I always wonder why not make a simple blingblingless model with all the best AAAA woods and attention just focussed on sound. They sound great though:))
Agreed, but there is more profit in bling . I am very interested but if I had my "druthers" I would prefer premium quality mahogany backs and sides, AAAA Sitka top, ebony non bound fingerboard and a non pyramid standard style ebony bridge. Hold all the abalone and pearl. Tortoise binding top and back, black or tortoise back strip. No Eastman logo anywhere except the label inside the guitar. Bag the wimpy OM style pick-guard, either a full 00 style or none at all. The E40-00 sold in the Netherlands had no pick guard, a major improvement, class not style. Same string spacing at the saddle, same 1 13/16ths - 1 7/8ths nut. Same neck of one piece top quality mahogany. Excellent presentation, excellent playing, nice guitar.
Jon, you where saying this was a model where a couple where spilled out into the European market. This was certainly NOT the case. 😂 The Eastman E40-oo model is a very limited, kind of 'customshop model' which was spec-ed and ordered by 'The Fellowship Of Acoustics' in The Netherlands. Yes TFOA is based in Europe and they are a really big and beautiful guitar & luthier store, but this was by no means a European model. These 00-models are fire! Attention to detail is stunning on these ones too, though a little bit too much for my personal taste with all the shiny inlays. The built quality is exceptionally good, and very different compared to their E10parlor and E20parlor models. The E40-oo is really resonant, because it's built more delicate. Read: thinner tops/backs compared to the normal and overbuild E10parlor and E20parlor, which have really thick tops and backs. I wish they will build this model with a normal Spruce top or Alpine Spruce instead of Adirondack spruce. The positive thing about the Adirondack spruce tops is the high headroom. These won't crap out, if you play/strum them with a heavy hand. Which would be odd for a fingerpicking guitar, but hey...nice anyway. Keep up the good work. Music heals the soul! Best regards, Marco
This is a guitar I’ve wanted for a long time. 😍 It would be great to have a sunburst top too. It has the perfect amount of bling for me too! So cool! Thanks for sharing, guys!!
Beautiful little guitars! And they sound great, too. Continually impressed with Eastman. I'm guessing no pickup or you would have mentioned it. Also, would always like to see a close up of the tuning keys! Thanks for showing us.
I have serious guitar envy! I have been wanting to get my hands on a 12 fret 00 . I have two 12 frets now. It is a lot easier on old guys like me than the dreads and the 14 frets. Especially after running off a scaffolding 8 years ago.
Thanks for watching. These sell out quick but we have more on the way. If you're interested we'd recommend giving us a call to reserve oone. 417-720-1223
I love this type of guitar and own an all solid Sigma S00R-45VS which is fabulous but I think Eastman let the E40 down by not binding the headstock. The guitar has everything except that. I just don't understand not binding the headstock and with the torch it just looks wrong to me.

1"13/16ths?....🤦🏻♂️...come on guys get with the new world!!....its 46mm!! ...being from the UK I hate to say it but for measuring, the metric (French) system is far better than the "imperial system" as its commonly known here...and while we are at it here's one for your repair shop (Liz) did you know that JIS screws (Japanese Industry Standard) are different to Phillips screws? so if you repair any Japanese guitars especially the old ones be aware as Phillips drivers don't fit....anyway i digress great review on the Eastman Parlour they look and sound great....yes im still waiting on my Eastman E40OM-SB to hit these shores and we have the main port of Felixstowe closing for strike action for 8 days starting tomorrow ...at this rate i may get it next year....fingers crossed...🤞
It's a shame they only made 20 or so of those. I was looking for one a few years ago (maybe a year after you made this video) after watching Silly Moustache's review (see ruclips.net/video/NEoTLQL7AaE/видео.htmlsi=30dsiNgrHzvXNhB0). I ended up with an E10 OO mahogany that I got used on Reverb, which is a less refined guitar, but incredible sounding nonetheless. Tom White does a very nice review of the E10 OO.
I'm still wainting on the yodelling. I loved the intro...brought back a few memories.
Love that guitar sound! Thanks John and Jeremy!
Eastman knocking it out of the 'park again! Great demo, guys. Ta.

Indeed - even with a matte/satin finish? Tone by stealth... simple looks for studio-only work. 173rd desktop fan like.

Correct, no factory pickup.

nicely done guys
I just bought one of these (in australia)
I prefer the look of the 20, but this just sounded much more alive than the 20!
One thing about all that mando chop, Jeremy is dead on time!
But you guys make ‘em all sound great!
Sounds great. What is the scale length of this guitar?
24.9" 👍

Were is the buzz now?all those people complained in the last video what do you say now.
Kuros for those beautiful guitars.
guitar is definitely setup low for fingerpicking, but there is major buzzing when he is picking it, especially in the intro, but also in the solo
@@jonathoncliffbailey is always an expert.
Pretty exclusive item with only 20 in the world, I have to ask how much does it cost? Can you talk about pricing?
Yea
The E40-OM version is $2600, so probably similarly priced. But I can't find it on their site.
Me neither
@@sustainablelife1st That seems low to me I thought the 20-00 was around $2000 and this seems much more exclusive

I'm a Brit: imperial measurements all the way please. Metric is meaningless to most Brits and all Americans
Really tinny🙉
Those look like the Traditional Parlor Series rather than the OO series......

Eastman missed a trick by not making this model top of their range of 12 fret acoustics.
Hsienmo guitar is a better buy
quit talking and play
