- This time around I test out the 400 treadwear Achilles 2233 vs the 500 treadwear Lexani LX UHP 207! What could go wrong? How many laps did they get? Which one really really sucked? Watch and find out if these two cheap drift tires have what it takes.
I swear the Achilles sport 1 vs sport 2 battle is coming! ( i got sent the wrong size tires again!)
I buy all the tires I test here so I can have an unbiased opinion and test accordingly.

Currently use these exact Lexani model (245/45/17) on my non-daily ‘00 Mustang GT and I have no complaints on them. They’re not as grippy as I’d like in the rear though as my back end does spin out in 1st gear a significant amount during pulls, but good tires that I’m sure will last me a really long time. Badass video though.

Try the GT chapireo UHP AS I'm curious about those, many people have said they are good. Could u test as well the Achilles Streethawk UHP.. And which is a better performer of the 2
Try the lexani lx twenty next time. I'm curious to see how they hold up.
What about Atlas? I have the Lexani and Atlas in front of me atm (long story). 265/35/18. Waiting for the others to show up. They look very much alike aside from tread pattern and the Atlas is like 5mm wider and weighs a pound more. Both mfg in Tailand.

Try out the ohtsu fp7000, they have a good bit of grip for low hp cars.
Can't wait to see the next test.
Would you recommend the lexani as daily tires and for couple pulls here and there if you know what I mean 😆?
They would be great for daily driver tires!
I'd like to see a set of Cosmo's Mucho Macho tires get tortured. Their grip seems good to me, but how many laps?.....hmmmm.

I had just bought the Laxani tires for my car. Are you saying they’re not good at all or were you using drifting as a demonstration of tire wear?
Mostly just as a drift tire, as a daily they would be fine!

Any of the tires ive tested would make great daily tires. Its just hard to ask a cheap tire to drift lol

Really no such thing as a great drift tire. No brand dedicates time money and science to "drift" so you need this test just to find one "good" enough
Actually quite a few companies have drift specific compounds or flavors of tire. Hankook was one of them. They were constantly tweaking the mix to get the most they could out of them specifically for drifting. Valino is another tire that had drift guys in mind, they actually added tread depth to make tires last longer. Recently kenda released a 255/40/18 just so guys could run their tires in pro am to be in the same size for pro 2. The only bad part is most of those tires are pretty expensive. That's why I test the cheap ones.
I'm cant believe more companies dont have drift specific compounds. Drifters buy and use more tires in a year than more people do in 10-15+ years. We are their cash cow.
