Today God has showed grace to you who might be depressed, empty, are being hated or hates, or maybe you don’t receive genuine love this is even for you who enjoys or is comfortable with his current life, whoever you who is reading this is know that God is calling you to give you a future and a hope in this life and in the eternal life, trust him because he loves you so much that is beyond understanding and the time is short.
After you finish reading this message you might die or Jesus might return, so be ready and follow him, for today he stretched his hand to you because he loves you and cares for you and he doesn’t want you to go to hell, so please go to him, it will be hard because living for God means denying yourself and the things that you might like but will be the best decision you will make in your entire existence and I promise you it will be worth more than any of the things that you don’t want to let go of, please make the right choice, because today God has stretched his hand to you who he loves so much that he even died for knowing all the bad things you have done, that is how much love he has and will always have for you.

You need to think more about choosing clips that require less context in the future. The Luffy punching the celestial dragon and Gohan powering up only have the weight that makes them iconic scenes because of the build up and context.

Exactly. Luffy punching Saint Charlos was built by establishing Charlos as an asshole prior to the punch & him shooting Hachi, which made it a very satisfying punch.

I mean it’s definitely true lol, and even subtitles are by no means truly representative of what’s going on. Japanese does not often translate well to English, so there’s a lot of English speakers making choices on what to translate for ease of understanding.
If you were to learn Japanese and listen to the true Japanese language while reading the Subtitles, it will often misalign greatly

The choice of clips was….interesting. They mainly showcases fights/dark moments when there are so many lighthearted or beautiful scenery moments otherwise (plus they were further into the shows). New anime (even movies - like Your Name) have jaw dropping visuals and beautiful relational moments to showcase. Hopefully there will be more variety in the future since it was fun to see their reactions.
I agree some of the choices are random or dumb but its hard to pick one perfect 15-20s scene from anime to show and for everyone that scene could be something different and even the best scenes could look random or dumb if you never saw a show. ( Like Gon rage or Android 16 death )
@@Normadus I would honestly just go with an episode from the first or last season of a show. The beginning episodes are supposed to hook you and can look good since they want it to look good (to help the hooking). Or the last season because the show knows it’s vibe by then and it probably has a better budget.
P.s I just started One Piece so I don’t know the shows overall vibe but the clip they chose was not reflective of the shows energy so far - that I’ve seen. It’s super fun, colourful, and has interesting characters to showcase with interesting powers that are easy to spot.

And yeah if you just started op it's a colorful fun show the start is "rough" for some while for me it was good it was goofy and serious when it needed to be

I get that it's a joke in the episode because it's not like the Elders are actually going to get into anime, but this highlights such an actual issue of why so many people just don't like it/won't give it a chance.
You can't just take a completely random scene and give it to someone with no context and be like "look how cool this is" when they have no idea what they're looking at. The One Piece and Naruto scenes in particular are the most egrigious though by a landslide. Someone literally just pulled clips that they thought were neat but have absolutely no way of getting people interested in the series. They don't even give any indication what the series is like. One Piece, a story about it's story telling, humor, and being about PIRATES has none of that made apparent in the clip.
I know about both One Piece and Naruto, but I never actually watched either show, so I don't really know what's going on. I've read a couple of very early chapters of both manga, so I know the characters and the premises of both series, but that's really all I know.

man i'm just sad, the one piece scene they showed is one of the more impactful, dark and emotional, and important scenes in the whole story and because the people that reacted don't have a context they don't know how extremely satisfying and amazing but also emotional and big of a meaning this punch was. one piece is known for its style and humour, true but it's also known for how much of societal and real life issues of societies/politics/history it portrays. so no hate but if you say its known for its humour it's not fitting to show this scene and if you want to portray how one piece deals with dark, serious and sad topics like it did in this scene or in the context of the fishmen then it has to be shown within the whole context.

If I was going to show them Naruto, I would have used clips from the first season so they could better grasp the characters and story. Showing them Shippuden was a little to far in the deep end. The fight between Narutos' squad and Zabuza to protect the bridge builder would have been perfect. You introduce several main characters (Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kekashi sensei), the fight choreography is good, and the use of Jutsu and chakra is well executed and well explained.

There's 1000 episodes of One Piece and you showed a dark dreary scene. Damn, what a let down.
If they wanted to show them a scene that's more on the serious side they could have chosen Usopp's speech to Luffy in Eines Lobby or when Luffy lost the crew at Shabondy or when Zoro took a stand against Kuma or when the 3 captains are fighting the marines at the human shop. Those scenes while they require context they are easy to explain in just a few sentences while with the scene they choose they need to explain who the celestial dragons are and why Luffy is so angry which is not easy.
@@az639 not even serious. They described it as a comedy drama. How easy it would've been to show a fun moment from any arc? My favourite is Thriller Bark but every arc has fun, funny, nice moments they could've showcased

Y'all gotta keep in mind that the people from REACT who chose these scenes probably haven't seen the entirety of these anime, especially one piece. Anime is nowhere near being the main subject on this channel, so they have no reason to watch them all. Therefore, it's not their fault for choosing scenes you don't like. For future reference, I would advise REACT to seek help from people who have seen these anime, so that they get better scenes in the future.

Really the only explanation you got for One Piece is that it’s famous for it’s humour ??? You could do better than that….Like the fact that the manga sold more copies than any american comic book except Superman and it’s a great adventure with incredible worldbuilding.
