OG not even a top 50 defender this season statistically, he has been horrendous on the defensive end, they payed this guy like he is a superstar and he nothing but a glorified role player. He was supposed to be this great D guy when the Knicks got him and aside from a few good offensive outings he has been downright awful for what the Knicks gave up and payed him.
I can't get there just because he was so exceptionally good the first 17 games, and his defense, even when it's "down" is better or at least comparable to Bridges' at its best.
@@kingzhibrhanfabrizio1759 What stat are you using? Don't think the all-in one defensive metrics have been perfected yet. He's def not as good as he was last year, but calling him terrible (on the whole not that he hasn't had bad nights) means you're not watching the games
It does take some time for team chemistry Starters play too many minutes Can’t expect OG, Bridges to keep up energy playing that many minutes This team will remain at 3 , Thibs won’t play the bench enough , regardless of the vets or rookies u have to play guys to see what they can offer.
Og is playing out of position, hes not a 4 and him playing there is killing the perimeter defense because bridges cant defend anymore like he could in pheonix, the starting lineup is flawed, and its been obvious all year

Unpopular take, but OG has been a bigger disappointment than Bridges, factoring contract and poor 3 PT shooting.

@ Good point. I’ll just add OG’s 3 PT% is rapidly regressing. Nov - 39.6% Dec - 31.8% to Jan - 29.7%. Hoping he turns it around soon.
