooring
Joseph yeah I wondered about it too, i thought they may be for cooling the phone while in charge or you could slide a picture in there , it w'll be cool
I think it's for sound from the bottom firing speakers
Probably from sanding because he chipped one of the corners and didn't want to leave the blemish.
I'm wondering the same?
This is like ASMR...
great project, but the only thing that you shouldn't have done was gluing the charging cable in there. The only reason I even say that is because they wear out over time.
What type of wood is on the bottom?
Amaizyn
just say.....wow...
For "Version 2.0", add a cooling fan to the back of the unit so that both phone and stand do not overheat! You may also wish to create an iPad version that builds a set of cooling fans AND a speaker system for all around sound. Just a thought du jour, yes?
Maybe screws in the base to change the cable?
Nice solid build, looks really slick once it's finished, what kind of wood did you use for this?

Nice
Super
Did not see the finish project enough
Watching this and hearing the dremel feels like I am at the dentist.
What is the bit you're using on your dremel called?
That's a Carving bit, they make a lot of them, but looks to bet the Cylinder one. woodcarvingillustrated.com/blog/2017/10/23/choosing-power-carving-bits/
Saludos
How did u get so fast with that file geez.
That cable is gonna go bad really quickly if it stays at that angle
👌
What did he applied at the last part of the video?
sealer of some type.... Most people I see use linseed oil.
👌👌🌹
nice

As much as I appreciate your video and work it's not DIY as most people do not have these type of tools

3:16 how to make fire lmao
Hahaha hilarious!!!!! Be quiet

If the cable get damage, boom. Destroy everything
Names the exposed cable can still get damaged dumbass
Hi!
Nice, but do we have to watch the whole video before understanding what the product is? Some viewers will always think you are just showing off your equipment. It looks nice.
No. You can skip to the end and see it. That is what the video controls are for. By the way, you realize that he built most of his own big tools? Why do you not do the same and construct something, instead of putting the guy down. If you dont like it, dont watch it.
Use four screws in the base instead of glue. That way if the cable gets damaged it can easily be replaced.
Good, but don't very good
Why so unnecessarily complicated ?
It isn't, it is a simple design. Maybe yours is better, lets see it?

Not everyone has all these tools
Most men have the hand tools. He built his big tools himself. Instead of being negative, why not do something useful, and make your own things, just as he has done.
