Hey guys, the view of all the different colors was worth the trouble to get there. I am so glad your car issues occurred early in the day so you could make adjustments. The altitude is no joke there! Overall another great adventure I enjoyed watching 😁
Yes indeed we did, you’re right at least it wasn’t meat. Thankfully our Spanish has improved a lot since filming this. Now it’s actually hard to believe we ever didn’t know what choclo y queso meant 😅 you live you learn!
cheers guys stunning landscapes ill fly next September for a short trip to argentina only buenos aires and Bariloche ,but next year jujuy and salta i went to other places in the past like Iguazu, cordoba, santa fe chaco san luis went in different seasons to Bariloche as well ,neuquen and par of la pampa ,i promise my wife that we will fly every year to argentina in order to see more ill use your videos as a guide fortunately i speak Argentinian Spanish so will be easy to talk to people greetings from the Upper Galilee israel Harry
Wow, what a cool promise to make, speaking Argentinian Spanish would’ve been so helpful but we did have some laughs figuring things out 😅 enjoy your trip to BA and Bariloche, we’re so happy to know our videos help you with planning, feel free to drop us a message anytime.
Gooodness, they really love closing roads in Argenina. You guys have had to deal with so many delays. But wow, those multi-colored mountains are stunning. Loving the view! We sympathize with your altitude troubles. We're in Quito Ecuador currently and definitely experiencing some altitude trouble ourselves. We are huffing and puffing everywhere we go. It's so humbling!
Yes they do like to catch us out on these roads! 😅 You’re right it’s very humbling altitude is no joke, Quito is pretty high too! Although, just wait until you get to La Paz in Bolivia! 😮💨
Ah pity you had the issues with the car & got delayed, when your time is limited. Still the places you visited were worth it & those beautiful mountains - SO colourful & incredible shapes - beautiful. You sounded like a couple of 'oldies'!!! Altitude must be bad, plus the cold - you must have been glad to get back in the car!! Taverna looked great & such wholesome food! Fab.
That's too bad about the car troubles. I was actually wondering in your last video if you had any issues or what you would do if you did out there on those remote roads. I love that little town - it's so charming. What a journey you went on to get there. The 14 coloured mountain looked so beautiful! I don't think I've been anywhere where I've had altitude problems... but one day I hope to go to Peru and I think I will there...
Great video! We are in Buenos Aires now and looking at heading north in 2 weeks to salta. (Beginning of August) What time of year did you take this trip please to the mountains please? We were planning on going south from ba but have realised we’ve messed up our timing for the weather 😂 Thanks. Andy
Loving your videos of Northern Argentina! If you had to choose one road trip from Salta, would you go south the Cafayate, or north to the Jujuy Region?
Thank you, glad you like them. That's a really difficult question, Both places are incredible the scenery of both is mind blowing and unlike anything else we have seen. To help with the decision I guess if you struggle with high altitude then heading to Cafayate instead may be better as you get all this incredible scenery along the way there and back with the two routes without worrying about altitude sickness. It's a tough call as the Jujuy region desert towns and scenery are so awesome too. Whichever you decide you'll have an awesome time, enjoy!
Hola Tide Knot travellers !
Great video. We plan to rent a sedan for 7 days trip in Salta, what do you recommend the places to visit in addition to 14 colors mountains and Salt Grande?
That’s a great plan to start with. Maybe give yourselves 2/3 days to see that region and then another 2/3 days to see drive along ruta 40 to Cachi, Cafayate (stop off at the flechas on the way) and then do ruta 68 which is a day in itself. We have a video on each of them, enjoy, it’s an incredible area to explore!
Choclo or humita is how much of southern south America calls corn or corn stuffed food Like when you see places selling humitas they're actually selling tamales
Thanks so much for watching you lovely people!😊

Nice video, great places! And you ordered "choclo y queso" and that's what you got... At least it was a vegetarian!
Yes indeed we did, you’re right at least it wasn’t meat. Thankfully our Spanish has improved a lot since filming this. Now it’s actually hard to believe we ever didn’t know what choclo y queso meant 😅 you live you learn!

¡Teníamos muchas ganas de hacer esto, pero era lo único que no podíamos encajar la próxima vez!
Thanks guys, I went to tilcara many years ago and you brought back a few memories
It’s such a magical little place, we were so drawn by it we had to go back and spend the night! We’re glad to bring back happy memories ☺️

From this day on we learnt not to confuse choclo with chocolate 😂 corn & cheese or choclo & queso as we now realise was very tasty!
We don't say "car park", "to hire a car" and "flat battery" in the US :)
Parking lot? Rent a car? No idea about the third one! 😂
Dead battery 😉
jaja choclo (corn) not chocolate.
We won’t be making that mistake again 😂
