I have been looking at videos like this for the last 3 years... knowing I would do this some day... I "Flip" RVs... and finishing up my last 3 in the next 3 weeks... This is my Number 16th and 17th RV and since I'm 68... I hope my last ones... (I doubt that after looking at this video ...LOL) BUT... What I wanted to say... is THIS Video is the very BEST out of all the hundreds I have watched in the last 3 years... LOVE this method... and the White and Gold is so Classy. Thank you for sharing this video and when I do the floors to my BIG RV in the next 3 weeks I'll let you know how it worked out...and the Countertops... and I also am doing the Shower... (long Story) but it can be done... tricky... but it can be done..
I absolutely love this look and want to replicate it on a dresser that I am using as storage/a TV stand in my living room!! This is the EXACT look I want! That rustoleum definitely POPS!
The gold streaks are so high quality, thanks for sharing! Love the editing how you added your conversation with her into the video, adds a nice personal touch 😂.
@@ArtistTillDeath Um Yes Please! I watched the video where y'all did, I think it was your sister's tabletop! Came out great! I'll check for the link to the pour with us
So sweet of you Lillian! Thank you so much! We are selling this piece for $50 since we have had her for so long and need more wall space. You are welcome to the piece if you like. shoot us an email at Thornton@ArtistTillDeath.com :)
This is the first video ive watched from you guys. I like the artistic touch that you guys do that I can incorporate into my business. Try adding clear epoxy in a syringe and drizzle it out on top of the gold after your done making your veins, and have allowed epoxy to set for about 40 min. It adds depth to each vein. Just be sure to clean the syringe when your done.
This is what I had in my mind and I found this Vidio of yours. In my head I was going to do it different but now I realy like how this turned out so Thank you for making this video Resly nice
@@ArtistTillDeath Such a beautiful result… I am looking to make a marble look jewellery tray and ring holder so thanks so much for sharing with us! I will just mention (& only because you asked this viewer if they had any questions) tho, that there are many comments where viewers have asked questions and there hasn’t been a reply as yet… I realise that, when you get so many comments/questions, it’s really hard to stay on top of replying, but I think it’s also really important to follow up with anyone who asks a specific question. I love the way you present this video (it’s the 1st of yours that I’ve seen) and you now have a new subscriber!! Thanks guys and, obviously you posted this video a long time ago, but I hope you did get the job! Keep up the awesome videos. ♥️♥️
Hi! What do you guys use to apply the raw spray paint? Is it the wooden end of a brush? I’ve been trying to find the right tool to add the gold spray paint with. Your pieces are always sooooo beautiful and the gold just adds the perfect touch! 😍
This is so stunning. 4 years ago?? How many countertops have you done now? Haha. I know I'd love one. I hope i can find the rustoleum spray you used. That was Beautiful.
Thank you so much sue! We have done quite a few at this point. Mostly commercial. Rustoleum metallic gold is the way to go (or mtn liquid gold - basically the same stuff without being a spray).
Another thing I love about this video is the WRITTEN words we CAN READ.. because I usually mute videos because of the background noise/music... It is hard to hear someone talk when there is unnecessary noise/music in the background. We just want to HEAR YOU Talk..
Go to www.stonecoatcountertops.com and get their "Art Coat" Resin. If you have $80 in your cart, use the code ATD and get $30 off. We us Stone coat countertops resin everyday.
Since you have your layer of white primer showing through, what technique did you use to apply the primer that did not leave brush strokes or any texture?
Love that Rust-oleum gold. I think you got a "happy accident" tho, cause it laying on top of the other gold just gave it more depth/dimension which only highlighted it more. Love it! Thanks
So how does resin taste? I love walking into my art studio with the smell of resin lingering but have not tried eating it yet. Love it, heading straight into my studio to rock some spray paint. Thanks again for sharing :)
Very nice, one question though,is the white paint water based as the rustoliun is oil so the two cannot mix,new to this so hope my question is not stupid.
Hello David, no question is stupid and we are only too happy to help. I don't know if the rustoleum is completely oil based - but it usually works the best for us. Yes, the white paint is an acrylic. Technically I am not mixing the two together - i'm mixing each with resin (separately) and the resin kind of acts as a barrier between the two. I don't know if that makes sense, but I can go into further detail if you like :)
Hi (: so I’ve been wanting to make resin rolling trays or jewelry trays ! I love the marble look and you did a GREAT JOB ! What products did you use again? I would love to recreate this !!
Your work is beautiful!😍 I've seen other methods where a feather is used for veining. Do you think the effect can be achieved by placing the darker color on the feather and moving it through the resin, or by adding the paint to the piece first and then using the feather to fan the paint out? Thank you, and thanks for the video!
biner59 thank you so much!! We have used a few different brands but this one seems to work the best. Also, most of our products are indoors and out of direct sunlight so it’s chances of yellowing is greatly diminished. Additionally, we use a lot if pigments so if it does “yellow” it wouldn’t be evident anyways.
I tried some gold rust-oleum (straight outta the can no resin in cup) and it sorta blew around like gold leaf, rather than flowing...think that was related to cold?
I got a question. Can we use the shimmer from any cosmetics? I mean I decide to scratch some powder from it and take it mix with resin. 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Thanks 🙏🏼
I actually just watched a video where someone used dollar store eyeshadow to do it. The colors were prominent. I think the channel was Thrifty Resinista

This is absolutely amazing I love your color choices the gold looks like ribbons of smoke I love it
You could tape over your roller with some plastic tape or painters tape., so the epoxy doesn’t soak in.
Beautiful job… love the clear resin and white resin concept I must try
I love how you show the product you use its the most exciting love your work
Upscale for sure! Love it!

It's amazing how the gold sits on top of the resin. So cool. Thank you for sharing
Another beautiful success! I love how y’all don’t waste a bunch of paint dripping off the sides.
We didn’t lose much on this test piece but the actual countertops have a long front and sides of the bar so we will need it to roll over.
Always love the marble work

They use feathers. Gotta be some use for all those plucked chickens we consume.
Gold feathered veins.
I tried some gold rust-oleum (straight outta the can no resin in cup) and it sorta blew around like gold leaf, rather than flowing...think that was related to cold?
Laura L . Rosado was it kind of chunky/gritty?
Artist Till Death OH YEAS! Maybe I didn’t shake it well enough?
The cold does a real number on spray paints - they must be shaken really well to activate and mix everything in the can (particularly with metallics).
Artist Till Death yeah it was about 20 degrees that day. Never worked with spray paint before but your channel has gotten me excited to use them.
They are such a versatile type of paint that many people don't think can create beautiful art.
Which Rustoleum gold spray paint did you use and where to buy it? Thx.
You can buy it at any hardware store and it is
Rustoleum Metallic Gold.
Can you please share the brand of white paint you use. Mine chunks up on me everytime. Thank you
Very beautiful, God bless

Yes, the shimmer is from mica. Mica is what many of us use as an option to colour our resin.
Can I use the same way on my kichen Countertop?
use copper accents in the bends to give depth.
Wow 😍
amazing thank u
I really appreciate that
Is that just cheap acrylic white paint
