Wondae left DKZ because of a serious shoulder injury, Munik is hiatus (but has been slowly showing signs of coming back), and three new members have been added to the group (Sehyeon, Mingyu, and Giseok). Jonghyeong (the former maknae) is now the leader of the group since Wondae left, and Giseok is now the maknae.
I loved the ILY:1 debut! The bside is also excellent! It makes me so happy to see more GP999 girls debuting, especially Ririka who I've followed since Nizi Project as well. I know the sound isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's still so different than most debuts right now, and I love that about it. It's so bright and fun!
ILY:1 are just bringing the early 3rd Gen vibes I've been missing (early GFriend & Oh My Girl). Also since it's been a min since tropical house I'm so happy to hear it again (as you said it was popular in 2017/18. To me the MV is a bit lacking (understand it's on a limit budget so its pretty good in that regard) but the title track and b-side are perfection. Their company gave them such good songs and has been promoting them well. It's also incredibly refreshing to see a debut Girl Group doing a bright concept. Can't wait to see what they come up w/ as a follow up. And as someone who voted for Ririka throughout GP999 I'm so happy to see her debut. Happy for Hana, Rona & Ara as well.

There's always hope to having more music from all of them, but we know this one is enough to know their feelings. And since you pointed out not them being together in one single frame, there are a lot of theories, but mostly they're going their own way for the time being and saying goodbye to their youth.

hey Kaia i don't know if you'll have the time, but whenever you do your next Kpop Catch-up i wanna recommend *NINE.i's* debut "Parallel Universe", they're a new boygroup and what really stood out to me (besides the amazing songs) is the fact one of the members, Vahn, participated in composing and writing lyrics for ALL the songs from their mini album, including the title track. another member participated in some songs too it's so crazy cause they're so young and talented

ILY:1's debut is just what i wanted for these girls and is probably my 2nd favorite release of the year behind Chebul's Love in Space.
