I love listening to you Gettysburg professionals. Great job. Carol has amazing stories she speaks so softly and peacefully it sounds so respectfully when she speaks of the soldiers. I could listen to her all day and not say a word ☺️
This is awesome! I became interested in history as a kid becuase a teacher of mine would bring the past alive in his classroom. That being said I like the enthusiasm. Keep making these videos!
My 2nd great grandfather, Milton Lawhead, fought with the 149th PA Bucktails on the first day of the Gettysburg Battle at this sight. He actually lived through all three days without getting wounded or killed. He named his first born son Roy Stone Lawhead and I remember him...
Gary, I think that triple-espresso you had that earlier morning was bogging you down from your normal level of exuberance. Might wanna just with go with just a single one next time, dude!
The tiniest of nits, but there's something on your lens, upper right, a brown dot that I've tried to clean off my screen twice across two separate videos. Good idea to clean the lens. Great show! I love this kind of thing, your enthusiasm lifts me up.
If you feel someone’s talking too fast just set the playback speed to 75%. The pitch and tone remains the same. It’s a pleasing solution especially as you get to linger a little more on the story and enjoy the views. As it happens I always do it with Ben Shapiro’s channel. Makes him sound normal!
I agree ..... Gary is a great Professional Civil War Historian....BUT he does speak at a rapid clip that makes it hard to digest the content...a softer flow would be greatly appreciated...
Frank R. Pilot I think that may be more likely to be the First Battle of Bull Run where people actually took picnics etc out to watch the first main battle of the war but there could have been onlookers at Gettysburg too though i find it less likely....hope this helps!!
Good job guys. For some reason when listening to you I have the urge to dial a number and order a new diamond bracelet, genuine pewter figurine of a kitty cat, or perhaps a ShamWow since each will be at the low,low price of 19.95 for the next hour only!!!
These videos are always great and the expertise is impressive. Unfortunately the manic ministrations by Garry Adelman makes me nuts! Settle down please!
I'm sorry, folk, but come on..No end in sight?..Vicksburg, the south's Gibraltar on the Mississippi had just fallen. The only reason Robert E Lee invaded was because he was desperate
Could you please tell the Gettysburg Tour Guide that the word is CAValry, not CALvary. Cavalry are armed horsemen, Calvary is where Jesus was crucufied. In presenting history, one should at least try to sound professional.
Just imagine that in the year of 1863 being a civilian just walking on field and the Confederate army had it got here yet and the union army have it got here yet as well and the next thing you is filed and drums going off you here men shouting out commands and next you here come the entire Confederate army is you are saying what the HEACK are they doing here next thing you you here files and drums going off and you turn to your other side and you see the entire union army is there and the only thing going through your mind is what the HEACK is going on here and the only thing here cannons going off muskets going off and your looking to both directions and you right in the middle of a dang on fire fight and you know you only have a little bit of time to make it like a tree and get the HEACK out of DOGE like drop everything you have and run for your life
Good grief. The worst casualties of the Civil War occurred at Gettysburg, and these guys sound pumped up like they're announcing the Kentucky Derby instead of treating it with at least a modicum of dignity. I expected better of ABT based on some of their other videos. I can't bear to sit through this one.
I just stumbled upon this channel and now I'm hooked. Binge-watching. Action packed, information-packed. Bravo.
Glad to hear Cary. Please give us a subscribe and check out our In4 and War Department playlists as well!
VERY INFORMATIVE and the energy of these guys was great.
Love hearing the stories of the men.
I love listening to you Gettysburg professionals. Great job. Carol has amazing stories she speaks so softly and peacefully it sounds so respectfully when she speaks of the soldiers. I could listen to her all day and not say a word ☺️
Garry is the best!! His knowledge and enthusiasm is terrific..It's great to know that someone is keeping history alive and interesting!!
Greetings from Las Vegas and the ‘Battleborn’ state!
Awesome guys!!
This is awesome! I became interested in history as a kid becuase a teacher of mine would bring the past alive in his classroom. That being said I like the enthusiasm. Keep making these videos!
There is endless minutiae - and I love it all!
My 2nd great grandfather, Milton Lawhead, fought with the 149th PA Bucktails on the first day of the Gettysburg Battle at this sight. He actually lived through all three days without getting wounded or killed. He named his first born son Roy Stone Lawhead and I remember him...
This is awsome garry!
Awesome video!!👍👍👍🇺🇸❤
How about doing one of your shows about the battle of Athens, Tenn. on August 1-2, 1946.
you guys are awesome....Thank you
Love the energy fellas!
Gary, I think that triple-espresso you had that earlier morning was bogging you down from your normal level of exuberance. Might wanna just with go with just a single one next time, dude!
Awesome video guys. Looks like I'm out to watch the rest of them. Thanks!
Love the anecdotes.
The tiniest of nits, but there's something on your lens, upper right, a brown dot that I've tried to clean off my screen twice across two separate videos. Good idea to clean the lens. Great show! I love this kind of thing, your enthusiasm lifts me up.
W.V. Charleston thank you for doing these from civil war geek
Garry back in the day - without a hat!
I know Gary takes a lot of flack but he sure knows his stuff! Keep it up Gary!
thanks
Hey, Jared Frederick is my history professor!
You guys rock!
Be nice if they could reconstruct those buildings.
Garry Pay no attention to the people who say you talk too fast. They dont appreciate your energy.
he talks too fast, the enthusiasm is great, but man slow it down so we can follow it
They are all talking fast. It's very exciting. Wish I could talk that fast and well.
@@monumentstosuffering2995 It's not because he's fast... it's the tone. Shouty and grating.

it's as if all of you have drank too much coffee, but good job and very informative and entertaining.
No just enthusiasm
3:10...9 million shot taken at the BofG.. does that include small arms and artillery in one count?
I don't understand why the officer had to borrow the carbine to fire the first shot. Didn't he have one of his own???
Reardon has the stories
I agree ..... Gary is a great Professional Civil War Historian....BUT he does speak at a rapid clip that makes it hard to digest the content...a softer flow would be greatly appreciated...
I read on a book that some people gathered there like a picnic to watch the battle. Am I right?
Frank R. Pilot I think that may be more likely to be the First Battle of Bull Run where people actually took picnics etc out to watch the first main battle of the war but there could have been onlookers at Gettysburg too though i find it less likely....hope this helps!!
Mark Wylie you right, thanks and I am dig in into that book again.
Frank R. Pilot No problem Frank glad to have helped!!!
Good job guys. For some reason when listening to you I have the urge to dial a number and order a new diamond bracelet, genuine pewter figurine of a kitty cat, or perhaps a ShamWow since each will be at the low,low price of 19.95 for the next hour only!!!
Gary! GALLAGHER! GARY GALLAGHER! And this Gary too!
@13:46 “he would think a dee” -Gary! Someone clip that and make it a short I don’t know how
@13:42
And now a few years later tim Smith found the elliot map for antietam
I am a relative of Lt John Haskell Calef.
Did you found any bullets over there?
Frank R. Pilot if you do find them you can get in a loooooot of trouble if you pick up and keep any relics (if caught)
Next year, how about covering Herr’s ridge and the Confederate right and guarding the ford against US Cav on first day
How much coffee does this guy drink. Love it, very informative, learned a lot about the areas you usually don't hear about
HELLO TO THE SWEET LADY BY THE FLAME ...WELL DONE DR .CAROLL... 8 BUCKS A MO....O MY
I really love these video’s but you guys really have to drink less coffee 😀.
Heinz Guderian, I agree, I don't get the amped up delivery. It detracts from the content.
Gary's just that way normally, no coffee added.
Yep
How much coffee and Red Bull do you drink lol?
Love all these videos, gentlemen... but just one word of advice. DECAF! 😉
That's all that Garry drinks!
Cut back on the Red Bull Guys.
These videos are always great and the expertise is impressive. Unfortunately the manic ministrations by Garry Adelman makes me nuts! Settle down please!
dont smoke the white powder
They should have said how the battle began here, because it’s rather funny because it’s was over a shipment of union shoes that the confederacy wanted.
I'm sorry, folk, but come on..No end in sight?..Vicksburg, the south's Gibraltar on the Mississippi had just fallen. The only reason Robert E Lee invaded was because he was desperate
Slow down and catch a breath for a second lol
SOLDOTNA ALASKA. GREG MIZE RONNIE MIZE.....TRUE AMERICANS..
If you went to Gettysburg without a docent, you would learn next to nothing.
out standing from a civil war student

remember, people died. herel
Not even able to watch one minute in . . . too fast. I can't think like that, just not enjoyable enough to proceed.
Hope you guys are keep the trash out of the park . Given the trouble we are having with the trash messing monuments around the rest of the country
Less coffee ...

$8 a month for a widows pension is nearly $800 a month in today's money.
Yuck. Your talk too fast. Poorly done
