Bc she left him and he could not move on from the fact that she left him. He still loves, dreams, and yearns for her to come back. When they go to that Korean Store he realizes she's not there. The poem in the book when he accidentally drops, reminds him of the days they were together and also the fact that she left him. The next day he again goes to the airport to pick her up which is his illusion just like he went to pick her up in the beginning of the MV. So he has still not moved on. It's his illusion.
