You have to understand the timing of this song. It was recorded in August 1996 and released in February 1997. Exactly 5 months after Pac passed away in the hospital. People were hurting, and for a legend like Scarface to have this flawless track available for the world, it was like a breath for Pac fans.
Exactly you had to be into rap at that time to understand what you just said most wouldn't understand also imagine Orlando Anderson watching this in 97 at home crazy

If you listen to the Makaveli songs and songs like this (recorded so close to his death), Pac was still growing so much with his writing and lyrics. We missed out on so much, as did he of course. Appreciate what he did while he was here, but damn. He had so much more to say.
That time, that year on Deathrow, in Tupac’s life is so interesting. I wish there was a well-done show about it. Everyone keeps messing up with the movies about him.
There is a interview where scarface mentioned 2pac got mad a him for taking to long to write his verse. They laughed about it later. 2pac knew his time was limited and he had a urgency to record as much music as possible Everyone knew his work ethic was unmatched
My personal opinion is that there really isn't any line that Tupac has said that I'm like "eh that was ok". On the contrary, it's just like you said, every line of every verse he's laid is just incredible. He keeps you captured with all his words and bleeding his emotions through his soulful lyrics.
But ultimately that's what we do in life everything you hear everyday is something you heard before is just that you hear it on different angle nothing you say to anyone is new
This song came out right after Tupac had passed away and man this hit me hard because I was watching the video and it had a a Tupac look a like on a cross I remember tearing up damn near crying because of the verses on the track man it was powerful almost like he knew and these were his last words to his fan damn bro now I got goosebumps

"Smile" is a remix of the 2Pac song "Smile For Me Now", which was produced by 2Pac and Damon Thomas and was released prior on the Death Row Records compilation album, Death Row Greatest Hits.[1] "Smile" was produced by Scarface, Mike Dean and Tone Capone. The song became Scarface's most successful single to date, making it to number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

So, this was a 2Pac song. This version is the remix produced by Scarface, Mike Dean and Tone Capone and featuring Johnny P on vocals, that was released on Scarface's album "The Untouchable". The original version which is produced by Damon Thomas of the R&B/pop production duo The Underdogs and is titled "Smile for Me Now" and features a group called 816 on the hook was released on the Death Row Records compilation "Death Row Greatest Hits." (The lyrics on both versions are the same and both versions feature Scarface)
You can feel the pain of loss of 2Pac in Scarface's voice... THE PRAYER AT THE END... Top five in legendary moments! And now a moment of silence, let us pray And as you journey into outerspace May the angels help to lead the way May the prayers that our families made Shine up on your soul to keep you safe And all the homies that done passed away They there to greet you as you pass the gates And as you headed to the tunnel's light I hope it leads to eternal life....
Patience is key. Requested this a while back. I was hoping you would react with the video, but it’s all about the music and lyrics. Imagine where pacs mentality would be now if he was still alive. I feel like pac was on a mission to change his emotions and surroundings in a more mature manner. This man was taking advantage of mostly all his life, as he was changing and maturing. His haters were afraid of the power and patience he was accumulating. A mature pac is a threat to anyone who hated and envied him. This song is one of his last songs. Scarface is a living reflection of pac. One of the best to still do it!

IDK if you've seen one or both but both are worth a watch (or reaction?)
"Our lifestyles be close-captioned, addicted to fatal attractions
Pictures of actions be played back in the midst of mashin'"
This is one of my favorite songs of his (I have so many🤣). I cried more tears when this came out as I had already cried my eyes out when Pac died; never even met the man but through his music I felt like I knew him. I just was able to relate to so much of what he wrote. Scarface is also a legend and if you get a chance you should check out some of his stuff, especially his group "Geto Boyz"; but as you said this is "Makaveli Mondays" 🤣🤣! Also Pac has an actual song called "Fuck All Y'all", it's an epic tale of how people think they have friends but they really don't!!
One remix that it is very interesting to see is Army all by myself with the legends Jay Rock, Nipsey Hussle and Tupac.
They write what they feel, 2PAC felt what he wrote.#Bars
this is why I pay my wifi bill to listen and learn....
One of my all time favorite Pac songs ❤️ such a motivational track .Plus scarface🙌 When I was a teenager I used to play this a lot when I was down. Just thinking about how much pacs music got me through those years. I always remember thinking he was telling me to smile at that moment and it would get me through whatever I was going through. Can't wait for the video reaction as well 🙏
I can now get how much of an influence pacs music can have as even to me im like wooooah! So to people living or feeling that daily is next level amazing!
@@brainsqueezereactions yea and you doing Pac reactions reminded me of how much I love Pac and how much his music got me through some of my hardest times.
This track was supposed to be on the one nation album 🔥
There is an unreleased version of this song that is in the vault that has an unheard 2pac verse😳
