Interesting thing about vintage car shows is that the cars there don’t have the actual interior smell many cars had at that time. As a kid I remember the usual smell was that of an ashtray.
There’s two smokers at my apartments with emphysema who still smoke. They cough for hours while they smoke. Sad.

Love the Marlboro/Julie London set at the rainy drive-in. It is very atmospheric and mood-setting - they didn't HAVE to go to all the trouble to have a big rainy set, shoot all those seemingly uncomplicated shots inside the car with rain on the windows in every shot, but they did and it's cool and kinda cozy and I ALMOST want to be in there with them having drive-in food but ICK THE SMOKE. SO GROSS and CONFINED! Still, a fun ad, and the bongo bit in the jingle is fabulous.
These commercials were entertaining, but i so wish that time travel was a thing, so that we could go back in time and give these people's heads a shake and show them what's in their futures.
Camels had a good taste but they were so strong, I don't know how people could enjoy them. One drag had as much nicotine as an entire 1970's light cigarette. I got sick on Camels when I was about 15
My late mother's cousin thinks about his throat every time he has to use the voice box and use the tube in his throat in order to talk.
Interesting subliminal messaging in a number of old school Marlboro ads: Notice the man's hand at 1:14. In many of those Marlboro commercials the men had a tattoo similar to that on the back of their hand. It was to make people think that smoking Marlboros put you in sort of an exclusive club of "man's man" types, utilizing elementary psychology to get you to smoke their brand.

Dennis O'Keef and Dick Haymes both died of Lung Cancer barely into there 60's. Tragic. Just think how many millions died as a result of smoking.
Maybe, but most of those people back then lived lives much fuller than we can afford and imagine. 🤔🤔🤔
