Enjoyed this... but just realised I'm watching in reverse order. You've got Travels With Boogie! One of my fave books for 30 years. Great vid - informative and fun.
Was a great series, love watching a long thru hike. Ending on a gear review vid gives us all an idea what to save up for and where not to waste money. Thanks for all the great videos and a cool club to be part of.
Never boring, always cool dude. Even for a man of your walking experience, it shows there is always something new to learn when buying equipment and the failings of some of it. A bit of coastal wild camping could be on the cards, if B&B prices keep going up like that.
It's unbelievable that you can get a plane to Tunisia for a little more than a train to Norfolk. People missing out on seeing this wonderful country just because it more expensive to go for a stroll 100 miles down the road from where they live than it is to see the other side of the planet.
Not boring! Good guide, review and overview - from head to tail too! Most RUclipsrs would drag that out into a series of review/unboxing videos and you gave the full outfit and the perks and pitfalls. I hope you do a xmas gift guide recommendation video. :)
Luv a good gear review! I try justify my walking trip expenses by what I got out of it. If it’s been a brilliant trip then that’s priceless. Really enjoy your vids😁
Thanks cool dude. I am really geeky when it comes to gear and value and how much I use it. I literally keep a price per wear/use tally (it is all on the website under the gear), where I keep a tally of how many days I use something for and divide the price by that. I hope it is useful to people buying kit. I love my headtorch, my hat and the sit mat.
Really appreciate this video! Some nice bits of kit there, and I like the transparency on the costs. At least you didn't have to spend a load of money entertaining yourself during the day, as the wonderful Norfolk coast could keep you entertained.
Yes it was a pretty expensive trip, but I suppose I count them as my summer holiday. I could have cut costs by camping, but the lighter bag and good nights sleep made the trip much more enjoyable. Not forgetting a hot bath after a days walking. An essential.
Very informative and useful info. I agree with you on the Osprey rucksacks, I have never had achy shoulders from wearing those rucksacks and they are made of really good material. I personally have the Stratos ones which have the integrated raincover in a small pocket. BTW, can you let your Nan know that I only have half of the money for a new Ferrari if she wants to help out? :)
My Nan says unfortunately her pension doesn't cover Ferraris. My only gripe with Osprey is I don't like the logo or their colour selection a lot of the time.
Hi Marek, I'm wanting to buy a set of the Walking Poles for my partner Lizzie (Cool Dude 610), but the affiliate link goes to the sitting mat thingy, looks like a typo to me... Happy to wait a wee while while you correct it. Cheers and as always Stay Cool, all the very best Steve.
I feel bad about asking for money all the time anyway. I will just use my current camera. Hopefully if I get more people to join the RUclips monthly subscriptions that will pay for more trips. Thank you very much for joining by the way.
I'd choose a go pro over an osmo any day. Osmo have built in batteries so when the thing dies you have to charge the whole camera. Go pro you just swap the battery over. Plus go pro is so much more fun to use. My mate bought an osmo to show off. He used it twice before he went back to his go pro. Gonna stop saying go pro franko
As a fashion designer may I suggest in the future you buy all black gear. All black, no colour. It will suit your skin tones, it’s very sliming and an added benefit is you will look a little more like a Bushranger. Black gear adds 5-10% sex appeal to hikers. Lime green reduces sex appeal by 34.5%.
I'm the same age as you and I haven't had a Nan knocking about for over 30 years. Very impressed by your Nan's life skills!
She is just clinging on.

Travels with Boogie is fantastic. I am surprised it has not met with more acclaim.

Let me know if you have any questions about stuff cool dude.

Yes I have resigned myself to the fact that I might have to dig my tent out again as a long stretch in B&B's is too expensive.
I like these gear videos when they round off a series. Nice one cool dude #1
Thanks cool dude. I always spent hours going through youtube trying to find reviews of things, so thought it might be useful.
Those clip on microphones are amazing and nice phone navigation app too cool dude...
The navigation app is great.

Yes the prices are so crazy in the UK. Even Air BnB's have gone through the roof.
👍
Glad your purple poles are still going strong 😊
They have been working well. Thank you very much cool dude.

Cheers for the informative vid cool dude
Ooo, is that a set of Wainwright Guides I spot behind you? Are you planning a Lake District walk?
Yes, they are beautiful. I also have his Coast to Coast one. That is probably top of my list of things to do.

@@cdwc Yeah, I think you struck a nice balance. A great series to watch

Far from boring! Peggy was making a wish list 🤣
You should do an updated version of your gear.
Yes in the winter maybe. Although most of it is the same.
£70 travel. Not bad when you consider that the IOW ferry is 30 quid return (ouch), as I found out last weekend.
You can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers which triple in value on Wightlink, so £10 in vouchers pretty much pays for it. .This is my top tip.
Great info and good advice. I am impressed that you got all this gear into a 33 l bag 🤘 Ane I too love the Trailblazer guides! 🤩
The stretchy pocket on the front definitely helps take more gear, and my bum bag also has a lot of space. Osprey do make excellent bags.
@@cdwc Aha, I understand now. Yes, Osprey do make excellent bags. I have a couple of them myself, and also a Gregory :-)

Thanks cool dude, much appreciated. Should be working now. All the gear links are also on the website. cooldudeswalkingclub.com/my-walking-gear/.
You tempted to do a go fund me or kickstarter to pay for a go pro and a special trip?
I feel bad about asking for money all the time anyway. I will just use my current camera. Hopefully if I get more people to join the RUclips monthly subscriptions that will pay for more trips. Thank you very much for joining by the way.
What's the vaseline for?
Ha. It is for my feet. If you cover them with vaseline it helps prevent blisters.
@@cdwcah, right, that's good advice. Thanks, cool dude.

This is good advice cool dude. What do you and Jag use to shoot your videos?
Sometimes life IS boring, not this video though. I enjoyed it, might have to splash out on one of those bags.
I love the Osprey bags. The stretchy pocket at the front is genius. It adds about five litres of storage I reckon.

I am trying to look like the opposite of a Bushranger. A pale egg.
@@cdwc but the opposite of an egg is a mammal birth…. If the opposite of a bushranger is an egg I’m so confused…
Multiple bags within bags…
I expect this was almost your favourite video.
