  • The wind howls like a wild beast, roaring over the peaks of the Northern Cheviots, and the two of us-me and Brian-are perched on the side of Yeavering Bell, a hill steeped in ancient history. At the summit, the wind isn’t just a breeze; it’s a force of nature, reaching a fierce 56.6mph, gusting so hard we’re nearly knocked off our feet. But we’re not deterred.
Our trusty Hilleberg Soulo tents, solid as rock and defying the elements, stand tall against the battering wind. The green fabric flutters and snaps like a flag in a storm, but it holds fast. Inside, it’s a different world-sheltered, warm, and a far cry from the chaos outside. We’ve got the essentials: a brew, biscuits, and the camaraderie that comes with being out here, pushing the limits together.
