Just love this family! They are nice folks! They love rodeo, each other, and their animals. Too bad so many folks never get to experience life and love like these folks. Thank you for doing such a nice story of them! I enjoyed watching!

@MimiForsyth @@nancymesek The flank strap is not "tying" up anything. If you had watched the close ups, you would see that. Although any horse can buck, most of these have been bred for generations to cultivate the talent. They spend the vast majority of their time eating and have to work all of 8 seconds once or twice a week. That is a pretty blessed life. There are, however, countless rescues out there that take in horses that are truly being abused. Perhaps consider donating your time or money to one of those great causes; instead of bashing good, honest, hardworking people that take the welfare of these animals very seriously.

Where are the other genders in today's rodeo? Fact: In the early 1900's women rode broncs & bulls in competition rodeos. ( I'll answer my own question. Women won over some of the male competitors & the "men" were embarrassed. The good ol' boys got together & pushed the women completely out of rodeo. Oh, except for the pathetic barrel racing event that nobody likes to watch.) Today's rodeo is just another example of patriarchal domination. Men glorifying themselves over others. Over other people & the animals they ride. 🤔💭
The horses are all in pain because their genitals are constrained. That's why they buck. There is no heroism in rodeo. Please do not glorify this ridiculous practice.
You couldn’t be more wrong! The reason actually is because they put a strap on their flank (area behind the genital area) and it is just like a belt buckle that’s tight that’s why the moment they take it off in rodeos they stop bucking. It’s not because of pain they are bucking it’s because of annoyance.
